I was networking via the Broadcom ethernet card this afternoon. This evening it will not connect to the internet. I checked the device manager and it says the device is operating properly. I then tried wireless to the FIOS router and I got limited connectivity.
View 1 RepliesMy bluetooth 365 suddenly stopped working, (Inspiron 1564, windows 7 home premium). I have the latest driver (6.2.0.9603), and now, when i try to install it again it asks me to turn the BT on, although it is on (enabled in BIOS). When I check the device manager under bluetooth radios, it's called "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and it's status is "This device cannot start (code 10)". The bluetooth icon doesn't appear in the task bar nor in control panel anymore.
The bluetooth services @ administrative tools are "started" and "automatic".
I had this problem twice before, fixed it using system restore and by installing "windows mobile device center". These solutions are not working now..
i have a Dell inspiron 1520, the ethernet port has stopped working- no lights when cable connected. this was fine and then just stopped, it is used to connect to hub from time to time when wifi goes down. have tried 3 different cables, no joy, these all work in another laptop. No issues shown in control panel/ hardware. Have downloaded driver from Dell site, still nothing.

I have a new brand dell inspiron 1525 laptop and everytime i boot i get a message "Dell wireless WLAN card wireless network controller stopped working and was closed.
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly.Windows will notify you if a solution is available.I use windows vista premium and dell wireless 1390 802.11g.
I regularly get this message (but not everytime) when I start up Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
"Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.a problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).

Having the same problem with a Dell Inspiron Laptop using a belkin pcmcia wireless card. It was working, but has stopped doing so. I was missing some network adapters which I have reinstalled, and the hard wired connection is now working again, but wireless will not get past the acquiring network address phase. I tried the ipconfig /all and it shows my IP address as 0.0.0.0 and the same on the subnet mask. it says the autoconfig is enabled and dhcp is enabled. My HP laptop is connecting to the wireless network just fine.

Wireless network shows good connectivity and I tried plugging in my ethernet cable between the router and my Dell and it didn't work. My desktop and other devices (Wii, other laptops, itouch) can connect wirelessly without a problem. I have had this laptop for about a year and it has worked perfectly until today. I was using the internet an hour prior to shutting down the system. When I restarted it an hour later the wireless connection was there, but there was an error saying that I could not connect to the internet. I tried restarting the router and the system and nothing worked. Could this be a hardware problem with the network card? I have been using the network card heavily for internet gaming and noticed that the laptop has been getting very hot.

After restart I now have a red 'X' through the Tray Connection Icon and no networking (LAN & Internet).
The Status of the Network Adapter is 'Working Properly'.
System Restore rolls back okay to before updates but as soon as Windows Update runs we have the same problem.
I've re booted into Ubuntu and the Network Adapter works fine.
I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop N7110 my hard drive was corrupted, I have wiped it clean and reinstalled Window 7 I went to dell support and downloaded all the drivers and intalled them in the order dell suggusted. I have no internet. The driver for networking said I did not have device. How do I correct this.

Last year all of a sudden my wireless internet stopped working and had to use a cable to connect to my router. I have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista? my computer stopped being able to connect to the internet a few days ago and a "Dell Wireless WLAN Controller closed and stopped working" (or something along those lines) box would keep on popping up. I did some reading around on the internet and decided that maybe I needed to update the "drivers" for it so I went to the Dell website and downloaded the most recent version for my Dell Wireless 1510 WLAN mini card...that didn't seem to work any after I installed it. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (I assume I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have) and now I'm stuck at the same problem. I can't connect to the internet!In Network Connections, it continually says that "Windows cannot find any networks". In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it doesn't list the card there, although it lists "Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And from some suggestions I found on the net, I tried ipconfig/all in the comand promt and it says "media disconnected".

When this happens I can still get on the internet. But I can't scroll the screen using the touchpad. Dell installed a new touchpad and that worked for about one day. I hooked up with them online twice and one tech updated the touchpad driver and another said it was my avast software that causes the problem, I say no way, because it worked for 6 months before this problem started.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi was poking around steam when i lost connection to the network, when it came back it was limited connectivity. now its 3 days later and i've been trying everything i can think of to make my wireless card work again from recovery to reinstalling drivers. all the troubleshooting can say is it might be the drivers, still might be for all i know but those didn't seem to work like i said. is there a chance im just being blocked by the network? its one big public network thats shared by the whole base.
