View 7 RepliesI have a Dell Latitude D610 laptop with windows xp pro sp3. I need to do the windows reinstallation I know you loose most of the drivers when you use the reinstall cd one of them being the wireless driver. I was wondering the directory where that driver is installed so I can copy it to my usb memory card so that when I reinstall windows I can have my wireless and get online so I can download the rest of the drivers I need.

When in Windows MODE the view network in range does NOT pick up anything even though the connection still exists.
How do I configure to see the networks in range ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently bought a dell xps 17 L702x, and decided to reinstall windows 7 as it came with all the nonsense factory software installed.
The problem is I can't find a wireless network driver, the drivers CD I received with the laptop is useless and the official drivers on the dell website do not work either, I do not know which network card I have, so I downloaded a software which would tell me all the hardware in the laptop but it ends up telling me I do not have a network card, but I definitely do have one because the wireless was working before the reinstallation of windows. So now I'm stuck with a laptop with no wireless, having to use an ethernet cable.
My sister has a DELL Latitude D610. The network drivers in Device Manager has an exclamation mark and this only started when she turned off the laptop with her external hard drive.
Here are the things that I tried. Getting the appropriate drivers System Restore Restarting the Network service Uninstalling and reinstalling the 1350 WLAN Card driver
My internet has stopped working after windows7 installation. Wireless icon is missing after windows7 installation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently formatted my XPS M1530 and installed Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate on it. Everything works flawless, except for the wireless. I have tired installing the Vista drivers available on the Dell website but it did not work. I have tired several other drivers (compatible with my product) also, but they too dint work. Infact, my bluetooth doesnt even work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am passing my computer on to a family member and wanted to give them a fresh install, so I used the Windows Vista (32-bit SP1) disc that came with the laptop and reinstalled Vista on the computer. Everything worked fine until I wanted to connect to the internet, then Windows said that there were no networks available. When I selected "Why can't windows find any networks" it said that "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured". I put in the Dell Driver's and Utilities CD that came with the computer and installed the drivers that seemed related to networks or communications, but the problem persists. I'm assuming it is some sort of driver issue (as the computer was using wireless internet before the reformat (just hours ago) and so the device itself seems to be working.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought a refurb D610 and installed Win XP several times (after I found out that the order of drivers install matters). Last install I followed the order for driver installation.
My ethernet connection (Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller) is working fine, although I'm writing this from a separate PC.
Under Network adapters in the device manager, there is only the above mentioned ethernet device, NO wireless device. That's wrong, or not?
Under Other devices (with yellow question & exclamation mark) are two devices:
1) PCI Simple Communications Controller (Device Inst. ID = VEN_104 / DEV_8038 / SUBSYS_01821028) --- ???
2) Unknown device (Device Inst. ID = ACPI BCM0101 4 15F2F7D1 & 0 ) --- TPM (?)
With Sysinternals Process Explorer I can see the following (wireless related) processes in the Windows/system32 directory: (which are started automatically)
1) WLTRYSVC.EXE
2) BCMWLTRY.EXE (WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller)
3) WLTRAY.EXE (WLAN Card Wireless Network Tray Applet)
However I don't see any wireless related icon in the system tray. When starting the "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility" from the Start Menu, nothing happens.
PS: this is the laptop that I was using for several years for our company (still with Windows 2000) until a couple months ago, and then bought it back (for private use) from another company that refurbs them (HD wipes) for our company. Under W2K the wireless worked perfectly! I didn't get any software with it, but downloaded all drivers from the dell site.
I just got a new Hp 620(windows 7 professional) and still got the Dell D610 (Xp service pack 2)i used before i intend to establish a home wireless ad-hoc connection between these two laptops.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWindows 8 just released not long ago, and I am eager to upgrade my laptop to this version. From what I am understanding that Bluetooth is an issue along with Dell own drivers and configuration caused the upgrade delay. Dell will resolve and make drivers available to Windows 8.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a few of these NICs and Windows Server 2008R2 is not installing any drivers.
I tried downloading some drivers off Intel website and still no joy.
Since this is a Dell OEM product, how to get the correct set of drivers?
I downloaded Windows 8 on the first day of it's public release. I have an Inspiron 1545 laptop. As soon as I installed W8, my wireless card stopped working. Is there any chance that W8 drivers will be released anytime soon? I am very dependent on my laptop and need to get it up and going again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the same machine, same problems. After a reformat, WindowsXP would not reload drivers (from the OEM software provided by DELL). I reinstalled (in order) with a fair amount of difficulty got them all to load EXCEPT for the network adapter. I've download the adapter software AND driver; still no luck. Still working on this bugaboo. Incidentally, what saved me with the other drivers (yellow question marks on Base System Device controller, ethernet, PCI, SM Bus, etc) is that I had run a Belarc Advisor utility printout prior to the reformat. So now I at least had something to compare the before and after reformat with.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had to re-install Windows 7 on my Inspiron laptop, no problem did that easily, put in my CD and done.
But when it had finished, I realised I couldn't connect to the Internet, so I got my old laptop, entered in my service tag, and downloaded the 3 network drivers listed. Stuck them on a USB stick, copied them onto the newly restored laptop, installed them, restarted. And it still wasn't working, to my dismay.
I have a Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 ultrabook.
I only need to connect to the Internet, I can let the online thing do the rest, I just need to connect to the Internet to do so.
I just installed Windows 7 on my M1530, and everything works flawlessly...EXCEPT bluetooth. I downloaded the drivers from the dell website (for vista 32bit), but when I try to install it says "Press Fn+F2 or turn on the wireless switch". The wireless switch is already on, and I press Fn+F2, but to no avail. It worked fine on Vista Home Premium 32bit. I tried running the install file in compatibility mode too, to no avail. how to make it work?
