View 1 RepliesRecently I bought a TP-Link WN822N and I had recently had this annoying problem with my adapter suddenly it disconnects but it mostly happens when I'm gaming so I'm clueless what the problem is. I tried to change the channels in my router in case it was any interference but no luck there. I also checked if it was just my "internet" but the internet went smooth. Also I did watch over the connection and it did suddenly change name to another one. It was the same network but it change to NetworkProfile, ain't sure if that's the problem though. I also tried to install a new driver over and over but no solution. My old adapter was just fine and there was no disconnects there before I got an upgrade which didn't seem to be good investment because of the disconnects. The disconnects can happen between 10-20 minutes before it occurs.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi just recently built a new computer (well today) and i plugged in a wirless usb adaptor that was about 2 years old and it was pretty fast but it still lagged my game starcraft (i was just trying it out to see how the computer would handle it). I went out and bought a brand new xtreme N desktop PCI adapter and it is even slower, and it disconnects every 5 seconds it seems. I installed it correctly and installed all the drivers, I also have rebooted the computer and it is still slow and wont even connect for a full youtube video. am i doing something wrong or is my adapter the problem (i am doing this on my laptop which is right beside my computer and is still connected to the internet).i cannot wire my computer to my router because it is to far away so that isn't a solution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a TP Link TL-WN722N 150mbps USB wireless adapter I use with my desktop. I've had it for about 6 months and it has been mostly fine with a few little problems. I recently went away for a few weeks and when I returned I found that my wireless adapter is running very slowly and disconecting from the router. It is an adapter problem as no one else in my house is having the same issues. When the adapter does run slowly the only way to speed it up is to unplug it and plug it in again. This puts it back to a bearable speed but usually this drops within 30 minutes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop PC using Windows 7 Pro. and a Airlink N 150 Mini USB wireless adapter. My 2Wire modem/router from AT&T was failing to stay connected and was replaced today with a Netgear 7550 modem/router from AT&T. I installed the Netgear 7550 and am able to access the internet with my Asus Laptop, my LG Thrill phone, and my Samsung Galaxy 2 tablet with no problems. However, my Desktop cannot connect to the internet and the Window Network diagnostics returned the following message: Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration. How do I go about connecting my desktop to the Netgear modem/router so that I have access to the internet? By the way I am able to connect to the internet using an ethernet cable and a LAN connection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my own home just testing my E1000 works fine as an access point with an E3500 as primary router using Linksys:
method 1 (lan-lan connection) with E1000 IP reset to 192.168.1.2 and DHCP off and with
method 2 (lan-wan) with E1000 IP reset to 192.168.2.1 and DHCP On and different wireless SSID.
In my daughters building where I need it, I cannot get the E1000 to work as an access point. The primary router is an Airlink AR675W with ip 192.168.0.1 (255.255.255.0) delivering addresses 100 to 150.
When i try the E1000 in either method I get no internet connection on devices connected hardwired or wirelessly to the E1000. Before each setup I used the reset button and the factory defaults tab
method1 (lan-lan) I set the E1000 to IP 192.168.0.2 to be different than the Airlink and DHCP off.
method2 (lan-wan) with E1000 IP reset to 192.168.2.1 and DHCP On and different wireless SSID.
Why I cannot connect to the internet in this way behind the Airlink primary router.
