I've found my old (1, or 2 years old) Realtek RTL8187B USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter. I plugged in into my PC, but it doesn't find any networks, but it works 100% on my laptop. On PC windows said, that maybe something wrong with the driver, I reinstalled it a few times, but same happened again, again. Both has Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I purchased a used Compaq laptop with a Realtek USB wireless adapter. The laptop came with XP Pro. I connected the adapter and everything worked great. My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I doubled checked that the Windows wireless utility is disabled. Still no available networks. Everything was fine before the reinstall of Windows XP Home.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason today my desktop stopped being able to share media with other computers and devices.I mainly use PS3 Media Server to stream and download content to multiple devices including my PS3, Xbox 360, iPad, and iPhone. Now none of those devices can see the server. I tried restarting it, restarting my computer, and updating to the latest version.I've also tried turning on other media servers like TVersity and Windows Media Player and none of my devices can detect any of those either, so there must be something wrong with my desktop's networking (but it can still get internet). I haven't made any changes to my home network since yesterday (the last time I used my media server).My desktop runs on a wireless network with a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter, my router is a Netgear WGT624v4, and my cable modem is a Toshiba. I'm using Windows Vista 32bit.

And then everything changed back to its original like my SSID from Netcom it changed back to wireless and everything was default and also the PPP was off so i wasn't able to connect to the internet. So i went to my router setup page on the internet or whatever and turned it back on. So now like the internet on my computer which has a cable to the router works but the wireless internet doesn't work for my laptop nor ipod. I was using the wired connection since then until I, at last, was able to use it's wireless connection but it only lasted around a week. The ethernet cabled one does, but not the wireless. Trying to connect to anything wireless just gives an endless searching process, with no results. I can't test the ethernet either, my router is all the way into the living room, way far out of reach.

The DIR-825 wireless simply doesn't work. When I called tech support, we cleared some settings and hard-powered the unit on/off and it finally turned on the wireless radio. A couple weeks later I pull out my laptop to use in the house via wireless and the wireless on the DIR-825 is OFFLINE AGAIN...fallen and it can't get UP.Is anyone having issues with keeping their wireless online? OK - powered it off for 5 minutes...now the wireless is working. I think changing configuration settings causes the thing to lock up.

1) TP link wireless adapter
2) Netgear N600 wireless dual band usb adapter.
