So I just bought new laptop. Everything was fine, wireless was working fine until now. My wireless started disconnecting. Tried on old laptop - everything cool. On new laptop - it keeps disconnecting.
The problem is my wireless network keeps disconnecting once in a while (approx. every day or two). When it goes out, eventually I am unable to connect any of my desktops or laptops wirelessly until I power cycle the modem and the router. But the ones connected by wire work fine. Here is what Ive gone through to trouble shoot:I called my ISP provider, and they said if Im not having problems connected directly to the modem they It works for weeks connected directly with no problems.I called the manufacturer of the router, and they said since it works by wire, and m able to get a connection wirelessly, it not their issue.I upgraded the firmware on the router.I went through 2 different brand new routers (Linksys and DLink), and also tried new adapters.
I tried changing the location of the router, even bringing it 5 feet away from the desktop.I tried playing around with the settings of the router (channel)I even upgraded my Internet connection to 35 mbps which comes with a new modem/gateway which acts as a wireless router too. The new gateway also loses wireless connection.I don know what to do as I ruled out everything. Its not the ISP problem, its not a router issue, and its not a specific computer problem. I just dot know what to do. I really don want to run cables to all of my computers
My Inspiron 6400 network card keeps disconnecting from my wireless network. In order to get it working again, I have to turn off the wireless fn key and turn it back on again. This usually works for a few minutes than I lose connection again. Is there anything I can do to correct this?
I'm running Arch Linux on an Acer laptop and my wirless connection doesn't stay up. After a while it disconnects, and when I try to reconnect I get stuck with a "Waiting for authorization" message. I have to retry several times before getting the connection stay up for few minutes. This happens with both networkmanager and wicd. The strange thing is that the iMac that sits next to the laptop connects fine, and when I use my laptop within the university wireless network it works normally.
The network is constantly disconnecting from my devices and wont let me reconnect...I reset the network completely back to factory settings and started from there. Some of my devices didnt want to connect at all after the complete reset. These are the settings that I have changed: SSID has been changed, wifi security(wpa2 personal,AES) ,channel(width=20, channel=auto) ,DNS server(changed to Norton DNS: 198.153.192.40 & 198.153.194.40) & router management logon password & firmware upgrade to 3.0.03...
so my son has been playing xbox for way to long and i am trying to get him to go outside. i want to block the xbox from the network so it disconnects him when he goes on for to long. is there any program that i can use to do this so i dont have to manually take the Ethernet wire from his room every time.
I have had the virgin media superhub on 30mb broadband for about a month and over the last week I have been disconnecting from my network up to as much as 3 or 4 times a minute or sometimes once in five minutes and other times it just vanishes from the network list for about 30 seconds then re-appears, sometimes when I disconnect it re-connects almost instantly other times I have to wait about a minute or sometimes even longer even though I can permanently see my neighbours network and my laptop does not have this problem.. I payed 50 for a new wireless card to try and fix the problem and it was fine for a few weeks now it is the same. Restarting the router makes no difference and this is happening all constantly over the last week without fail, i have tried updating my wireless drivers and using different wireless cards.
I have a HP laptop running Windows 7. For the last couple of weeks my network adapter keeps disconnecting from Wi-fi. I have not had any issues with my desktop or the other two laptops in our house. I keep re-connecting and when it kicks me off it does a repair check and tells me that it is fixing the network adapter.
I am pretty new to networking and I have been working on things for over a week and have made some progress which has lead me here. My basic problem is that my network (media shares) is disconnecting from WDTVLIVE while steaming shows through playon. However, I can stream 1080p movies that are stored on my PC all day with no problems. Even when the media shares disconnect, network shares (stuff stores on my PC_) are still available and stream fine.
My Linksys Wireless-N Home Router, having a model no: WRT120N keeps disconnecting and connecting.. what is the best thing I could do to eliminate that?
I am on the internet, let's say browsing youtube, or play multiplayer games, sometimes my internet will crash and disconnect me, leaving that familiar yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. and that will stay there for about 1-5 minutes and then will reconnect me in. but sometimes it will just keep doing that repeatedly.I've tried to work it out myself, power cycling and everything but nothing seem to work.
This issue is on my laptop, and I am using wireless connectivity
-My isp is AOL (as long as I know) I live in Quebec and my broadband is from bell, well I think it's DSL or Cable, it uses the phone cable..
-My router is a linksys WRT54G and Modem is Speedstream 4200 ethernet/usb ASDL modem.
-I use AVG9, Malwarebytes. I am intending to switch anti-virus software but do not know which one is the best.
Whenever I disonect a network drive - the computer blue screens.I have run all of the usual driver fixes and no solution, (sfc /scannow, 3rd party drive correction, etc).
I am using a Wifi router at my home for internet usage and wifi of my laptop(dell Inspiron N5110) keeps disconnecting frequently. I tried many forums and solutions but still this problem is not resolved.

