i have a Dell n 4030...a few days ago i changed its windows...i use windows 7 64bit...all of drivers has installed but wireless network doesn't work while it's driver has installed and it show work properly.

I am unable to connect to the wired network. We have a 4 port prolink router and there is no error with it. I know because I am using the same cable for my laptop, which I am using for my desktop. I just unplug it from the desktop and plug it to laptop. I am unable to provide any specs from the desktop because there is an error in that computer.
However, I can give ipconfig/all data from my father's computer, which use another port of the same router.
My laptop is working perfectly with the Mobile BroadBand. And this is a dual boot computer with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and the cable is fine with Ubuntu.

I have recently reinstalled windows vista on my dell inspiron 1525 laptop and now when I try to connect to the Internet It gives me the following message. "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured" and it gives me the option to "Install wireless networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded" . Where can I get this wireless networking hardware?, is it on a disk that came with the laptop or do I have to download it using another computer and manually install it on my laptop. I have already don't some research online and have download some drivers but can't seem to install them on my laptop.

I turned it on today and it automatically connected to my home network as usual and when I hover over the network icon it says there is Internet Access but when I open Firefox it can not connect to any websites. When I run the automatic troubleshooter, it does not detect any problems with the connectivity.

If I install one matched pair, the wireless network is found and will connect to the network. If I install all four, the network is not found and the wireless will not connect. The network card is Netgear G PCI adapter 54MBTS 2.4GHz.
So I dug my old Latitude D630 out from the attic, turned it on, and it still works, and it actually connected to my router! However, only the wireless connects, not the wired connection. When I plug an ethernet cable in, the computer does not recognize the cable, and tells me a cable is unplugged...which of course it isn't.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Vostro 3460 laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit. My wireless driver is Dell Wireless 1704.802.11b/g/n. I just got this computer in December, and it worked fine for a couple of months, then about a month ago, I started having these problems.
Whenever I turn off or put my computer to sleep and turn it back on, my wireless connection doesn't work. The wireless indicator light on the front of the laptop is not on, and I push the FN+F2 button (which is supposed to turn on wireless), but it does nothing. I checked under the device manager, and the wireless adapter is not there.
After the first time I ran the diagnostics, I reinstalled the driver. The I restarted the computer, and the wireless was working. However, that night I turned of the computer, and when I turned it back on the next morning, the wireless was not working again.Other things I have discovered that sometimes work as a temporary fix:
Sometimes, if I wait 5 or so minutes, the wireless indicator light will come on, and then I can restart my computer and connect to a network, but most of the time, I can wait for hours and it never comes on.If I start in computer into safe mode or the BIOS screen or diagnostic screen, sometimes the wireless will start working after I exit that mode and start into normal operating. For example, one of the times that I ran the PSA diagnostics, the wireless started working afterwards, but stopped working again the next day. Another time, I started the computer in safe mode with networking to see if that would work, and the wireless did not work while I was in safe mode, but then I restarted the computer in normal mode, and the wireless came on.
One time, I went under Device Manager and did "Scan for Hardware Changes." After that, the wireless indicator light came on, and I restarted the computer and was able to connect to a network.However, all of these solutions were temporary, and some of these solutions only work one time but not again.I called Dell Support a couple of weeks ago, and they said that my antivirus program might be stopping the wireless driver from starting up. I have Trend Micro, which came with the computer.

