i bought a n5050 with ubuntu preinstalled so i installed windows7 but i cant find the wlan driver. The card is Atheros AR9485 but i cant find it anywhere in dell's driver list or anywhere else.
Inspiron N5050.Fresh install Win 7 sp1 home premium.I have the Dell drivers disc.when I go through the list of drivers to install, there is one listed for the wireless card for this computer, but it does not have the 'tick' which says the device has been detected.i try to install that driver anyway and I am asked to "Activate Bluetooth Using Wireless Switch". I went here [URL] and then did a search for DW1702, which is the card listed on my customer invoice. From that search I am taken here [URL] which lists 3 kinds of drivers: A01, A02 and A03. I have tried all three. A01 and A03 give up quite quickly. With the A02 the InstallShield Wizard starts up and most of the installation seems to take place and then it gives up. Windows tells me the driver was not installed properly.Whenever there is a problem over drivers, Dell tells us to install the Notebook System Software. There is no NSS on my drivers disc. (It does not come up on the list of drivers to install when the disc is first inserted and is not listed under 'System Utilities'.) Since I can't connect to the internet without at least an ethernet driver installed, how am I supposed to install the NSS first? In any case when I enter my service tag on here or do a search for the N5050, I am given 11 filtered results and 33 'all related drivers' but no NSS.I was charged extra for the drivers disc and it doesn't have what I want. The laptop without a wireless card is useless to me.
i have inspiron n5050 laptop with windows8 installed and i updated all drivers from the support and for bluetooth i installed DELL WLAN AND BLUETOOTH CLIENT ver9 after calling to customer support. but i cant find bluetooth suite in my computer and have no bluetooth option in wireless in my pc settings.
Recently I have installed windows 8 professional x64 version in my dell laptop. Everything is fine here except the Bluetooth driver. It is showing 'The program has compatibility issue'. So bluetooth driver software is not installing. I am using dell inspiron 1564.
When I try to install the first one I got the failure message "BASS_REL_5_6 456".I am able to install the second one, but I still got the message, that the WIFI-/LAN-Hardware is uninstalled. Therefore I still can't access to the internet with this computer.
My Bluetooth was working even when i upgraded to Windows 7. After a while it stopped. I tried installing back with the Installation CD but whenever the software asks me to "Activate Bluetooth with the wireless button" on my computer, it never continues. i dont know where the problem could be from again. i've tried all i know.
I have a new Dell Inspiron 14R N4110 laptop. The problem is that WiFi and Bluetooth driver is not installing in my laptop. I downloaded all software from Dell.Com but no one is working.
Whenever i am installing i get a "ERROR": This installation can not proceed. Please check service pack of your OS.I installed OS 4 time but get the same problem.
I have a Inspiron n5110 laptop and recently re-installed Windows 7.After using the "Driver & Utilities" disc to update the drivers. I haven't been able to connect to the internet
I was able to retrieve my system information and got the following;
Network Card(s): 3 NIC(s) Installed. [01]: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Connection Name: Bluetooth Network Connection Status: Media disconnected [02]: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Connection Name: Local Area Connection Status: Media disconnected
I have a Inspiron M5110 Laptop and was having some trouble staying connected to my internet so this morning I decided I would try and update the drivers. I have uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now, it won't even TRY to connect at all. In the bottom right corner, there's a red x over the wireless bars, and says No Connections are available. Before , it would have a spinning circle while trying to connect, but it doesnt have that at all anymore. My Ethernet connection is working fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled that driver (REALTEK) and its working with no problems.
If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless adapter doesn't even show up anymore. I've tried resetting, disabling, anything I could think of. I tried several versions too of the drivers, but nothing is working. Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation mark next to Network Controller in my Device Settings. My hardware ID for the adapter is PCIVEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_02051028
I think from the above info, I believe the wireless adapter belongs to Atheros.how I can get this thing to even attempt to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water...
I have a problem with my Inspiron N5010, I just reinstalled Win7 Ultimate x64 and I can't get the drivers to work. I have downloaded R252544 and many more drivers, but an error keeps coming up, saying that it is not compatible with my system or cannot be installed. I am currently using Ethernet cable but I need to use WiFi.
I reinstalled windows on my laptop and i was reinstalling all the drivers and i cant seem to find the one that gets the built in wireless adapter working. ive got the intel pro set wireless program but when i try and install this it says that the wlan adapter is not installed. where can i find the driver for internal wlan adpater for dell inspiron 6000.
I installed a clean Windows 8 Pro on my Vostro 3460 (HD was wiped beforhand). However, for the WLAN driver is not found. Here is what I did:
- I can confirm that the WLAN component is activated in BIOS. Actually, it worked just fine running Windows 7 until yesterday.
- After a clean Win8 install the missing component is enlisted as "Network Controller"
- Installing the "Dell Dell Wireless 1901 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Dell Wireless 1901 Bluetooth" driver from your website (Network_Atheros_W8_A00_Setup-92GWH_ZPE.exe) didn't change anything,, the device is still missing its driver and thus not working.
- I tried to install the drivers coming with the driver CD for Windows 7. No change.
- I tried to install almost any driver on your web site related with WLAN, Vostro 3460 and Windows 8: no success.
