View 3 RepliesI have a TP link TL-WN722N wireless adapter and it refuses to work on my win7 machine. I've tried installying the cd driver, all the relevant drivers on the TP link website, and the generic atheros driver. I've also tried manually installing all those drivers using device manager to no avail, and it says "a device attached to your system is not functioning"
But I know the physical adaptor is working because I was able to successfully install it onto another computer (it was a windows 8 preview version).
I have the same problem in running win7 64 powerline adapters all 3 light green stable and getting "doesnt have a vaild IP config" error msg

I installed a Micro Edition of Windows 7. Everything is going properly with it except the wireless internet connection (its driver is installed and working properly as shown in Device Manager), by click Connect and typing the PW, it tries for few minutes then fail in connecting putting a yellow small circle on the wireless icon in Task bar

when i type the command ipconfig, it gives me:
ipv4 adress: 192.168.2.2
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.2.1
when i type the "ping yahoo.com" i get:
4 received, 4 sent, 0 lost
my computer works fine and i can go online. i use wire for my computer and try the same wire to my laptop but not working. i tries another cable throught the router but still nothing.
Recently I bought a Windows 8 (64bits) computer, which is now part of my home network, but it has problems with Shareport. The other computers can be easily connected to a USB printer on my DIR-825 (HW B1) router, but the W8 computer refuses to completely install Shareport (both the CD version and the latest download v1.17). I also tried Shareport-Plus v4.11 (found on the DIR 835 page), which did install correctly, but was still unable to see the USB printer. What can be done? Can D-Link provide a new version of Shareport?

Both connect to the network and internet fine, but I can't get the Windows 7 homegroup thing to work. Ran thru the troubleshooter a few times and got nothing out of it.
I just got the laptop so I could do programming homework and I'd like to be able to keep things synced with subversion wirelessly. Worst comes to worst I can use a USB key but it seems silly to do that when both computers talk to the same router.
Im looking to create a home network with a wireless router.I have three machines, one computer is downstairs connected to the router with an ethernet cable, my other two machines are upstairs and connet to the internet wirelessly through the same router downstairs.I want to be able to connect to my upstairs computer with my laptop and access my files, i have an external hard drive connect to my computer and want to be able to back up to it from my laptop without removing cables. All three machines are running windows 7, the homegroup doesn't seem to work?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Windows 8 with my XPS 16. I know the Intel R 5150 is not working right with Windows 8 just like everyone else I've seen post on various sites when they upgraded. My concern is.. when is there gonna be an updated driver!? You would think if Windows was gonna make it available to upgrade your OS to 8 that they would have all this straitened out. Now I have to get rid of 8 just so I can have WiFi!

Just got TL-MR3040 from amazon, not very happy that it is version 1, they could at least mention it in the description, but whatever...The problem is, i can not make it work with my PC laptop(thinkpad x120e with Windows 7 64 bit). Which means,1 not possible to get into web interface to configure it, and 2 if i configure it with old powerbook (os x 10.4) to share internet from usb stick, i can connect to it's wireless network but it doesn't share internet with my pc laptop, while mac and ipad working perfect...I've try to log in into web interface through the cable, still no luck...Not sure i want to re-install the whole system on my laptop just to see if it will change anything, it works with any other router, and usb sticks...
I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 which crashed, service tag . I was able to start it again using the Dell Operating System Reinstallation CD for XP Professional with SP1, that came with another computer. I then installed a Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8. However the wifi (wireless) does not work. I went to setup and assured that it is enabled. I assume that I have lost the driver for it. Before the crash it had a working wireless connection. I need to know what driver to install to make it operate. Setup indicates that my computer has a MiniPCI card 1370 Broadcom Corp.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe latest driver is version 3.2.7 for Windows 7. I am still on the 3.0.2.0 driver which works fine for me. I just wanted to note that the 3.2.7 driver obtained from Windows Update doesn't work well, drops connections and takes longer to establish a connection. I've tried to update twice and each time I go back to the older driver. Can someone at Linksys examine the performance of this driver?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the following:
CISCO 2811 router.
Windows 7 64bit
CISCO Client 5.0.07.0440 64bit
HP Probook 4530s - 4 GB ram; Core i5
The issue is we recently purcahsed new laptops for our inspectors. They where running Windows XP 32 bit with CISCO Client 5.0.01 and every thing worked fine. When I upgraded them to the new laptops I am having issues with the VPN. The symptom is that the VPN connects ok and you can download files from the servers ok but when you try to up load a file that is larger than 80 KB it hangs on "Discovering Items..." then times out. What I have tried is:I hooked one of the laptops into the LAN and connect the VPN and the uploads work fine.I setup a SoHo router in our DMZ and hook the laptop to it and I have the problem my users are having at home as described above.Tryed truning off all Windows Fire Walls. -> Fails on upload.Tryed stopping the "Indexing Service". -> Fails on upload.Updated the CISCO client to the latest version. -> Fails on upload.Removed Anti-Virus. -> Fails on upload.Used IP addresses in place of FQDN. -> Fails on upload. We have other Windows VIST 32bit computers and they do not have these problems with their VPN. These are our first 64bit computers. I really do not want to down grade to Windows 7 32bit.I can make the running config available upon request but I doubt that is the issue being that our other computers are working fine but if there is something I need to do with the tunnel to get around this issue, I am game.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a medialink USB adapter and medialink wireless router. I've had them configured for a couple of months and both seem to work fine. The issue is with only one system (main desktop computer running windows 7 64bit). I shut the system down over this past weekend and when I came back today, it said that it could not connect to the network and that the settings saved for my wireless network were incorrect.
After much frustration and googling, I finally performed a hard reset of my router (tiny button in the back) and redid all of the security settings (different SSID, different password). I finally got my desktop to connect to the network. When I connected, windows prompted me saying that I was sharing an IP address with another computer on this network. I canceled out of the prompt and my wifi worked fine. However, my computer has been randomly disconnecting from the network every few minutes for the last hour or so. I have to manually reconnect to the network every time this happens and it does not seem to stay connected for long periods of time. All other systems on the network (laptop and phone) do not have this problem.
Additional note: When first trying to fix the problem (before hard reset), I disabled the "Bonjour" service in windows AND ran the following command: netsh int ip reset C: esetlog.txt per a suggestion on a forum. I'm not sure if this would have changed anything even after the reset.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis laptop came with Win7 32-bit on it. The company standard is Win7 64-bit. I have installed it with no problems except for the WiFi: when I install the driver I get this message in the Device Manager Properties window and the WiFi radio does not work (Intel software says no devices exist):
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed
a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
The device is Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205.
Is there an updated driver that I can install to get this to work?
I just recently upgraded my OS from Win XP 32 bit to Win 8 64 bit. I am trying to get everything in order and most of the drivers are now working (CCC for my graphics card, driver for my Striker). However, I am having difficulty locating the driver for 64 bit windows for my Linksys adapter.
For the moment I am running wifi by using my old XP setup (which is the only way I can post on [H]). :P
I have a Windows 7 64 Bit machine, and I cannot find a way to disable the IPv6 Loopback. I looked at the article at How to disable IP version 6 or its specific components in Windows and shows how to set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpip6ParametersDisabledComponents to various values – but none of these seems to disable IPv6 Loopback. I attempted setting this value to 0xffffffff and 0x20 – restarting my computer after each change, and I still do not get this disabled.
I am using another software called Webdriver or Selenium that gives errors when debugging if IPv6 Loopback is not disabled. It seems to attempt to connect to [::1]:7055 and fails. Is there a way to force it to connect to 127.0.0.1.