I know the Intel R 5150 is not working right with Windows 8 just like everyone else I've seen post on various sites when they upgraded. My concern is.. when is there gonna be an updated driver!? You would think if Windows was gonna make it available to upgrade your OS to 8 that they would have all this straitened out. Now I have to get rid of 8 just so I can have WiFi!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 which crashed, service tag . I was able to start it again using the Dell Operating System Reinstallation CD for XP Professional with SP1, that came with another computer. I then installed a Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8. However the wifi (wireless) does not work. I went to setup and assured that it is enabled. I assume that I have lost the driver for it. Before the crash it had a working wireless connection. I need to know what driver to install to make it operate. Setup indicates that my computer has a MiniPCI card 1370 Broadcom Corp.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have successfully set up a guest network on my EA4500. Guest laptop associates with guest SSID just fine. Then via IE, it gets prompted for the guest password, which is entered and accepted just fine. At this point guest laptop is on the network.
BUT... at some point the guest laptop will need to reauthenticate (I don't know what the timeout is, but maybe one or two days?). Anyway, it's at this point that IE presents the guest network login page. But now after typing in the password, "enter" or clicking on the button does nothing. It looks like the guest web page doesn't get loaded properly or completely, so the reauthentication can't complete, therefore can't get to the internet. So, while in this state, I've also tried Firefox and Chrome, and same thing, no action when trying to submit the guest password. Tried rebooting guest laptop, and still same problem. Only thing I've found so far that works is to reboot the router. So I'm guessing there's a problem with the guest/web server on the router?? It's a real pain to have to reboot the router every day or two, when I've had other Linksys routers run for months without having to touch them.
I was running CCC 2.1.38 when I first noticed the problem. Since then I've downgraded to Classic 2.0.37, but it seems I still have the same problem. Again, I can connect & authenticate just fine initially, but when reprompted after some period of time, it doesn't work.
I've tried contacting Cisco support, but it looks like I'm at 91 days since purchase and thus outside of my 90-day complimentary support, so they happily provided me with the premium support options just to have the honor of talking with them. Guess I shouldn't have spent so much time trying to figure this out myself.
We have three brand new E4200 routers, all using the most current firmware (1.0.02). They are all in bridged mode, however when I attempt to enable the guest network on each of them, the config shows it as active, but it never shows up as visiible SSID. In previous posts, I've seen people saying that I need to do a complete hard reset of the router and re-enter all the configs again to get the guest network active. Is this true? I'd hate to think that I have to hard reset and reconfigure all three of these APs, just to get the guest network enabled.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the WUSB600N wireless adapter, and I'm using it with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I'm using the latest driver available, 3.0.10.0. When Windows first starts, the adapter is not working properly and fails to connect to any networks, no matter how long I wait. If I unplug it and plug it back in after Windows is already running, I do not have this issue. This also does not occur when "restarting" the machine; only when turning the machine off and then back on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll wires terminate in the basement as a RJ-45 plug, to be plugged into a switch housed in an old circuit breaker box. The first wire went off without a hitch, the jack works, the plug works, all is right with the world. The router for the home is currently plugged into that outlet so as to give the entire network as we build it internet. The second outlet is giving us problems though. I've fished the wire up the wall as before, and the length of wire is shorter than the first run. When I terminate the end upstairs as a jack, then plug in my laptop, it refuses to connect. It says the network cable is unplugged. If I terminate the cable as a plug, then plug it directly into the laptop, suddenly everything works. I have tried so far 3 different jacks, tested continuity on the jacks, and tested continuity on the wire to the jack pins to make sure the terminal block was working and everything came back green

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason today my desktop stopped being able to share media with other computers and devices.I mainly use PS3 Media Server to stream and download content to multiple devices including my PS3, Xbox 360, iPad, and iPhone. Now none of those devices can see the server. I tried restarting it, restarting my computer, and updating to the latest version.I've also tried turning on other media servers like TVersity and Windows Media Player and none of my devices can detect any of those either, so there must be something wrong with my desktop's networking (but it can still get internet). I haven't made any changes to my home network since yesterday (the last time I used my media server).My desktop runs on a wireless network with a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter, my router is a Netgear WGT624v4, and my cable modem is a Toshiba. My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I doubled checked that the Windows wireless utility is disabled. Still no available networks. Everything was fine before the reinstall of Windows XP Home.

And then everything changed back to its original like my SSID from Netcom it changed back to wireless and everything was default and also the PPP was off so i wasn't able to connect to the internet. So i went to my router setup page on the internet or whatever and turned it back on. I was using the wired connection since then until I, at last, was able to use it's wireless connection but it only lasted around a week. After that, the modem light on the router kept on blinking and the internet light wouldn't turn on. I also couldn't connect to the router anymore(wired and wireless), neither could I configure it. I reset it but it still didn't work.

The ethernet cabled one does, but not the wireless. Trying to connect to anything wireless just gives an endless searching process, with no results. I can't test the ethernet either, my router is all the way into the living room, way far out of reach.