I have last version of Linux installed. Then I realized that I have no INTERNET connection.looking for a long time I found out the Linux does not recognize the wireless. is that not possible because this does not give for Linux!
I had to install Windows Vista on Latitude E6410, than I followed order installation from here ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/latitude-e6230_Reference%20Guide_en-us.pdf. And I am still not able to install Dell Wireless WLAN 1397/1501/1520 Half MiniCard Driver - in the download section it is only update package? My notebook does not offer me WLAN connection only cable...
I've recently added a Dell Inspiron 620 to my home network. Since it was close enough to hardware to my U-Verse router, I moved my Dell Wireless WLAN 1502 Half Mini-Card to my older XPS400. What I cannot find out is whether or not there is an XP driver for this card.
find a Driver for the NIC for windows 8 64 bit Pro. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 and the driver from Microsoft worked for the most part but I was having issues connecting to my Windows phone 8 device (Nokia 920). First I though it was my phone but when I tried other devices like my Surface I could connect with no problem. I am also running Windows 7 32 bit, when I boot up that OS I had no issues connecting to my phone. I also had issues with stable connections to my 5Ghz Wi-Fi access point. Well if any of these symptoms sound like something that you been going through then check this driver out. I used the 43224AGN 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 driver and now everything seems to work.
I have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.
Since a friend of mine logged in at our wlan(with his phone) i cannot connect my laptop with it anymore. Cable-internet is working as usually. I have already deleted all "users" of our wlan at the Fritzbox-site. I also reinstalled some new drivers but they all didnt work. if i search for problems it says "problems with wlanadapter or router". I have also resetted router and adapter. The name of the Adapter is Aeros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller(NDIS 6.20). When im at my friends place wlan works perfectly.
Up until a couple of days ago, I could connect to a wireless network no problem. Now, it's as if wireless doesn't exist on my netbook.
Computer: Acer Aspire One Model: ZG5 / AOA150 OS: XP, Service Pack 3 WLAN/Driver: Atheros AR5007EG/v7.6.0.224
I've done the Recovery Console and performed the Windows Registry repairs. I've even reformatted the computer, but to no avail at all. And I've done all the basic troubleshooting and surfed forums for way too long and found no solutions.
So this is kind of a last ditch effort. It still connects to the internet via an ethernet cord, so all is not completely lost, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a netbook without having wireless connectivity.
How do I update drivers for atheros wifi adapter on hp PC that can not connect to internet due to need of updates?...possibly burn to CD on second computer and load on PC needing it?...however, I cant find a free atheros driver update site.
why my atheros ar5b97 wireless connction is automatically connected to the internet even not open or on the launch manager.. and why the indicator lihts is still in orange color even i on the launch manager it seems its turn to blue lights.. many times i tried to unistall and install the driver but the problem is still in?
even i have bought a new dell Inspiron n5050 and am not able install the bluetooth driver the msg reads "Activate bluetooth using wireless switch".Even mobility centre dosent hv the option......how to customize using Dell INC.
i have a dell inspiron n5050. i bought it 2 months ago. when i bought it i could connect to any wireless i wanted. 2 or 3 weeks later i restored the system to previus date because i had installed a couple of games which when i unistalled, i noticed that my computer was toooo slow.. after that when i try to connect to ONE specific network my laptop crashes the router and whoever is connected to it gets off. i don't have this problem with any other wireless. i have contacted the internet service and we fegured out it isn't a router problem.. by the way (and i don;t know if this is of any significance) this ONE specific network is the first network i entered when i restored my system. i run win7. for any more details ask.
AT&T recently came out and replaced our Uverse modem, upon which iPad could connect to the new network, but neither of our laptops. I'm only a little technical with hardware/system issues, so after none of the more obvious troubleshooting issues worked, I started searching for more information and came across this site....great!! Eventually resolved the issue, suspect the wired connection through modem/router did the trick, but also updated the network adapter drivers. This (husband's) laptop was doing fine for a few hours, but then suddenly lost connection -- appeared that the network adapter was disabled. But when I went to enable it, it was gone!! It no longer appears in the Device Manager list at all. (It is/was an Atheros AR5700)

About a week and a half ago my n5050 began disconnecting from the internet and reconnecting about 20 seconds later. This happens pretty frequently, about once a minute or so. It makes doing anything over wifi almost impossible. Plugging in an ethernet cable (directly from modem or from wireless router) keeps the internet connected. My wife's laptop, coincidentally also a Dell, doesn't have this problem. Neither do mine or my wife's iPhones or my kids' Nintendo DSs. I'm totally lost. I've tried uninstalling the adapter, updating it, updating the firmware on the router, changing the power options on the wireless adapter, changing wireless channels, uninstalled and completely removed AVG 2013, tried a clean boot, and more. I'm getting real close to scrapping this computer and going with another brand...
Here is my system info:

I've bought a new Dell N5050, first it was on Ubuntu, then I formatted my disk and now working on Windows 7. Due to that, I've lost many drivers specially for wireless and network. I've downloaded many from here, but I'm still unable to find these 2. In other words, I can't connect to the wireless connection unless I use the Ethernet cable.
here is an image, it's french.
by the way, I've downloaded a lot of drivers, I wonder why I still got these two missing. ( did I download wrong ones?)
