Apr 4, 2013I am using a dell Vostro 3550 series, window 7 which I recently upgraded it to 64 bit from 32 bit and after that my Intel WiFi utility stop working. I can create the WiFi hot spot and connect my phones and laptops but its not sharing the internet. I've checked the "share my internet" button too but still then its the same result.

Last year all of a sudden my wireless internet stopped working and had to use a cable to connect to my router. A few months went by and i randomly got my wireless internet connection back for about 2-3 months now all of a sudden my wireless is out again. i ran tests in other threads posted on this subject and the only way they got it to work was to buy a usb connection. is this the only way im going to be able to get wireless back?

Oct 2, 2010My bluetooth 365 suddenly stopped working, (Inspiron 1564, windows 7 home premium). I have the latest driver (6.2.0.9603), and now, when i try to install it again it asks me to turn the BT on, although it is on (enabled in BIOS). When I check the device manager under bluetooth radios, it's called "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and it's status is "This device cannot start (code 10)". The bluetooth icon doesn't appear in the task bar nor in control panel anymore.
The bluetooth services @ administrative tools are "started" and "automatic".
I had this problem twice before, fixed it using system restore and by installing "windows mobile device center". These solutions are not working now..

Jan 9, 2011I have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista? my computer stopped being able to connect to the internet a few days ago and a "Dell Wireless WLAN Controller closed and stopped working" (or something along those lines) box would keep on popping up. I did some reading around on the internet and decided that maybe I needed to update the "drivers" for it so I went to the Dell website and downloaded the most recent version for my Dell Wireless 1510 WLAN mini card...that didn't seem to work any after I installed it. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (I assume I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have) and now I'm stuck at the same problem. I can't connect to the internet!In Network Connections, it continually says that "Windows cannot find any networks". In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it doesn't list the card there, although it lists "Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And from some suggestions I found on the net, I tried ipconfig/all in the comand promt and it says "media disconnected".

When this happens I can still get on the internet. But I can't scroll the screen using the touchpad. Dell installed a new touchpad and that worked for about one day. I hooked up with them online twice and one tech updated the touchpad driver and another said it was my avast software that causes the problem, I say no way, because it worked for 6 months before this problem started.

Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).

The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.

I was missing some network adapters which I have reinstalled, and the hard wired connection is now working again, but wireless will not get past the acquiring network address phase. I tried the ipconfig /all and it shows my IP address as 0.0.0.0 and the same on the subnet mask. it says the autoconfig is enabled and dhcp is enabled. My HP laptop is connecting to the wireless network just fine.

Sep 27, 2012We have a metro Ethernet service, basically our WAN connection, that we use to connect 4 sites. This MOE service has a CIR of 200 Mbps, connected to a port on a 3550-12T running Version 12.1(22)EA5 at 1000 Mbps. We are exceeding our CIR at times during the day for short bursts which is causing the MOE switch to drop packets, which I suspect I am seeing manifest itself in some choppy VoIP conversations and dropped ICMP packets from our network monitoring software. I implemented policy maps to apply an outbound service policy to the interface connected to the MOE service, but I am not seeing any matches to the access lists or the service policy. I’m not sure if I am missing something or perhaps the IOS is not capable?
Below is the config for the service policy and some command output. Notice that there are hits on a statndard access list that is used for other purposes, but the extended access lists used for the class maps have no matches.

Jun 1, 2012My internet stopped working all of the sudden on my 2nd computer my 1st computer works fine (using atm) my 2nd computer stopped working all of the sudden it worked fine for about 2 years but the internet just went off for some reason it shows a computer with a yellow triangle with a black exclamation point on the bottom right corner it says connected but with limited connectivity ive tryed everything i know it is a windows XP i even bought a new internet cable today and the computer still does not work im new to these forums.

Aug 5, 2011Four weeks ago I bought a Dell Vostro 3550 notebook to use it at home. I conntected it via my wireless accesspoint to get access to data on my NAS, which is within my home network.Then I noticed that the connection is not stable, although the computer says "excellent signal". Whenever I access files via explorer on the NAS I loose connection from time to time and the reaction time is very slow (sometimes I have to wait seconds).During search for the reason I pinged directly the access point and saw unacceptable slow response with large variation. I checked the connection with an other computer (running XP), using same position. There it works fine (see below) - stable connection.It seems that the configuration of the access point does not work well with the configuration of the Dell computer - or an hardware fault on the Vostro. Below are the test data and my configuration.

Jun 30, 2011My router has been working for close to 4 years now with minor problems, just stopped yesterday, All my PCs lost wifi access and then when I looked at my Linksys WRT300N only the 4 Ethernet port lights were on. Unplugged plugged it again, I connected one of the PCs to the one of the Ethernet port, the PC is reporting that there is nothing connected to the other side. It's been 4 years already, I do have a Linksys wireless G router even older than this which is till working. I guess its spoiled, I don't mind replacing it

Mar 3, 2013I have a toshiba satellite laptop (windows 7) with wireless on-board and an ethernet cable port. Up until last night, both worked flawlessly since I bought the computer a few years ago.
Now, the wireless still works in three different locations I have tried (i.e. three different networks), but the ethernet cable will not work. I thought it was the ethernet connection on the mobo at first, but then after acquiring a USB-NIC connection, I found I had the exact same problem... I can't connect to my router or even direct to the DSL modem using a ethernet cable. I know my system is good since all my other computers (7) work with wired connections, and my laptop doesn't work on other cables on which other computers do. Essentially, it appears that my computer has lost the ability to get an i.p. address using an ethernet cable of any kind. Both the onboard card and the usb-nic cable tell me they are 'working correctly' in the systems/devices/network adapters section. I have tried disabling one while trying the other. I have tried disabling the wireless while trying either, and still nothing.
