I installed a Micro Edition of Windows 7. Everything is going properly with it except the wireless internet connection (its driver is installed and working properly as shown in Device Manager), by click Connect and typing the PW, it tries for few minutes then fail in connecting putting a yellow small circle on the wireless icon in Task bar

The latest driver is version 3.2.7 for Windows 7. I am still on the 3.0.2.0 driver which works fine for me. I just wanted to note that the 3.2.7 driver obtained from Windows Update doesn't work well, drops connections and takes longer to establish a connection. I've tried to update twice and each time I go back to the older driver.Can someone at Linksys examine the performance of this driver?

"This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured" and it gives me the option to "Install wireless networking hardware, and verify that the correct drivers are loaded" . Where can I get this wireless networking hardware?, is it on a disk that came with the laptop or do I have to download it using another computer and manually install it on my laptop. I have already don't some research online and have download some drivers but can't seem to install them on my laptop.

However, if i switch to a wireless adapter it sometimes works (like right now) even when my brother is not using the internet. The other computers can be easily connected to a USB printer on my DIR-825 (HW B1) router, but the W8 computer refuses to completely install Shareport (both the CD version and the latest download v1.17). I also tried Shareport-Plus v4.11 (found on the DIR 835 page), which did install correctly, but was still unable to see the USB printer. What can be done? Can D-Link provide a new version of Shareport?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop and laptop running Win 7 and a WRT54G router. The desktop has a cable connecting to the router, and the laptop is wireless. Both connect to the network and internet fine, but I can't get the Windows 7 homegroup thing to work. Ran thru the troubleshooter a few times and got nothing out of it.
I just got the laptop so I could do programming homework and I'd like to be able to keep things synced with subversion wirelessly. Worst comes to worst I can use a USB key but it seems silly to do that when both computers talk to the same router.
I tried restarting the router and the computer, but to no avail. I've also tried with another ethernet cable and tried several ports, but that did not work, either. What is interesting is that other computers in the household connect to the router via wire without problems. I suppose that means something's wrong with my computer, however, I do not know what. I have a netgear router which says "N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router DGN2200v3" on the back. My computer has Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I'm using a DSL connection, and Avast! antivirus.

I know the Intel R 5150 is not working right with Windows 8 just like everyone else I've seen post on various sites when they upgraded. My concern is.. when is there gonna be an updated driver!? Just got TL-MR3040 from amazon, not very happy that it is version 1, they could at least mention it in the description, but whatever...The problem is, i can not make it work with my PC laptop(thinkpad x120e with Windows 7 64 bit). Which means,1 not possible to get into web interface to configure it, and 2 if i configure it with old powerbook (os x 10.4) to share internet from usb stick, i can connect to it's wireless network but it doesn't share internet with my pc laptop,while mac and ipad working perfect...I've try to log in into web interface through the cable, still no luck...Not sure i want to re-install the whole system on my laptop just to see if it will change anything, it works with any other router, and usb sticks...
I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 which crashed, service tag . I was able to start it again using the Dell Operating System Reinstallation CD for XP Professional with SP1, that came with another computer. I then installed a Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8. However the wifi (wireless) does not work. I went to setup and assured that it is enabled. I assume that I have lost the driver for it. Before the crash it had a working wireless connection. I need to know what driver to install to make it operate. Setup indicates that my computer has a MiniPCI card 1370 Broadcom Corp.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with a direct crossover Ethernet connection between two computers. One is a Win XP laptop, the other a Win 7 64 bit desktop. I have a USB adapter on the desktop and the laptop used that to share internet with the desktop. This setup worked fine until today. There have been no network hardware changes nor software changes but the desktop's power supply recently failed and had to be replaced. After that was done I tried today to plug the adapter and cord back in and use the connection but it will not work. The connection from the modem to the desktop works fine but the connection from desktop to laptop will not detect internet access, says "Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration" and has limited connectivity. Other than a new power supply absolutely nothing has been changed.

My husband got a virus I couldn't remove. I have the CD for XP Home so I did a clean install.Windows works fine. I connected the USB wireless adapter and ran the installation disk. When I open Realtek to connect nothing appears in the available networks. I checked the device mgr and it says Realtek is working. I turned off my 2Wire gateway and then reconnected it. I was using the wired connection since then until I, at last, was able to use it's wireless connection but it only lasted around a week. The DIR-825 wireless simply doesn't work. When I called tech support, we cleared some settings and hard-powered the unit on/off and it finally turned on the wireless radio. A couple weeks later I pull out my laptop to use in the house via wireless and the wireless on the DIR-825 is OFFLINE AGAIN...fallen and it can't get UP.Is anyone having issues with keeping their wireless online? OK - powered it off for 5 minutes...now the wireless is working. I think changing configuration settings causes the thing to lock up.
