I upgraded my computer with a new graphics card and power supply. When I turned it on everything ran fine except for the internet. I either get a connection with 1 bar, a connection but no internet acess, or no internet at all. Did I damage something on the motherboard that could cause this?

All 3500/3600 APs, had been in production for months.
I have a 871W router that works fine.I have 5 static ip addres's and use 2 in a nat pool. One i have mapped staticlly here is the configuration and it works fine:

Prior to upgrade AIR AP1142-N (Version 12.4(25d)JA1) everything worked fine! After upgrade IOS (to new Version 15.2(2)JA) without any config modification, management interface (encapsulation dot1q 33) or any IP interface with encapsulation dot1q became unreachable... If set IP on SVI (or BVI) with native VLAN (encapsulation dot1q 4094 native), this IP is reachable. Probably, there are bug in new IOS and Dot1q encapsulation? (see 'tech-support' in attached files)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased a used Compaq laptop with a Realtek USB wireless adapter. The laptop came with XP Pro. I connected the adapter and everything worked great. My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I doubled checked that the Windows wireless utility is disabled. Still no available networks. Everything was fine before the reinstall of Windows XP Home.

And then everything changed back to its original like my SSID from Netcom it changed back to wireless and everything was default and also the PPP was off so i wasn't able to connect to the internet. So i went to my router setup page on the internet or whatever and turned it back on. So now like the internet on my computer which has a cable to the router works but the wireless internet doesn't work for my laptop nor ipod. I can see the connection on the laptop and ipod but when i try to connect it keeps saying that it is unable to connect.

I was using the wired connection since then until I, at last, was able to use it's wireless connection but it only lasted around a week. After that, the modem light on the router kept on blinking and the internet light wouldn't turn on. I also couldn't connect to the router anymore(wired and wireless), neither could I configure it. The ethernet cabled one does, but not the wireless. Trying to connect to anything wireless just gives an endless searching process, with no results. I can't test the ethernet either, my router is all the way into the living room, way far out of reach.

The DIR-825 wireless simply doesn't work. When I called tech support, we cleared some settings and hard-powered the unit on/off and it finally turned on the wireless radio. A couple weeks later I pull out my laptop to use in the house via wireless and the wireless on the DIR-825 is OFFLINE AGAIN...fallen and it can't get UP.Is anyone having issues with keeping their wireless online? OK - powered it off for 5 minutes...now the wireless is working. I think changing configuration settings causes the thing to lock up.

Unfortunately he lost all the local management users and it's MAC filters, but restoring this was not the problem. After upgrading the second controller.... the device does not boot anymore! The alarm led is RED and I don't know what to do. The only way to get connected to the controller is via the console port. There I can see a "parse error" but I don't know if that is the problem. Please look at the "log" attached. I'm not sure if the red alarm led was there before upgrading the controller software because the device is located to another place. I'm really concerned about upgrading the third controller because it's the most important wlc.