my mac adress is blouck frome the roter i am change my mac address ip address but not conctin the same roter .and conect to other routers.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Lenovo Y 560 using a wireless connection to an Apple Airport extreme. I have been using this set up for a few months without any problems. However, recently, my computer has been disconnecting at random time for 30-60 seconds. There isn't any lag before or after and this occurs when gaming or browsing. The weird thing is, there are about 15 other PCs and Macs using the airport and none of them are experiencing this problem. I used my 'one key recovery' button and restored my computer to the factory default and updated/reinstalled all wireless drivers and the problem still persists. At this point I'm stumped, any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new wireless router (new network, entirely). I used to get intermittent "network access denied" messages. Now, I get intermittent connectivity loss: "No internet access." I typically just right click and troubleshoot. The problem is solved and I get the following message: "Problem with wireless adapter or access point." Once fixed, things go on well for a random time (never more then a day). Then, however, they just fall apart.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently entered the realm of wireless networking for my desktops and was able to connect my personal desktop successfully. Unfortunately, the other desktop I really need to make wireless is having difficulties. The computer never shows the message that a new device is discovered/installed. The adapter shows up under hardware devices and functioning properly but this is not the case. I installed the driver from the included CD but when I use Windows to troubleshoot, it says that the driver and adapter aren't working. When trying to set up a new network, I get a grayed-out wireless icon in the system tray and can't proceed. I disabled the firewall and antivirus so I could start over, uninstalling the driver, restarting and installing again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my computer (not laptop) from Windows XP to Windows 7-32 bit. I redownloaded and installed Network Magic, Linksys Wireless Manager and my WUSB600N adapter properly (I hope). Now everything was working fine, I was able to get onto my network through the adapter but today I noticed that the Linksys Wireless Manager seemed to not connect to my network, instead my computer some how did it without the wireless manager. Now when I tried to connect to a network through the Wireless Manager it said Error: 211 and said My Adapter may not be installed properly and told me to remove the adapter and attach it back after 20 seconds. I tried that but again my computer connected to the network STILL through the computers own manager not through the Linksys Wireless Manager. That was still saying Error 211. So the problem really is that the Linksys Wireless Manager wont detect my adapter but my computer is still able to detect it and connect to my network.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes I cannot connect to the router after my computer has been to sleep. This has occurred on different routers. I can still see the network, but am told I cannot connect when attempting to connect to it. Restarting/shut down does not solve the problem - I have to restart the router itself, and then my computer will reconnect automatically. Other computers/devices will be unaffected by this and maintain a connection the entire time. Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter using Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

I have an older computer (hp compaq) that was wiped clean and windows xp professional (version 2002 service pack 3), Internet explorer and Microsoft were installed. I took the USB wireless adapter (belkin 54g usb network adapter, which stills works on my old computer) and installed onto the new one. It shows good strength but is limited or no connectivity and will not allow any Internet access. ipcong/renew, win socket commands and all my settings are correct.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the D-link DWA 556 wireless adapter. I tried installing it but the computer couldn't find it in the device manager. I tried 3 different slots and I had the same problem each time.
I called tech support and he said that my motherboard must not be compatible with the card. I don't think this is the case but it was the only advice he could give me. I have an MSI P67A-G45 board. I removed all drivers from my previous card before installing the DWA 556 because I heard they can clash with each other.
Looking at getting an older second computer onto the internet. We have a wireless connection on the primary computer so I was looking at the TP-Link TL-WN321G USB network adapter, or the TP-LINK WN350GD PCI network adapter. The end goal of course is to get the old computer onto wireless, but not sure what the best way to do it is. I'd think the motherboard would accept the PCI card though we do somewhat lack USB facilities. The computer uses a USB hub which I'm not sure if it would impact on internet speeds at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am with Virgin media (UK) and have the 20mbps fiber optic connection. My area has recently been having problems with the broadband and Virgin has recently fixed these problems. However I used to get around 19mbps now that the problem is fixed my computer which is wired to the router gets about 0.4mbps downstream... However the 5 wireless computers all get 16mbps which is pretty good for them. Windows tells me that its a firewall issue and I currently can't use two programs, spotify and steam. They both have firewall issues, even if I turn off my firewall which is the windows one. I also have avast, and when I turn that off, still no good. I used OpenDNS, stopped using that flushed my DNS, that didnt work. I tried to optimize my computer settings, by changing various values in Regedit. All of this has done nothing. I should add that I have recently re-installed Windows 7 so on this fresh install it has never had decent internet speed. Which I thought was weird.. I have basically had these problems since the fresh install. All of my drivers are up to date.
