View 1 Repliesfor inspiron 15 3521-8275 bios is flashed to a06, i have tried the latest driver from dell site, version 9.2.0.504, installation is okay, but i can not connect to any access point.
is there any wireless driver for windows7 64 bit that is actually working?
attempted to upgrade their wireless adapter? I know I can go buy a $40 fat USB adapter, but I would like to get dual band abilities without a USB adapter. I hate that I got an upgraded Inspiron 15R that did not have a dual band wireless adapter.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, which I bought 3.5 years back. The laptop used to work fine before. I just shifted home 1.5 month back. Previously I used to have the wireless router always close to my laptop, so I never realized this issue. Now the wireless router (802.11n) for Fibre optics internet is in the ground floor and my studio is on 2nd floor. In my office latop, which is a new one, I get 3 out of 5 signal bars and get 34-56 mbps signal. But my Dell laptop does not get any signal, but when it is closer to the router it works fine.
if I buy an USB network Adapter device which is n series and supports upto 300mbps signal, then will it improve the situation? If yes, then which devices are preferred and how can I know whether that new device is compatible with my laptop settings (as this is a bit old one) or not? If not, then how can I improve the wireless reception? I have tried with booster etc already. I have also updated the network adapter drivers.the wireless card I have is: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN minicard?
i am using Dell Inspiron N5110 for 9 months.Everything is working fine. But there is only one problem in my Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop ,that whenever I start my laptop instead of taking automatic Wifi connection it is taking manually.Every time I have to goto connect option. But Whenever I connect It says that adapter not found ,When I click troubleshooting then it says Turn off your router and again turn on.Every time i have to do this then connection starts. Why this happening in my laptop.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am using a dell inspiron 600m. I have problems with the wireless Internet (well any Internet for that matter). It tell me that there is no supported wireless adapter. The weird thing about it is that if I reinstall windows (windows xp, sp3) and the drivers then it works. But the next day it has the same problem.Tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.Switching off all antivirus and firewall settings
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have re-installed XP then the drivers for my Inspiron B130 from the original discs, in the order recommended. I can access the internet OK, but I keep getting a message in the toolbar that says I need to install a wireless adapter.

The wireless doesnt pick up any networks and it says the wireless adaptor has been switched off.
PS i have checked wndows mobility centre and the wireless adaptor enable button is greyed out.
I scanned many times but it still could not detect any wireless adapter. And then I tried to uninstall all the adapters and install the latest adapter that I had downloaded from [URL] Both of them I have tired to install and they were successfully unzipped , but when I scanned the network adapters in the Device Manager again, there was no change, everything back again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 5 month old Dell Inspiron 1564 with a Dell WLAN 1397 Wireless card. I was having some trouble connecting to my wireless router, and as a last attempt to get it working, I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for my wireless card, using a fresh download of the latest version from Dell's support site.
The driver seems to install fine, and when I look at the wireless card in Device Manager, it's enabled, but in "Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Connections" (which can be accessed through the Network and Sharing Center), it is grayed out and says Disabled.
When I click enable in there, a small window pops us saying "Enabling", then after a few seconds, it says "Enabled" then disappears. However, the adapter stays disabled in N/W & Sharing center, and isn't picked up by Windows.
I've tried reinstalling the driver through Dell's driver installer, as well as through Windows' automated driver search, and neither works. I also tried to do a System Restore, but that is not working (can't complete on any of the restore points).
I also spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Dell support and their final advice was format and reinstall Windows.
More details:
- I am running Win 7 Pro.
- Wired networking and internet connection works fine
- I have Zone Alarm and Avast Anti virus, and I've tried disabling both to no avail
i have dell M5030 inspiron laptop, I`ve got this problem about 4-5 weeks now , my laptop was working normally , when suddenly my WI-FI item in taskbar disappeared.I tried almost everything till then , system restore, updating drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling even formating my laptop, but still no effect.I read that by clicking ROLL BACK , at the drivers properties , this can be fixed , but my problem is that even ROLL BACK cannot be selected. The Adapter also disappeared at Network Connection Properties now i have only Ethernet adapter there.I also took a screen shot , to make it more clear . I have Windows 7 , home premium 64 bit OS
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a yellow question mark on in front of the network controller in the device manager..
how to fix it, i have downloaded all the software on the dell site, and none of them do it..
I recently reinstalled my OS of my E1505 and was installing drivers from the Dell Resource CD (which was for an ME051, is this a problem?). But, after installing all of the drivers and system software my Intel ProSet Wireless program still says there is no supported wireless adapter on the computer...I also cannot create a connection when I connected the laptop to my hardline DSL cable.
In addition, the video card driver will not install saying that one or more files needed to complete the install were missing and it closes the install wizard. Just in case any of you can answer that as well.
I had to Reinstall my windows Vista OS. My WNA was working prior to the OS reinstallation, so I am confused a bit. I have no idea how to reinstall drivers in order that dell gives me. I have downloaded the drivers from the Dell downloads section;however, I don't know what to do next. I tried to go to device manager and find network adapter, but it does not appear, only an "other" section with some ! marks next to them.

To reinstate here. It is a refurbished notebook. I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem. But there is no wireless on/off switch. And pressing FN and F2 at the same time is not enabling my wireless adapter. Is there any way to enable it? Or could I have a faulty wireless adapter?

Some times it shows connected with 100% signal strength and after few seconds drops out. I cannot find any radio switch on this laptop. Fn/F2 does not work and there is no mention of wireless in the bios settings. I feel that the radio is not switched on but how do I do this?? Is my configuration incorrect?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Inspiron M5110 Laptop and was having some trouble staying connected to my internet so this morning I decided I would try and update the drivers. I have uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now, it won't even TRY to connect at all. In the bottom right corner, there's a red x over the wireless bars, and says No Connections are available. Before , it would have a spinning circle while trying to connect, but it doesnt have that at all anymore. My Ethernet connection is working fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled that driver (REALTEK) and its working with no problems.
If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless adapter doesn't even show up anymore. I've tried resetting, disabling, anything I could think of. I tried several versions too of the drivers, but nothing is working. Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation mark next to Network Controller in my Device Settings. My hardware ID for the adapter is PCIVEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_02051028
I think from the above info, I believe the wireless adapter belongs to Atheros.how I can get this thing to even attempt to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water...
Whenever i boot my machine (sometime from hibernate mode), sometimes WiFi adapter refuses to connect to internet. if i reset WiFi adapter then also it refuses to connect to internet. the only solution i found is to restart entire OS.

I went into my control panel>network and internet>network map, and it says, "The adapter is not connected." What do I need to do to get my wireless to work?

Unfortunately, I'd been blaming the broadband at home and didn't realise this before my warranty ran out - on 30/12/12
McAffee has been uninstalled and Avast put on instead, but still it is the same - it works fine when the lead is plugged in from the router - on Speedtest it shows download speed 3.13. On wireless at home it works, just, but speed is reduced to 0.49 even though I'm sitting right next to the router. Bring it to work and it can't see the internet to connect to it
