my Dell laptop was working fine when suddenly I received the blue error screen. I ran repair and the computer started working, and only without Internet. Network troubleshooter finds problems with both cable and wifi adapter, and everything is fine on device manager, and but nothing shows up on ipconfog/all command. I am using a tplink router and it's working fine as as I'm currently typing this on my mobile.

Shortly afterwards, I started getting blue screens with error messages and codes about device confilcts. After disconecting the laptop, I still have the problem sometimes. I looked into the system, and found twenty-seven(27) items with yellow exclamation marks on them. Should I delete them or just disable them?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several associates that I am supporting who are working at a customer site. Two of those associates have recently started experiencing BSoD shortly after connecting to the customers network using the AnyConnect client v2.4.1012. I do not know for sure that AnyConnect is causing the problem, or is conflicting with something resulting in the blue screen, but in searching it appears it may be. The two associates having the problem also have the AT&T Global Dialer client installed on their assigned computer, and I have seen this has been a problem in the past with v2.2, though this was supposedly resolved. The other curious thing is that this just started happening, though they have been using the client for several months now, and the AT&T client has been installed the entire time.
All computers are XP SP3, Windows firewall disabled, McAfee 8.7.0i, and Verizon VZ Connect. The only computers with this problem are the ones with the AT&T dialer, and like I said, this just started to happen after several months without an issue.I would really like to avoid removing the AT&T client as they need that to connect to a different customer's network.
A customer of ours has a Linksys WAG120N but the wireless card in their machine is a D-Link AirPlus DWL-G510.After having ripped my hair out trying to work out what the problem is including taking the machine to our base where it worked on both a WiFi hub and an adhoc network but promptly BlueScreened again when I got it back to the customer's site we tried as a very last ditch effort putting the router back to their old D-Link wireless router and the machine worked perfectly again.Why the router is causing a BlueScreen of Death?The only thing I can come up with is given the age of the card it may have something to do with the period where some D-Link cards disliked being connected to anything but other D-Link gear. If I recall correctly it had something to do with 802.11G still being in its final stages of ratification and D-Link was doing things to try and get their gear working as fast as possible.

It was working then out of know where i logged off and logged back in when i changed classes and it doesnt work anymore. In the device manager it says it is installed but cannot start.
(Before this I was able to connect with wifi almost instantly without a problem.)

Windows Device Manager tells me the device is working normally. The WiFi switch is on but the WiFi catcher doesn't find any networks. I can connect to my home network with an Ethernet cable and my desktop, which is on the same network, can connect so i know its not my modem or router.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Studio 1557 laptop (purchased in late December 2009) that all of a sudden has lost wireless connection to the internet. Went to use it last night (Thursday) for normal use and no wireless connection at all. Before this issue, there were no problems connecting thru wireless at all...in fact used it Wednesday evening for work/surfing and no problems whatsoever. We are using a Linksys 160N router...have 2 other computers and 2 iPod Touches that are connecting just fine, absolutely no problems. It can connect thru a wired connection with no problems but nothing thru wireless...this is a fairly new router, about 10 days old, but haven't had any issues with it since set-up.
I didn't have much of a chance to do anything about this last night or this morning. I really don't want to bother calling Dell Support either.

The problem i am experiencing is that on my home network i have been using for several years now one computer on my network suddenly cannot get online..however it can connect. They determined that all is working well and all settings are as they should be. I then contacted my ISP, Cox communications and was essentially told the same thing. This is after going through several tests with each, such as ping tests, turning the gateway off/on, reviewing settings such as TCP/IP, DNS, etc, etc. The findings were that i have IP addresses and everything else that should be there. Ive turned off the firewall, disabled antivirus, reset tcp/ip stack and winsock. I have been working on this for two days and after paying for it still do not have it fixed. The computer acts as it normally does, no other problems except that when i press the IE icon to open a browser window it tries to go to my homepage, google, but then reverts to the "page cannot be displayed screen". This computer is running XP SP2 and is a wired connection(although it was wireless when i first experienced the problem because i have a network adapter installed as well..but i disabled it and enabled my LAC and used the ethernet cable because this is one of the exercises cisco ahd me perform to see if i could connect wired/wirelessly.. better bandwidth anyway at 100mbps compared to the 56mbps with the wireless-g adapter). The othe computer is a laptop running windows 7.

