My wireless wifi keeps going on and off frequently (I have to unplug and plug it back in about 10-30 times a day) and when its is connected its slow. I have a Belkin Play (high-performance Dual-Band Networking).
I have had this problem for a week now. We have a desktop, PS3, and 3 laptops connected all at the same time. No problems with the desktop, PS3 and one of the laptops so far, but my Asus A53E and the HP Pavilion keep getting disconnected every few minutes! I recently installed a Linksys router (just to try it out) and it didn't really do well so I returned it and switched back to our old router which is the DLink DIR-625 router. It was doing okay for a few days and then suddenly it just started going crazy. Both the desktop and the PS3 are connected to the router through cable, but the other laptop (Dell) is not. I don't understand why it's just the Asus and the HP that get disconnected a lot. I already tried updating my drivers and reformatting my laptop, but still nothing. I don't want to call our ISP (Shaw) and D-Link because the internet works fine on the other 3.Additional Information:
-Modem -Microsoft Security Essentials (on the Asus) -avast! (on the HP)
Wifi says connection is available and that it is full strength yet every 15-30 minutes it disconnects and a box pops up saying click to reconnect, yet it will not reconnect.... I have to totally reboot the computer to get back on wifi and I lose whatever I have done are am in the middle of
So...few days ago this is happening even more frequently, my service is from Verizon wireless. Its getting really annoying when i randomly disconnecting while im doing something important or its so slow it takes 4 minutes to load one page. Im in the basement so is my modem. Im using windows 7.
I have a Talk Talk Unlimited Internet connection in the UK.The modem they provided is D-link DSL 2780 N type ADSL+2 router. The wireless net connection is shared by 5 other people in my flat and as far as I am aware - their connections seem to be seamless..In my case - the speed of the wireless connection starts deteriorating after about 20 mins - i.e the pages start loading slower, and then a while later the pages don't load at all - but the signal strength and connection would be displayed as normal..When I try to disconnect and reconnect- Windows says it's unable to connect to the router..It runs some diagnostics and advices me to turn the router off and then on
So my internet connection keeps disconnecting every 5 or so minutes, then i reset the router and about an hour later it disconnects again. I'd say it would be a problem with the router, but everyone else's computers never disconnect, just mine. The only difference is that they all have macs and I have an Acer. I just got this computer and it was fine for about a month, but then about 2-3 weeks ago this started happening.
So, I'm connected to my router through wifi on my laptop and every 5-10 minutes I disconnect from my internet and I can't reconnect right away. I have to wait another 5-10 minutes for it to connect back. And I also can't connect the first time I start up my laptop. I need to wait 5 minutes before I can connect.
Ok so for about a week now I have a problem with router. Today I checked log of router and found sometging like this:
Wed, 2012-12-26 15:41:15 - No response to 3 echo-requestsWed, 2012-12-26 15:41:15 - Serial link appears to be disconnected.Wed, 2012-12-26 15:41:15 - Enter: tdb_store.Wed, 2012-12-26 15:41:15 - tdb_store: calling tdb_update.Wed, 2012-12-26
i have the wap4410n and i connect it with srw224g4p to provid it with power, it keeps disconnecting each 10 minutes, i tried to reset it and upgrade the firmware with no good.
trying to connect to internet. I am using a Sumvision SVW322U wireless dongle/usb to connect to the internet In the last couple of weeks it will keep disconnection every 10 - 15 mins. All drivers are up to date and i have disconnected the firewall and anti virus but still the problem occurs. My os is windows 7 Ultimate.

I am using Cisco E1000. since 1.5 years I am using the internet through this router. Past1 week i am geeting freeqent disconnecting of my internet (for all systems & devices). I am using DHCP connection with static IP.
I'm having issues with a newly bought EA 2700 router, I'm getting disconnected every 30-60 minutes. (It's a brief disconnect for about 10seconds, perhaps a huge packet loss or something?)I've tried connecting directly to the modem and that seemed to have fixed the problem, so I think that it is a router issue...? Also, my download/upload/ping is 35mbps download, 35ish mbps upload, and 8ms. (I have a 35mbps connection so that's fine) But when I connect my PC to the modem directly, my MS becomes 5, and my upload jumps to 77mbps. The download stays the same...
I started using E4200 few months ago. It used to have frequent disconnection with E4200 when it's running on router mode back then. After playing with the MTU from 1492 (recommended by ISP) to 1364, it's seems to be quite ok until recently. It is getting worst than before. It disconnect my internet almost few times in 5 minutes. I have a very well updated Laptop running XP well patched with IE7.I have run all the malware scans and there is nothing wrong on the PC.After exactly 10 minutes of the PC being on, wireless internet connection is lost, BUT:Signal Strength states "Excellent" I can't access any website at all on the web. (Except for "Facebook" for some odd reason?) I can't access it after the 10 minute mark but if I'm already on it, I can navigate thru it's site without being disconnected, don't ask me why I have tried the following:
- Dynamic and Static IP setting - Turned on and off windows firewall and rebooted each time - Ran all kinds of malware detection and virus scans - Disabled power management on network card - I've tried different PCs on the same network and they're fine - Tried ipconfig release and renew - Tried repair connection - Tried netsh reset - Tried FireFox and other browers - Logging off and back in doesn't work, must restart the computer to get another 10 minutes
my wifi loads up then less then half hour or so it will disconnect but say it is still connected it does it at my house and when i go to different locations also my wifi keeps signing me out of fifa 13 but will not sign me out of the playstation network.
