View 9 RepliesI have managed to get the tunnel up and working and we are sending data via the tunnel from our Cisco VPN router to the Draytek and onto the clients server. (they , the client, have acknowledged that they are recieving and sending packets back to us).But, we never see any returning packets at our VPN tunnel endpoint. When we send I see the encrypted packet count go up , but the packet decrypt remains at zero, this is using show crypto ipsec sa | begin x.x.x.x.
We do have other working VPN solutions, but this is the first connecting to a Draytek. The ACL's are matching, and they have NAT turned off. The routing is fine or else the tunnel would not come up as are all the tunnel parameters, else our packets would not arrive at their server.
We have a Cisco RV042 Router. Two ISP's and using dual wan setup. We are trying to connect to a pc on our network using rdp. The pc we are trying to connect to has been configured to listed for rdp on port 3390. I have tested it internally and connect via rdp thru said port.
I have setup a port forward rule on the router to forward port 3390 to the ip of the pc. I have setup protocol binding for port 3390 service on wan1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have only recently noticed a HUGE decrease in my Utorrent speeds, so i thought i would have a gander and lo and behold.apparently the port Utorrent uses wasn't open. Now, i have tried about 10 different port numbers, made sure Utorrent is being accepted by Norton 360 Firewall,followed complicated directions to (i think) foward ports, and also follow directions to open a specific port.Nothing has worked so far, Utorrent still comes back with a port closed error.

Http and https traffic over the tunnel is having connection issues. I can Remote desktop or PCanywhere into the remote PCs. From that PC I can ping internal IP address or IP of the webmail server or internal webserver with no issue. But if I access it over the browser it times out or it will work and stop working again. Basically ica, icmp, pcanythere, rdp traffic works over the tunnel but not http or https.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Comcast cable. I have a motorola cable modem. I run that into a Netgear 8-channel router with wireless (that's 8 physical network sockets).I have had these devices hard-connected to the router up until today and everything has been running fine:
* My Desktop (desktop running Windows 7 with Gigabyte motherboard and built-in Realtek NIC)
* T-Mobile VoIP device
* My Laptop (old Alienware running XP with generic NIC)
Today I took my old desktop motherboard from a year ago (Gigabyte motherboard, but not the same as My Desktop, built-in Realtek NIC), gutted it out, replaced the hard drive, got it running Windows 7 and set it up for my kids. Got it connected to the Internet early this morning when my machine was off and it ran fine.While it was updating, I fired up My Desktop and the router stopped working, all machines lost Internet, and I was at a loss.After some troubleshooting, it turns out that if I have My Desktop and the Kids Machine connected to the router and running at the same time, all devices on the router lose connection. I can have the Kids Machine on with the T-Mobile device and My Laptop and they all work. I can have My Desktop on with the T-Mobile device and My Laptop and they all work. But as soon as My Desktop and the Kids Machine come on together, everything gets hosed.The router is set to reserve different IP addresses by Mac Address for every machine. And I've verified that My Desktop gets its IP address correctly, and so does the Kids Machine. They are different IPs.I (usually) know just enough about networking to get a home network set up.
I have just purchased a nas drive. I want to be able to access my files from anywhere. I believe if i setup FTP i can view the files over the web. from what i have been told i need to forward port 21 to the ip address of the nas drive.

I'm using Vista, but I've tried it on a computer with XP as well. I'm using the standard windows firewall, but I also tried disabling it.
I'm using the original 1.10 firmware, I don't know if this is a known issue that was fixed or not.

I made sure to check everything in the sticky before I posted and it all checks out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to forward the ports for several ip network cams, that have built in webservers, on this router. I have done this before on my old Linksys router with no problems but the Netgear has me stumped.The only way I can reach any of these devices from the Internet is to map them to port 80. But that limits me to one device, hence the need to forward more ports.All cams have fixed ip addresses so it is not an issue of their ip addresses changing.

I always seem to have problems when trying to configure port forwarding on cisco routers. I've even tried the instructions I have for a cisco 1811, but no luck. I have a cisco 871 and a computer that has VNC installed on it. I want to be able to access that computer from out side the network using the external ip address and port 5950. People outside the network will be able to open vnc viewer and type in *external ip address*:5950 and it will be directed to the computer with a static internal ip address of 10.12.0.10. What commands do I use to do this?
