View 2 RepliesAbout three(3) months ago, I attempted to set up a wired network between a laptop running w-7 and a desktop with w-xp, sp3. Shortly afterwards, I started getting blue screens with error messages and codes about device confilcts. After disconecting the laptop, I still have the problem sometimes. I looked into the system, and found twenty-seven(27) items with yellow exclamation marks on them. Should I delete them or just disable them?

Two of those associates have recently started experiencing BSoD shortly after connecting to the customers network using the AnyConnect client v2.4.1012. I do not know for sure that AnyConnect is causing the problem, or is conflicting with something resulting in the blue screen, but in searching it appears it may be. The two associates having the problem also have the AT&T Global Dialer client installed on their assigned computer, and I have seen this has been a problem in the past with v2.2, though this was supposedly resolved. The other curious thing is that this just started happening, though they have been using the client for several months now, and the AT&T client has been installed the entire time.
All computers are XP SP3, Windows firewall disabled, McAfee 8.7.0i, and Verizon VZ Connect. The only computers with this problem are the ones with the AT&T dialer, and like I said, this just started to happen after several months without an issue.I would really like to avoid removing the AT&T client as they need that to connect to a different customer's network.
I am using Windows XP SP3. The problem which I face is mention as under, When I starts my laptop and its reaches to WinXP screen (appears after BIOS and Before Windows Explorer) at this time if my Laptop WIFI is enable than suddenly a blue screen ( means blue color screen with information which is a glance for me and unable to read) appears and my system goes to restart periodically. Next Scenario appears, system reaches to windows explorer healthy by disable WIFI connection, at the time of enabling WIFI and start search for Networks in range suddenly the same blue screen appears and system goes too halted and need to be restart. For resolving this issue by myself I am trying to reinstall my copy of Windows XP numbers of time but the same issue came in front of me repetitively, I am using my own WIFI router with Internet Connection and there are many others WIFI connection is also available near to my location.

If I recall correctly it had something to do with 802.11G still being in its final stages of ratification and D-Link was doing things to try and get their gear working as fast as possible.

I am using a tplink router and it's working fine as as I'm currently typing this on my mobile.

I have a blueray player that I want to put in the computer that works as a server for me. The server is the computer that I have the vpn attached to and is therefore the one that gets all of the downloads as well.I am also thinking of upgrading the network for this to 1000 bit - N standard? With the faster throughput on the internet will it be feasible to stream a blueray across the network?

1. I have 1252 & 1142 AP's connected to the Wism (6.0.188.0 code)
2. FWSM I have a 4402 (6.0.188.0 ) appliance connected as my anchor.
3. ACS is ver 4.2
All of my wireless networks function as expected. I see the successful auth in ACS. I just built a new WPA2 network and set it up to use Splash screen redirect. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it just wont work. IE or Mozilla.Test 1 was to drop the users at the wism. There was no splash screen. There was no evidence of my url-redirect in the wireshark trace.Test 2 used the 4402 as my anchor point with the same results. In both cases the client was authenticated and was able to navigate the internet and other duties. The problem is apon opening the broswer there is no redirect.
I have a windows 7 desktop with an SSD and regular mechanical hard drive where I keep my data. I also have a laptop with a small SSD as well. I wanted to keep the laptop free of non-critical data so I decided to setup a file share between my desktop (Windows 7 home prem) and my laptop (Windows 7 pro). I was able share the files and navigate to my desktop through my laptop. I successfully mapped the folder as a network drive and all was well. Then I rebooted and I was disconnected from it, it remembered that it was there but I needed to manually connect to it and I needed to provide my login credentials. There is no password just a username.
What is causing this and is there a way to get around this? Also is there a way to set a timeout because if my desktop is not on and I want to use my laptop, the boot times are much longer compared to when I don't have the mapped network drive on my laptop at all.
I'm trying to see if I can fix my friend's NAS which apparently has some pretty important data on it that wasn't saved anywhere else. They actually had the Geeksquad look at it and they've come to the same conclusion I have so far, but I figured I would ask the internet before I gave the thing back to them and said Geeksquad was right.
Anyways, they have this 5 drive RAIDed NAS which apparently just stopped showing up on their network. I borrowed it from them to see if I could figure it out. It turns on just fine and my router assigns it an IP address, but the IP address just takes me to a blank LaCie dashboard screen. It's weird because it's clearly running it's web server because it's just a gray background with an empty white box and "(c) LaCie 2010" at the bottom. No content at all.
Additionally, I tried installing the LaCie Network Assistant on my home computer and it says it cannot find any network disks. I've tried the "wake up a device" where I enter the mac address, but that doesn't do anything.
All the lights are solid blue on the front and over all the drives so it doesn't appear a drive has failed or something. Even so, that wouldn't really explain the blank dashboard right?
My WLSE 1030 hard drive failed and I have replaced it with a new drive but when I boot from the 2.15 recovery CD the disc boots and runs, within the console connection I get the error "ERROR: version information not found in flash" the disc is the ejected and the system reboots. How can I reload the system software.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe problem is my wireless network keeps disconnecting once in a while (approx. every day or two). When it goes out, eventually I am unable to connect any of my desktops or laptops wirelessly until I power cycle the modem and the router. But the ones connected by wire work fine. Here is what Ive gone through to trouble shoot:I called my ISP provider, and they said if Im not having problems connected directly to the modem they It works for weeks connected directly with no problems.I called the manufacturer of the router, and they said since it works by wire, and m able to get a connection wirelessly, it not their issue.I upgraded the firmware on the router.I went through 2 different brand new routers (Linksys and DLink), and also tried new adapters.
I tried changing the location of the router, even bringing it 5 feet away from the desktop.I tried playing around with the settings of the router (channel)I even upgraded my Internet connection to 35 mbps which comes with a new modem/gateway which acts as a wireless router too. The new gateway also loses wireless connection.I don know what to do as I ruled out everything. Its not the ISP problem, its not a router issue, and its not a specific computer problem. I just dot know what to do. I really don want to run cables to all of my computers
My wireless keeps on disconncting why

It just continuously prompts for username/password.She is running Win 7 Pro, server is Server 2008. The server is on a domain, she is not. She already has a mapped drive to a different folder on the same server as well as to a folder on another server. We are trying to map using the IP address (\IPFolder) and have tried putting the username as IPUsername and just Username with no luck. Tried mapping with net use. Found some stuff online about changing some registry values - tried that. Change the network type from "Home" to "Work" and still no luck.

I payed 50 for a new wireless card to try and fix the problem and it was fine for a few weeks now it is the same. Restarting the router makes no difference and this is happening all constantly over the last week without fail, i have tried updating my wireless drivers and using different wireless cards.

The wireless network has a router (SpeedPort W 701V) that connects to internet, this wireless network is password secured (WPA personal) and open to any device that knows the password.
I've seen some supposed 'tutorials' on this but they differ quite a bit: do any of you know for sure how to map a microsoft skydrive folder as a network drive so that clients can use it as a 'normal' way of sharing files?the same question could be posed for Google Docs - I guess these are competitors/equivalent in aim.
