How To Disable Ad-Aware Safe Browsing In Firefox
Apr 13, 2012
I installed Ad-Aware Pro 30 day trial. I enabled safe browsing but it doesn't allow me to open some websites. Ok, perhaps thats the point of safe-browsing but I need to enter those sites. So, I decided to disable it, but I don't know how. I clicked "off" on Ad-Aware's "Home" window, but the sites still not working. Theres a possibility that the websites I'm trying to enter are not going to work after I disable safe-browsing because there's something wrong with internet(I'll open another topic for that). But still, I'd like to see Firefox's "cannot found" window, not Ad-Aware's.

Ever since setting up this router it has been giving me problems on my laptop, connected wirelessly. At random intervals, throughout the house, an error saying "Connection was reset" comes up in firefox when browsing the web. I've tried resetting the router twice, and updating my network adapter's(Intel 465AGN) drivers. Neither of these worked. No settings on the router were modified, other than enabling the Qos engine. Signal quality isn't the problem either as it is full at all times. On my other computers, three connected through wireless and one through wired, there have been no problems at all and they perform very well.

Yesterday I picked up a laptop of a friend of mine which had some problems with the Internet connectivity. Turns out, Internet only works when booted in Safe Mode, however, it does ping in Normal Mode so there is connectivity. Tried IE and Firefox, both do not work in Normal Mode and do work in Safe Mode. MSN Messenger won't work in Normal Mode either. After carefully checking the Windows event logs, it looks like some services are not booted in normal mode.I have executed the following steps and measures in order for me to see if I would be able to fix the problem myself.
1) Boot in Normal Mode:
- Checked the settings of the adapter, no exclamation marks or other problems.
- Installed Revo Uninstaller Pro > Uninstalled all present antivirus program
- Installed Microsoft Security Essentials
- Ran a Full scan with Microsoft Securty Essentials; 1 virus > removed (just a virus which gives pop-ups)
- Installed CC Cleaner, cleaned the whole system
- Shut off all antivirus programs, IE and Firefox still not working.
2) Looked for extra information:cmd > Ipconfig/all Normal Mode [code]

I have a scenario where I may have to run VRFs on a router that is currently facing an ISP as a BGP peer. peering two BGP peers, one of which is VRF aware (and hence configured within the address-family ipv4 vrf X subsection) and the other is not? (the BGP aware and internet facing segment will go into its own VRF where previously this router was only in that VRF and hence had no awareness). Are there any caveats or restrictions? Does the presence of the VRF throw the ISP peer?

I am getting a hard time in order to understand the real difference between the two types of context aware licenses for the MSE:
1 . AIR-CAS-1KC-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Clients and Tags (RSSI based)
2. AIR-CAS-1KT-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Tags(RSSI, Chokeponts and TDOA)
For a regular network without any devices with tags such as RFID, I understand I do not need to get the .2, only .1, even though the .1 also is shared with clients at 1K of each. Also, the .2 does not say clients, only tags and advanced features as TDOA. Going through the Q&A it does not clearly says the difference, when to use one or the other.

Does the MIR feature on the MSE 3350 requires the Context-Aware Service to work? I read that the system uses location, signal strength and coverage data in conjunction with monitor mode APs at each exit to trigger the roam. I just don't know if MIR does this on it's own or needs to get location from Context-Aware service.

I have a Cisco SG200 26 Port Switch, 2 Cisco WAP4410N Access points, and a VLAN aware Router. I have created 4 VLAN's. For the sake of this conversation lets call them.
98 - Intel Vpro
99 - Management
100 - General
101 - Guest
The Access points are capable of doing V LAN tagging so I plan on having them tag a guest network as V LAN 101. That can get sent to the V LAN aware router and out. No problem. I have some devices, or management pages that I don't want accessible from the general network. (Intel V pro KVM, Remote Management Cards, AP Config Menus, Switch config menu...) . I need to be able to take a V LAN unaware device, plug it into port 1, and have it communicate with V LAN 98, 99 and 100.

I read some documents which reads Netflow ver.9 can be enabled on Cisco GSR 12000 Series, but no mention about catalyst switches. Netflow ver 9 can be activated on catalyst 6500 series.. because the point where switch is located already have mpls encapsulated packet ( mpls vpn packet).

I have site with two links, one for internet traffic and one for voice, they have seperate public IP ranges. There is an existing site to site VPN between the site and a datacentre. The site device is a 2801 with a WIC-4ESW and the datacentre is an ASA 5510. The internet link is heavily contended and due to certain priority users complaining about the pseed of their connection, we decided to route these users over the voice link, and I did this using PBR. I created an SVI on the router and used one of the ports on the 4ESW to connect to the voice router.
I wanted to also create another site to site with a peer address on the voice link, so I configured a VRF, put the SVI into that VRF and created a static default route for the VRF. I set the VRF for a subnet of the existing LAN using PBR and I created a keychain for the VRF, set up an isakmp profile for that VRF and created the crypto map.
The site to site won't come up, and debugs are showing some weird stuff in the Proxy ID's and indicate that there is no crypto map exists for the interface.
I wish I could use VTI, but due tio the ASA at the remote end, I can't.The configs and debugs are below.
ip vrf VOICE_ROUTER
description **VRF for VPN PBR and QoS for Finance Users**
crypto keyring VPN2MH vrf VOICE_ROUTER

Whenever I try to use Firefox, no matter what website I try to go to, I get the message that firefox can't connect to the server. Whenever I try to go on safari, I get the message that it can't connect to the internet. However, when I use Opera, everything works fine, so it's not something wrong with my internet. At the same time, the website omegle stopped working for me, I don't know if this is related. When I open firefox, I also get the message "TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined". I don't know what that means, but it's probably involved.