My computer keeps disconnecting to the wireless, however the internet connection is available and we can use playstation 3 through it. I have pinged this, but i am not sure what it means?
Ok i have 2 computers, 1 that uses wired connection and the one i use is wireless. I am one room away from the wireless router so i use a wireless adapter to get internet. Lately i have been losing connection constantly and when i solve the problem by clicking troubleshoot problem it always says default gateway was lost and it fixes it. It happened like 10 times in like 10 minutes. I was wondering if theres any way to fix this. Is it my adapter or my rounter or something else?
So my router from CenturyLink died about a week ago. So I got a new router from CenturyLink, and ever since then my internet keeps disconnecting and then reconnecting. I have tried to put an ethernet cable in the back of my computer but my ethernet port doesn't work, so I use a wireless adapter. It is a D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme Desktop Adapter IEEE 802.11g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2.0 32-bit PCI Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA2. My connection is excellent. Speed is 130 mbps.
I have a d link router model dir 815 and a d link usb dual band adapter. Just replaced my linksys ones with these. Every day my wirless drops out, maybe 5 times a day and its really annoying us all. I hva eto unplug the router and then plug back in as this is the only thing that makes it go back on line. My Ipad and other wireless devices seem to stay connected all the time but the desk top is the one to go down. I am ready to take the d link stuff back to london drugs and revert to my old linksys unless i can solve this problem
I've had this laptop for nearly a year and a half. I've never had a problem with it but recently, in the last month internet keeps disconnecting every couple of minutes!! Though the times do vary on other days. I'm a student and I live with other students. It seems that this doesn't happen to anyone else in the house but my internet works fine when I go home. I can't work out if it's a problem with the internet here or my laptop.
I am having problems with my wifi connection, it has been going on for a while now, i got it fixed by a computer guy but then i had to reset my entire computer and now my internet will stay on for about a minute or two and then disconnect again and so on but after a certain period of time (2-3 hrs usually) it will stay connected until my computer gets shut down.. I am on an Acer Aspire 5315-2822 i have disconnected the "acer empowering technology" and i know that has nothing to do with the problem because it was always disconnected when my internet ran steady. There are 4 other networks in my area, if that means anything? Not to mention im using windows vista.
My wireless connection on my laptop keeps disconnecting. It seems like it disconnects every 5-10 minutes. I know it's not my router because my cousin came over and had zero problems with his wireless connection. I have to reset my laptop at least once a day because it decides there are no wireless connections and I can no longer right click it if this happens. Every once and a while I'll just have to unplug my router and plus it back in to fix the problem if trouble shooting wont work.
I have a Talk Talk Unlimited Internet connection in the UK.The modem they provided is D-link DSL 2780 N type ADSL+2 router. The wireless net connection is shared by 5 other people in my flat and as far as I am aware - their connections seem to be seamless..In my case - the speed of the wireless connection starts deteriorating after about 20 mins - i.e the pages start loading slower, and then a while later the pages don't load at all - but the signal strength and connection would be displayed as normal..When I try to disconnect and reconnect- Windows says it's unable to connect to the router..It runs some diagnostics and advices me to turn the router off and then on
I've got a LAN set up with a server and printer, no internet connectivity to it. When I need to access the internet, I connect through a wireless hotspot. The only problem is that I have to unplug the ethernet from my LAN connection for the wireless to work.Is there a way to have both connections coexist, so that when I need to print something or access a file on my server I can do so without it interfering with my internet connection?
My wireless disconnect;s only when a certain person with a i-pod calls me on my cordless home phone,It never disconnects except for when she calls and as soon as it rings,I recieve many calls and no disconnects, How can this be???
I use a wireless network in Singapore through a router. For the past year or so, my wireless network keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. However, most often the wireless icon in the tray often makes no mention that the wireless has not disconnected. This same problem happens on my whole family's laptops no matter whether they use windows xp, vista, or windows 7. Occasionally my whole network disappears and i actually do disconnect and i can't find the network till i switch on and off my router.

It's a D-Link Wireless N 150.I constantly get an "Excellent" signal from the router, but my HP Mini netbook keeps disconnecting and re-connecting. It happens three to ten times in each hour, and it re-connects quickly, but the hiccup is annoying. Once in a blue moon, it'll disconnect and refuse to re-connect for a while.Other items that use the router--our iPhones, our Nintendo 3DS's, our Wii, our Xbox--don't have an issue. My netbook doesn't have a problem if I use wireless somewhere else, like in a coffee shop or McDonalds or wherever.I've tried updating my drivers, without much luck.

The router is connected to the desk top that my husband uses,, his is not wireless but my laptop is. the laptop wireless connection keep disconnecting and then reconnecting on it's own. This just started a couple of months ago. At first I thought it was the router but my daughter came over with her laptop and as mine was connecting and disconnecting hers was just fine so that has led me to believe it is my computer... but what could it be? I have a wireless mouse and USB speakers plugged into my computer but nothing else and we do not have a cordless phone that could be interfering. could it be my cell phone? why would it have not been doing it all along if there were the case?
