We have recently switched routers and now my laptop doesn't work wirelessly; it connects to the router but there isn't an internet connection. The laptop works fine when the LAN cable is plugged in though. Our other laptop can connect to the internet with or without the LAN cable. Both are Toshibas running on Windows Vista.I have tried various approaches such as downloading the latest Atheros AR5007EG drivers but it said that they're already the most up to date. [code]

I got the HP Officejet 6600 and successfully connected it to the network at home. I managed to connect the home desktop (Windows 7), a laptop (Windows 7) and a Macbook Pro. These are all the personal ones.However, when I tried to install the the HP Officejet 6600 on the work laptop, the installation wasn't able to find the printer on the home network when doing it wirelessly. I managed to install it the USB cable but that was about it.Also, when trying to install it wirelessly, it found our home network, couldn't find the printer so it prompted me to type in the IP address for the printer, which I did, however, it still wasn't able to find it. The work laptop is connected to the home wireless in the network connections and the American Express server.Is there a way to get around this issue so I can connect the laptop to the printer wirelessly as it would make life a LOT easier.

I just switched houses, and when I connected my computer, modem and router I found out that I have internet on my PC which is wired, but when I try to get connected with my Laptop using the wireless funtion, it doesn't work. The laptop finds the router and gets "connected" but when I try to open a web page, it says there's an issue with my internet connection, and also something about not finding the DNS...whatever that means...as you can see..

Whenever some other laptop in my room is using internet with its wifi my wifi stops working. I checked my ping when no laptop was using wifi that its runnig quite smoothly. But as soon as my room mates laptop gets connected to the same network my ping gives me output that "Request timed out".

I have the firmware 2.10NA. In my home we have about 4 laptops and 4 smartphones connecting to this router wirelessly and 3 of the laptops often lose connection for hours. We have tried unplugging the router and plugging it in again and factory reset and also resetting it through the IP address but the connection doesnt come back. Recently it has gone out for about 3 hours now. Also the wireless LED icon on the router constantly blinks is this normal? On the laptops where theres no connection it says limited connectivity. Is it possible that there is too many devices connected to the router or something. or could this be a problem with the laptops and not the router?
dlink adsl-2460t which is really torturing. I ahve connnected my cable net modem to my router but unfortunately its of no use cos i cant connect my laptop to it. Although it shows the availablity of the connection but it doesn't get through to net..it keeps on giving a caution sign on the bottom right corner, above the signal strength...
My Acer had been working fine wirelessly for years and years. This is a long story so get ready. My acer runs windows xp. Its a netbook as well. That much said I was surfing the web and at a point I noticed connection was gone. I looked at the icon in the below tray and it had a yellow caution and it also indicated little or no connectivity. I tried uninstalling driver then having system recognize it. None of the tricks I know resulted in it working. The two things I noted were Low or no connectivity or it gets hung on validating identity. Sometimes I see something about unable to access or read a certificate. Ok I tried my other net book and it connects to the home wireless no problem. The acer will connect to my paid wireless (credit card size type) if connected via usb cable. So i thought ok the internal net-books wireless adapter is broke so i go buy a wireless usb adapter. Now I show two wireless icons. neither one actually connects. Basically same results as if I never had the usb modem. Now I have done several system recovery operations with same results. one of them was with the on hd hidden partition and also from CD?
I do not have a modem in my flat from ISP, only a cable, since the internet is set for every apartment in the building. I have a username and password that I use to connect. There is no problem connecting with the cable. I set up by Belkin wireless router and I'm actually connected to internet wirelessly but it only works if I also enable the primary ISP connection on my computer - so my laptop is connected to internet without a cable. But this weird connection does not allow me to connect my phone to wireless or any other computer. Also the router settings site says not connected to internet and the internet light on Belkin is off
I am having problems with my linksys wireless G ADSL gateway WAG54GS router. I am on Windows Vista/Internet Explorer. When I set up the router to work on the internet when I first bought it (several years ago), something must have gone wrong in the installation because it works only when connected to the computer by the lead, and NOT wirelessly.
While this is fine for general internet browsing etc on the main computer, my problem now is that I cannot connect anything else to it (such as my Playstation 3) because the router does not work wirelessly and I do not have the WPA key that the PS3 asks for. Is there any way can fix this without doing a complete reset on the router?

I have this WRT350N with me for a long time. It always worked well, and for a while I didn't used it (like 1 year). Last morning, I set it up and put it to work again and it worked perfectly, but in the evening the wireless stop working. Through cable, the internet works finely.
The light does not turn on or blink anymore. The router setup says that SSID broadcast is enabled. But I can't find the network, even if I type its name and password (supposing it was in invisible mode or something like that).
So I restored the router to its normal configuration, and once again the wireless does not work. Is there something else I can do to make the wireless work again?

I have a CanonPIXMA iP4000 printer connected to my 64bit VISTA PC via a USB cable. My XP laptop is connected via a Router to the PC. I cannot share my printer between the two. My Laptop says that the drivers are,nt loaded, even though they are installed. I used to be able to share the printer before, until I had a virus on the laptop, and I had the operarating system deleted and then installed.

I received a new hard drive along with recovery discs from dell yesterday. They told me the new drive would be blank and I would have to run the discs. Not a problem. Installed the OS along with the drivers that had check marks next to them.
Today I plug in my home internet and it won't work. Unplug it and turn the wireless back on and it gets online just fine.
I'm having a big problem with my connectivity. I can connect to the internet (a BT Home Hub router) using my ethernet cable but not using wireless. My computer is searching and finding wireless networks, but when I try to connect to my router, it says limited access/connectivity.
I haven't used my computer in quite a long time (7 months) as it stopped working and is miraculously working again now (huzzah!) but the wireless does not, when it was perfect previously.

I just got a TL- WR740N router and somehow managed to configure it using my girlfriends Acer Aspire One Happy netbook.The internet works fine when the netbook is connected to the router via cable but it can't connect wirelessly to the network I have created. At first some massege appeared saying that there are 2 identical IP's and there is a conflict or something like that. Now it just stops trying to connect to the network. I can connect with my own laptop tho.
I was trying to configure a friend's router, but their laptop wouldn't connect wirelessly. Initially, I couldn't connect via ethernet cable either, but I went into the settings and set it to obtain an IP address automatically. After that, I could connect via ethernet no problem.I was able to successfully connect wirelessly on two different mobile phones.I still can't connect wirelessly to this router (well, technically it says it's connected to the network, but it won't connect to the internet, nor can I bring up the hub settings). However, I can connect to their old router no problem. I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the laptop or the router, and don't presently have another laptop to check
My desktop (that I am currently on) connects fine to the router but I can't get my laptop to wirelessly connect to the router.. it finds it and sometimes it says that it is connected but the connection is broken and can't be repaired. Okay so I have been troubleshooting my husband's toshiba laptop. Its only a couple years old, has windows vista, and works fine other than it wont' connect to the internet wirelessly. I looked at the adapter card and it says there are no issues and it will connect via ethernet, I just need it to connect wirelessly for school. I have a dell laptop and i want to print wirelessly to my HP Photosmart C4795 printer.i have my wireless set up through a verizon westell modem router. my wireless is setup i can get on the internet on my laptop and use my ipod in the house through it. when i'm using my laptop i would like to print wirelessly without have to go in the other room and use the desktop which is connected to the printer.
My laptop is not showing the option to connect wirelessly . i was using the internet wirelessly two days ago but now the only option that shows up is connect via broadband ethernet cable. if i go to the control panel and open network and sharing center and i pick connect to the internet the only option i get is broadband. and if i click show a list of options i dont have it only shows dial up connections
