I have a 871W router that works fine.I have 5 static ip addres's and use 2 in a nat pool. One i have mapped staticlly here is the configuration and it works fine:

I upgraded my computer with a new graphics card and power supply. When I turned it on everything ran fine except for the internet. I either get a connection with 1 bar, a connection but no internet acess, or no internet at all. Did I damage something on the motherboard that could cause this?

After upgrade IOS (to new Version 15.2(2)JA) without any config modification, management interface (encapsulation dot1q 33) or any IP interface with encapsulation dot1q became unreachable... If set IP on SVI (or BVI) with native VLAN (encapsulation dot1q 4094 native), this IP is reachable. Probably, there are bug in new IOS and Dot1q encapsulation? (see 'tech-support' in attached files)

I have PC_A and PC_B connected to the same switch, and are put in the same vlan. PC_A is the master (source) and PC_B is the destination (client). IGMP Snooping is enabled by default.
Is there any reason why this should fail? There is no RP or any interface with PIM enabled. Its a flat network with a source and client in the same vlan...

Console and telnet don't seem to auto authorize to level 15, I end up at level 1, I'm forced to use enable command.
Rolling back to c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-58.SE2 fixes it. Going back to c3750e-universalk9-tar.150-1.SE breaks it again.
is there some new behavior in cat 15 code (couldn't find it in config guide)? maybe a bug (couldn't find one)?

A month ago my ISP was routing half my subnet (129-254) over DSL. I just moved and routing no longer works without NAT. The issue is probably with the new DSL 'modem,' a zhone 1611-A1, but I am not sure how it should be configured.The 1611 is connected to a WRT610N, which works in NAT mode with the following settings:[code] With the previous settings, networking doesn't work from a workstation, though I can traceroute from the 610. I would like all workstations on the "LAN" to have fully addressable internet addresses like the previous configuration.There is an admin interface on the 1611, but the cursory settings I've tried don't work and I'm not a routing expert. The ISP is kindly routing my network, but they don't provide much support.

It starts to decompress and install the IOS 2 Times, after the Second try it displays "unable to boot" and the switch goes in Bootloader-mode. When i look at the version i See that bootloader is still the old version 12.2.58. It seems that the bootloader doesn't geht upgraded and that's why the Switch can't Boot the new Image.

This wiring doesnt work, however in another city it works going straight from the Cisco 2811 octal cable to the router since they are in the same rack.

The default VRF is working. I see log entries in the logfile, but nothing arrives at the syslog server. It's not a config issue on the server, because tcpdump shows that no packets arrive from the IP for loopback 0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a 3560-X that passes POST according to console, but there are issues nonetheless...USB console doesn't work. RJ45 works just fine. No status lights turn on at any point (e.g. syst, xps...). 10g network module is installed with a 10g LRM SFP. All lights on the module are amber. However, it passes according to POST. Switch passes traffic, obeys config, etc. Link lights on RJ45 ports work fine. This was brand new out of the box. Thinking about trying IOS reload..

I know these are no longer supported, but I have to ready them for migration. Recently a problem began with these switches. What happens is that when I telnet to them, I cannot authenitcate via TACACS. This works fine for all our other IOS equipment, just not for these 2 switches. The error is:" % Error in authentication" and then I get kicked back to the login prompt.
The odd thing is that when I connect to the switch via the console port, I can authenticate fine with TACACS.

ok the connection is a dial up it doesn't give any static ip address when i connect it now it will give me different ip , when i disconnect it again it will give me another ip. an the message appear at the server and the affect the client.....the client are using satic ip address.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason I'm getting the error "WAN IP should not be a network address" when I type in an IP address under the Static IP Settings section in the "IP Address" field. My client has a static IP from his ISP and I'm trying to set it up on the router. I've updated to the latest firmware 1.0.4.17 but still the same error.
I'm not copying and pasting the address, I'm typing it in. There is no extra spaces or anything. What is this glitch? I could save the router settings and reset it and try that but I'm doing this all remotely and would rather not have to make another trip to do this onsite.

When i use DHCP, i am able to connect to the web.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNormally, when one right clicks on a drive letter having opened 'My computer', then select 'Sharing' there is a warning about sharing a whole disk and the option to accept anyway.One laptop doesn't offer that. It just shows the admin share of C$ immediately. If I choose 'New' at the bottom of the panel a new drive letter and drive name can be entered but it can never be accessed over the network! It shows up in the workgroup but I get a network error 'Network path not found' if I try to access it. I can ping the laptop from anywhere by name and IP address.The laptop can access all the other PCs without any problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to configure Cisco CISCO881G-K9 3G router to connect to mobile network without success. The cellular interface gets up but it doesn't receive IP address. It seems that profile isn't activated and it should've been.
I've attached running config and some other information gathered from router.
Cisco ASA 5505 ver 8.4. Most things work but now I want to setup a vpn connection..I have done this 2 ways, first by using the "VPN Wizard" in ASDM and then 5 hours later removing everything and configuring from cli. And it just doesn't work, client (WinXP & Win7) gets "error 792" and sometimes "error 789" (both indicating problem with phase 1, I'm pretty sure of that) Googling on those gives a few suggestions none works. All I get in the log on Cisco is the "Error processing payload: Payload ID: 1" Google on that only comes up with a few pages telling me this message is caused by an error. (Yeah, I could never have guessed...) For the cli config, I followed this tutorial carefully (3 times actually...) url...I'm using PSK for IPSec, entered same on Cisco and client - checked several times, this is not a password/PSK issue. Ports opened on Cisco: 500, 1701, 4500 (For a try I opened all ports, no change.) And here's the "show run". [code]

I double checked my connection using my laptop and it works with wireless and wired connections, so I know it's something with my desktop. My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I doubled checked that the Windows wireless utility is disabled. Still no available networks. Everything was fine before the reinstall of Windows XP Home.