I am setting up a Linux apache and bind server to test the behaviour of Windows XP,Vista, 7 and Mac OS X.I have setup a apache and bind already and they were tested individually. I used Firefox and IE to access the apache page by type in the IPv6 address and the page was showed correctly. And I have tried to query the AAAA record of a local zone "testing.com" in my Bind server using nslookup and the result is good too. However, it is strange that I cannot get it work if I type in the FQDN "http://testing.com" in Firefox and IE. I tried to capture the IPv6 traffic in Wireshark (Attached in this post) and there are no DNS query when I try to access the page. Is there anything that I have to set to get it work properly?(Actually I have tested the same thing on Mac OS X and Vista too but the result is the same)Below is my Windows 7 network setting and some nslookup query:

I cannot connect to the internet using firefox or chrome but there's no problem with internet explorer. This happened after I installed and uninstalled speedbit video accelerator. When opened chrome, it gave me the following
error.
(net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown error.
After the problem occurred, I rebooted the system, uninstalled firefox and chrome, freshly downloaded firefox (from IE) and the problem persists. I couldn't download chrome because chrome installer says it can't connect to the
internet. Following are the details regarding my system and software.
o/s : windows 7 ultimate
internet explorer : 9.0.8112.16421 64 bit
firefox : 14.01
[Code].....
I tried stopping the firewall and the problem persists. Can't access router via firefox too!! Firefox doesn't give an error it just gives a blank page (about:home).
If this is a dns problem, how come it doesn't affect IE ?? Why can't utorrent listen on listen port ??

Am experiencing the same problem where IE can connect to internet, but not Chrome, although the only change to my desktop PC (WinXP SP3) was a windows update. This issue seems to be quite common among all Windows OS because when I queried "can't connect chrome to internet" I've found over 50 posts at various forum describing your issue (and mine). I have also eliminated firewall, antivirus, etc and obviously since IE can get on the internet..my network connection is fine...as is/was yours. Looking more closely I'm thinking that somehow the specific port on outbound is not being accessed by Chrome/Firefox because I used a sniffer and see no request leave my pc and verified no request through my router either.
The winsock catalog in a namespace server configuration listing right? How would you explain that resetting the winspace catalogue fixes the issue?Wand3r3r said it was malware, but I'm quite sure we don't have that issue...I know my machine doesn't and this has occured on the library PCs also. I wan't to find sure fix and understand what is happening on the Windows stack, so that I can assuredly deploy Chrome on a student network and not see this re-occuring all over the place.

I am on Windows 7 with the Tor/Vidalia proxy package. After downloading Privoxy 3.0.17 and installing the program, I get the following message when I try to start it: "Fatal error: can't bind Privoxy to 127.0.0.1: 8118. There may be another Privoxy or some other proxy running on port 8118". Most assuredly, I have never installed Privoxy before and I don't know which other proxies may be running on Port 8118. Aside from Tor/Vidalia, the only other proxy I am running alternatively with Tor for anonymity is Jap-JonDo. It is also confusing that most web sites mention a Vidalia bundle containing Privoxy, but none of the bundles actually contains it. They all have Polypo instead. I hear that Privoxy is recommended, but how do I get it running, with the message I got?

I have a desktop and bought a wireless adapter to hook up to my apartment complex's wireless network through cox. We have had no connection issues for several weeks.Randomly, both IE and Firefox stopped displaying webpages. Firefox displays the message "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."Our apartment complex has tech support, so I called him and we went over so many things. The issue, as he says, is that when I do an ipconfig /release, I SHOULD be showing, under my wireless adapter, the ivp4 address as 0.0.0.0. When I do the release, it shows no ivp4 address, period. It shows I have, and am connected to, the internet and the connection. My apartment complex has 5 different wireless connections I can try, and all result in the same problem. I am able to ping google, yahoo, etc, but when I try to ping my apartment complex's wireless connection (their router) it fails.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless adapter and software, system restore, reinstalling windows, restarting the WAN service under services.smc, unchecking ivp6 under my wireless adapter properties. I have tried disabling McAfee and Windows Firewall. I have no idea what else I can do.I also should note that I have 2 computers of the exact same model, and both present this same exact problem when I connect the wireless adapter to it, so it leads me to believe it is something to do either with the adapter or something with the connection from the adapter to the router. (I can connect to the wireless connection but not to the router itself to login to my complex's internet agreement page.)I have Windows 7 32-bit. I was in the process of signing up for Netflix when this happened, and did not download anything.

I've never had a router or network in my place and I've just bought a DIR-825. I previously had a DIR-615? but returned it because I was having this problem. Now I'm still having it with the 825.When I use IE or Mozilla Firefox(preferred) I can usually navigate 2-3 pages before the program stalls and goes (Not Responding) for about 15-20 seconds before it starts going again. Then it repeats again in about another 3-4 pages or so.
I've got the times set for my router and I'm using Firmware 2.03NA-RevB

For the last two weeks or so I keep getting kicked out of websites I have went to on more than one occasion. IE just says cannot display webpage and firefox keeps saying connection timed out. I have been researching this issue through other forms. Here is what I have tried so far to fix this issueReset all cookies, history, etc Renewd IP System Restore I am not running off any proxys Did a full compuer scan and removed all threats/virus' Reset SSL's Uninstalled Windows IE and Firefox and reinstalled Unplugged Router Put cookies/firewall settings to minimun or none and tried to access websitesThere is no specific trend towards the webstites I go to, that I can see at least. One is my bank account and another is a clothing store, little things like that here and there. I can't get on any mozilla websites for tech so I have been googling it through my Android. I even did a diagnostic through windows on a specific website and it said that everything checked out and that it was a web site issue, which I find hard to believe since I can access it through my phone
