what's the Intel wifi 5300 part number for the Latitude E4300?I bought one off of ebay that seems to be a generic version but Win7 x64 keeps giving a "device cannot start (code 10)" error. The seller insists it should work for a Dell Latitude E4300 and he send me the correct part. I have tried the latest Intel driver to no avail. I might end up getting a refund from the seller.

From the Dell Drivers and Downloads page, I downloaded the WiFi Link 5300 driver (R213215.exe) assuming it would enable my WiFi to run. I tried to install it and was met with an error message: "This installation is not supported on this operating system version. The setup application will exit." It will not install and my WiFi is still down.My system is an Alienware m15x with Windows 7 64-bit. I recently re-installed Windows due to a small bug that was hampering Google Chrome. Before I re-installed Windows, the WiFi was working just fine. Any working WiFi driver?

I have the Wireless 5300 PCI Express Internal Half-Height Mini-Card ordered and now need to find the drivers. My system is a 1735 Studio laptop running 64bit Windows 7. The Dell sales rep said the card came only with the card and a flat head screw.

I partitioned my hard drive and installed Ubuntu 12.04. Now I'm trying to install the wireless drivers found here:
[url]....
Which I got by selecting Ubuntu 10.10 in the dropdown list here:
[url]...
because it was closest to what I have.
I downloaded the tar.gz, extracted it, and double clicked on misc/<some long filename>.deb, which opened up the software center, and I hit install.Installation fails saying the dkms dependency failed, but I have dkms installed.

Bought this card since it did not come standard with this model (Fast Ship version). Installed but could not get it to work (driver issue) after lots of time spent with tech support got it to work by deleting other wireless cards then re-booted and let Win7 re-install the drivers.

New corporate Latitude D600 with Dell installed Cisco mini 350 wireless b card. Getting "Not Associated" status. Dell will not support this card.... %^&$%.
Using a Netgear wireless g router for home office. Attached are a Gateway hard wired and a Toshiba laptop with a Netgear wireless g card. Both are working great. Netgear says router is OK and it supports both b and g. Toshiba laptop identifies every wireless in my neighborhood but the D600 and Cisco cannot detect any signal. I have tried with and without security and every combination setup. Cisco has attempted to correct this problem but are still baffled. When I enable the Cisco card via the network and dial-up setting, it tries to initialize and then posts a message that the "network cable is unplugged"

I haven't installed anything new lately, nothing that would affect the wireless, but my wireless suddenly stopped working. My wireless has been working successfully for the past 2 years no problems till now. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 my computer is running Windows 7 32bit. When I open up the DW WLAN Card Utility it says "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility. I tried reinstalling drivers for the wireless but my computer says "no compatible hardware found".
Also the under the wireless adapters section of Device Manager there isn't an adapter for wireless, but there is an unknown device.
Here's a View at my Device Manager [URL]
I've tried to use computer restart magic but no luck there.
Also, my computer is running on a university network. My roommate's wireless is working fine. Also I've already system restored to a point where I know it was working, no luck...

I have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.

Ive recently bought a Dell XPS 8300 desktop PC without a wireless card.
I have purchased a Dell 1520 wireless mini PCI-E card and installed it but it is not showing in the device manager at all.
The system is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, so i have downloaded the relevant driver for the wireless card from the Dell website but when i try to install the driver i get an error message along the lines of "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system."
It clearly states that this driver is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.
Ive tried refreshing the hardware list in device manager and searching for new hardware and ive cleaned the connector on the wireless card and reinstalled but it still isnt being recognised.

I'm trying to get my wireless turned back on after using an Ethernet connection at work. It's a Latitude E5400. The message I'm getting is that the DW WLAN Card is still disabled and to use the DW WLAN Utility to enable it. There is no icon in my notification area and I cannot seem to locate this "Utility". I'm assuming I'm missing a driver.

I have a Latitude D810. recently unable to get connection on wireless or wired. Lights are on on port plug.I can see the network, when I run troubleshooter on the Proset/Wireless Wifi Connection utility It says the wireless adaptor failed to get IP address and could be due to authentication failure with the network, incorrect wireless security passwords or because of DHCP server malfunction.I did the passwords, checked the router, all is ok there. My new computer works fine on this wireless network as well as my wired desktop. I suspect this happened as a result of a security change that windows XP or whatever security soft ware that's in there did, but cannot figure out how to undo or reset this.

My daughter has the same kind of laptop and has absolutely no problems with connecting...so, it has to be something with mine. It's like it doesn't know that there is a wireless connection available.

I have a Dell Laptop Latitude 610 and I have not been able to connect to the Internet via the ethernet cable port for some four months now. I've tried downloading software from Dell's web site, I bought (and returned) and USB to Ethernet cable, only to find out that it was a model ahead of what this machine needs.I've asked local repair place (Microcenter) what it might be, but they'll only tell me after I pay $70 just to open it up.Another repair guy said that it is probably the motherboard and it wasn't worth fixing. (Yet if it was, wouldn't the entire computer decide not to work at all?) [code]