Now I should qualify I'm a member of my employers IT Service Desk and I'm trying to discover how to fix this problem as its becoming more and more common (to the point we've even opened a Problem Report PR) but I'm unsure if the network ops team have contacted the TAC for support.
What I've done in the VPN client is set "LOG LEVEL 15" against everything so it spits everything out for diagnosis. This laptop I have 2 weeks ago was fine, since then its been spitting 412 error. And its beginning to frustrate the userbase.
- Laptop types: Dell E6400/E6410/E4310
- Connection Types: WiFi, Cabled or NextG mobile devices.
- VPN Version: 05.00.0003.0560a
- VPN Type: We use Group Authentication for the profile, then RSA + Domain login on the other end.
- OS: Win XP SP3
What have we tried:
- Deleting and recreating the RSA SecurID account for the user
- Reimaging the laptop
- Reinstalling the VPN
- Repairing the laptop
- Recreating the *.pcf file for the profile.
Originally I had found if using a NextG device and turning off the WiFi it would stop the 412 error but that has stopped working as a workaround and I've tried on both a cable connection (Direct to modem) and direct to my routed/switched network at home. Same error on 2 different types of internet connection.
In the log when I set L15 debugging I found....

I am trying to bridge internet connection received from my laptop to my desktop with an ethernet cable. Both machines are running win 7.When I try to connect to my local area connection on the desktop most of the time it fails and I'm left with 'Unidentified network' and no internet connection. Just went to a clients to move the office from one building to the other, couldn't log into the server so went to the terminal and saw the machine wasn't responsive in windows - users still able to access files and Quickbooks. I had to force shut down the machine.Now I fire it up, it gets to the login screen, and when I log in it gets stuck on the welcome screen. I can get into safe mode, i do not see any errors in event viewer that jump out. Hard drive lights are blicking like crazy at the welcome screen. But still can't get into it, and then the machine seems to lock up.

Now when i do close the lid, the touchpad reacts to the screen and starts doing all sorts of crazy things, zooming in and out, moving the taskbar around, opening things and deleting things.Ive resorted having to place a cloths or kleenex folded in half over the touchpad when i close the lid. ive also disabled the touch and used a mouse and no problems. I have updated the drivers and dell toucpad, ive even uninstalled everything and installed the synaptic drivers and touchpad software.. Yet another problem with the l521x.How can i fix this? maybe the touchpad is defective and has to be replaced?

Vista had Windows MeetingSpace which would have been absolutely perfect. Windows 7 has SharedView, which is discontinued, is a separate download, and has to be used over the internet with a windows live login.Is there some VNC, free app out there that the teacher can put on his laptop, and have everyone connect to? Over the lan? There are many web-based options, but that probably be slow.
I can use the Bomgar and work and host a presentation, which is what I will probably do, but I have a feeling it is going to suck up a ton of bandwidth and run like crap. His laptop is windows7 installed and it's unable to connect to the home router. It worked until afternoon, then the laptop was off for a while and since then it's not connecting. Rebooted both router and laptop several times. Other devices in house connects to the router but the laptop shows no connection present.

I have not had this issue with two other laptops with the same settings. The adapter has been uninstalled, driver updated, tried different router and adapter settings, etc. with no luck. I have a Netgear N300 wireless router. My laptop is Sonay Viao, running Windows 7.
This morning my internet was unreliable, and dropping every minute or so. Trying to trouble shoot, I switched the router off then on again. Now I have no wireless signal between my laptop and router. The router doesn't seem to be recognising the security password. I have not changed the password - this is still the original password for the router. Other devices are still talking wirelessly to the router.
My wireless internet connection on my laptop. The connection seems to work fine on other laptops in the flat. It works on mine too. Then after a short time the internet connection fails and the laptop says it's unable to connect to preffered wireless network, and unable to detect any wireless networks (usually there are others around too).The amount of time before this happens seems to be getting less. I have cheched that the radio switch on the side of the laptop is on.

I can still connect completely but it says with "limited access," which results in me being unable to access the internet at all. The rest of the computers in the house work fine on the wifi and I double-checked the securtiy settings (WAP2 and all that) and it seems fine. What can I do? Tethering to my phone allows me to get on the internet and the computer connects successfully, but no websites will load whatsoever.

All other devices in my house are getting a perfect signal from the network but my computer either can't find it, or only has 1 green bar and says it cannot connect. I've tried a system restore, I've tried to troubleshoot on my computer and can't figure it out. The weird thing is it is picking up other wireless signals fine (like my neighbors, ect) but just not my home one. No problems except that when on the internet the web pages will suddenly drop to the bottom of the page and it is almost impossible to scroll back to the top. This is intermittent. It didn't happen the first week I had it and I have never had that problem with my laptop. Also, the cursor seems to want to move around when in areas that I am going to type in, like to do a search or put in the site name or such. All security is in place, Dell facilitated me with that via the phone.

I was using the Internet fine lastnight switched on my acer laptop this morning and wasnt connected to the router. I tried connecting but it just fails. I'm still able to connect with my iPad and iPod. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the network adapter however this fails to successfully install. I've searched for hours but can't find a solution. I'm also unable to reset the router etc because I live in china and the router is in a roommates room whose door is locked.