I've recently had this trouble where whenever I'm playing a game [such as Sims 3] my Laptop Internet connection suddenly disconnects and I am unable to reconnect to my Internet since it doesn't come up on the connection list, so In the end I have to restart and it all happens again if I start playing again.
I have connected two dsl modems for extending wifi coverage, the main one is netgear and the extended on is D-link,but the problem is the d-links wireless disconnects every 5 minutes or so..i have connected a pc with a cable from this modem but there r no problems with pc internet...so is the hardware of modem faulty or is this due to inappropriate settings of modem,i have disabled the dhcp and changed the ip address already.
I recently bought my new Alienware laptop and it would connect to the wifi but no internet. Sometimes it works for a second or 1 minute. Now it's just a triangle with an exclamation mark saying it has no internet access. I already tried the power management. I am using a router; the other laptops in my house is fine. Could it be because the router couldn't support the internet of the Alienware? I remember seeing routers saying "Good for gaming!" something like that. I've been having this problem for 2 days now.
Some of you may remember my name from the PS3 posts I had a while back. I completely abandoned the PS3/internet connectivity issues due to it going unsolved for about a year now, I just moved to a new house recently. I can understand that it will take a bit for the family to set things up like reliable internet connectivity and what-not. But perhaps there is something that I can do relatively quickly to fix this. Perhaps it is problematic software on my computer? Here's what is happening: The internet disconnects. A lot. Sometimes it's once per 7-minute YouTube video, and just recently it was a record-breaking sixteen times within 20 minutes. I read some things about it being a problem with Adobe Flash player, because most disconnects happen during YouTube videos, but I can't get an update for it... the internet does not co-operate.
I got a brand new Vizio Ultrabook CT14-A4 running Windows 8 64bit. The problem is that the wireless will disconnect every 10-15minutes for about 30 seconds and then reconnect. It will show full bars but say No internet access or Limited. If I try to reconnect it will say that it is unable to connect to this network. I updated Windows to the fullest and updated all my drivers including the one for Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network adapter. Nothing changed. It does this on every wifi I connect to. Including home, school, other people's houses, etc. My other computer running Windows Vista works just fine with all of these wifi networks. It only disconnects for 30 seconds to a minute, but it is irritating because it will interrupt my downloads, and time me out of any sensitive websites I was on like the bank or the University self-service website.
I have a HP laptop running Windows 7. For the last couple of weeks my network adapter keeps disconnecting from Wi-fi. I have not had any issues with my desktop or the other two laptops in our house. I keep re-connecting and when it kicks me off it does a repair check and tells me that it is fixing the network adapter.
My computer connects to an unscured wifi near my home and i have internet acces for a few minuets, then it just stoppes. Sometimes if i reconnect it will run for a few more minuets 5-10. I have tried two different computers with same results. about a month ago the connection worked fine. This just started recently.I can connent and access internet at other public places with no problem. It seems only this network i have trouble with, why?I am running XP on one, and Win 7 on other, same results.I have read alot of things and tried them all,
-resetting internet options - changing tcp/ip - system restore with no results.
For some reason, wireless connections from my moms Belkin Play router #F7D4302 v1 disconnect everytime the landline phone is used! There is no phone line connected to my moms computer, modem or router
i've recently upgraded from E3200 as i wanted slightly faster and more reliable router, only to find out this one is more troublesome then the older model.
Upgraded to latest firmware:
EA Series Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Firmware
11/19/2012
Ver.1.1.39.145204
i've excellent WIFI reception - setup 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks (diffrent SSID). i've few apple computers on the WIFI, and ipod touch 5th gen with iOS 6.01.Seems that often when i browse web on the ipod, the WIFI drops (takes about 60s to reconnect - almost as if the router is rebooting). But it's not conclusive and unpredictable. It also happens just with the computers when browsing web.
My connection is up for a minute and then goes off for a minute. I don't think it has anything to do with the router itself as my room mates' laptop works just fine.
What could b the issue with my internet connection i keep losing the connection every few minutes if im idol on sites not games related i stay connected when i go onto games i start losing the connection. [code]
Recently I've been experiencing random disconnects.
My setup is a Actiontec Q1000 with (QAQ002-31.20L.4) modem/router that talks to qwest. Then I connect to a linksys router WRT54G2. I connect directly to the linksys router with an ethernet cable, but my family connects to it wirelessly.
I ran a constant ping to my modem and to google, and on the random disconnect, the Actiontec Q1000 gets a huge 4000ms response time (but then it resumes normally), and I get ping timeouts to google. Windows 7 will say "no internet connection available". Not sure if it makes a difference, but I had google timeout 4 times during my constant pings.
Nobody else is connected when it does this random disconnects, so I'm not sure what's causing it. I've tried a lot of things, from changing and flushing my dns, connecting directly to the modem, turning off QoS/firewall settings, but nothing seems to work.
just today, my PC's connection will work for 10 minutes then totally shut down. Although it still says it is connected nothing will connect. Im posting from my old laptop and obviously is still working with my internet.
