I have a HP laptop running Windows 7. For the last couple of weeks my network adapter keeps disconnecting from Wi-fi. I have not had any issues with my desktop or the other two laptops in our house. I keep re-connecting and when it kicks me off it does a repair check and tells me that it is fixing the network adapter.

However, when I try connnecting to my network the first thing it does is start connecting... it dosnt ask for the password. After attempting to connect, nothing happens. So, I set up my own network, type in the SSID and type in the password and its confirmation. It still wont connect I tried re-installing and repairing and nothing will happen..So I test it on my macbook pro and everything works fine.PS my windows XP cannot get internet at all so I cant download anything nor do I have a USB?

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I bought a TP-Link WN822N and I had recently had this annoying problem with my adapter suddenly it disconnects but it mostly happens when I'm gaming so I'm clueless what the problem is. I tried to change the channels in my router in case it was any interference but no luck there. I also checked if it was just my "internet" but the internet went smooth. Also I did watch over the connection and it did suddenly change name to another one. It was the same network but it change to NetworkProfile, ain't sure if that's the problem though. I also tried to install a new driver over and over but no solution. My old adapter was just fine and there was no disconnects there before I got an upgrade which didn't seem to be good investment because of the disconnects. The disconnects can happen between 10-20 minutes before it occurs.

They both do the same thing.If i connect my HTC hero and start internet sharing, it works very well, and is stable. My ethernet works fine as well. It is like my computer is immune to PCI cards?I have tried with different wifi APs now, but its still the same.I have a zyxel adsl modem, and a linksys wifi AP hooked up to that. I noticed, that when my desktop is connected, the zyxel will get some kind of overflow from the linksys. It says "client reached max number of sessions per host" It's like my desktop is killing the network. I have tried many things. Drivers, fail safe, registry cleaner(I know), killing all unnescessary program, switching the PCI ports, but none of it seems to work.

i just recently built a new computer (well today) and i plugged in a wirless usb adaptor that was about 2 years old and it was pretty fast but it still lagged my game starcraft (i was just trying it out to see how the computer would handle it). I went out and bought a brand new xtreme N desktop PCI adapter and it is even slower, and it disconnects every 5 seconds it seems. I installed it correctly and installed all the drivers, I also have rebooted the computer and it is still slow and wont even connect for a full youtube video. am i doing something wrong or is my adapter the problem (i am doing this on my laptop which is right beside my computer and is still connected to the internet).i cannot wire my computer to my router because it is to far away so that isn't a solution.

I have a TP Link TL-WN722N 150mbps USB wireless adapter I use with my desktop. I've had it for about 6 months and it has been mostly fine with a few little problems. I recently went away for a few weeks and when I returned I found that my wireless adapter is running very slowly and disconecting from the router. It is an adapter problem as no one else in my house is having the same issues. When the adapter does run slowly the only way to speed it up is to unplug it and plug it in again. This puts it back to a bearable speed but usually this drops within 30 minutes.

No problems with the desktop, PS3 and one of the laptops so far, but my Asus A53E and the HP Pavilion keep getting disconnected every few minutes! I recently installed a Linksys router (just to try it out) and it didn't really do well so I returned it and switched back to our old router which is the DLink DIR-625 router. It was doing okay for a few days and then suddenly it just started going crazy. Both the desktop and the PS3 are connected to the router through cable, but the other laptop (Dell) is not. I recently bought my new Alienware laptop and it would connect to the wifi but no internet. Sometimes it works for a second or 1 minute. Now it's just a triangle with an exclamation mark saying it has no internet access. I already tried the power management. I am using a router; the other laptops in my house is fine. i've excellent WIFI reception - setup 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks (diffrent SSID). i've few apple computers on the WIFI, and ipod touch 5th gen with iOS 6.01.Seems that often when i browse web on the ipod, the WIFI drops (takes about 60s to reconnect - almost as if the router is rebooting). But it's not conclusive and unpredictable. It also happens just with the computers when browsing web.
so my son has been playing xbox for way to long and i am trying to get him to go outside. i want to block the xbox from the network so it disconnects him when he goes on for to long. is there any program that i can use to do this so i dont have to manually take the Ethernet wire from his room every time.

I tried changing the location of the router, even bringing it 5 feet away from the desktop.I tried playing around with the settings of the router (channel)I even upgraded my Internet connection to 35 mbps which comes with a new modem/gateway which acts as a wireless router too. The new gateway also loses wireless connection.I don know what to do as I ruled out everything. Its not the ISP problem, its not a router issue, and its not a specific computer problem. I just dot know what to do. I really don want to run cables to all of my computers
