My computer surfs the internet great for about 5-20 minutes, then it will stop loading pages. I have to restart my computer to get it to start up again. I usually use Google Chrome and when it stops I have checked Internet Explorer to see if it works but it won't load any pages either. I also have checked the connection and it says I'm online. I did the trouble shooting guide for Internet Explorer and that got me no where. I did the ping thing and it checked out that I'm online. It still won't load any pages unless I keep restarting my computer. I have Windows XP and don't know what to do?
I'm having problems loading web pages. It's inky on one laptop as other devices and pcs work. The laptop in question is running windows 7 and I haven't made any substantial changes to it as of late. The network centre says I'm connected to the router with full bars. When I use chrome it comes up with a dns lookup failed error, IE7 just says cannot display, when I click diagnose nothing comes up. So far I have changed the dns server addresses to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 under internet protocol version 4. This worked until restarting the laptop. I've also typed, under advice, something in the cmd box for dns flush
I am using a Netgear DG834N modem/router that we moved onto our second phoneline (homeline) that was previously installed on our (now closed down) home office phoneline. We are using the same equipment, provider and provider plan but now we are having major connecting issues. About every second web page will not open. If you refresh, sometimes it will load other times you get the "IE cannot connect to.." This is becoming increasingly frustrating. We run both wireless and hardwired PCs and laptops and use IE, firefox and/or Safari. We run Kaspersky or bitdefender, windows 7 and XP. We can watch re-runs of Tv shows and you-tube no worries. It is the connecting in the first place.
I have Imac 21.5 inch 2011 Oct series. with 2.5 GHZ , 8 gig ram.My problem is that for some reasons sometimes I cannot load into simple web pages, I get error message like " Server not found "Firefox can't find the server at [URL]But this website and the others work fine on my laptop which runs vista. I assume it is sort of network problem or a router problem, I've connected Ethernet cable directly to my Imac but still, same situation either with FireFox or Safari.
Since yesterday, nearly every time I load a web page it either doesn't stop loading or sometimes doesn't even load at all. At first I thought that the problem was just with Chrome, but I've since tried Firefox and Explorer and get the same issue. I've tried scanning for viruses, malware and even ran Boostspeed to see if it will solve the problem, but nothing has worked.
I don't know why this has happened all of a sudden, I've not made any significant changes or installed anything new so I'm stumped. I have the fastest fiber optic package my ISP has, so it isn't down to not having enough bandwidth. Can I try resetting my router with the pinhole at the back, or will that cause me to lose settings, which I won't be able to restore ,and not be able to connect to the internet at all? (I know the routers password)
I'm on a wired business network. Some of the machines are Windows 7 and some are XP Pro, but all of us are having issues connecting to web pages, especially pages with lots of pictures. If you refresh it a few times, it may pop up. Some don't ever come up, like weather.com. The server has the same issue, even if you connect it directly to the router.
I am working on setting up a Linksys router for my Dad. I am moderately competent with networking. Anyway, a glaring, and obnoxious problem I am having is everytime I load a page for the router(192.168.1.1), it does not completely load and I have to hit refresh. Now when I try to change the router settings from DHCP to PPPoE, it reloads the page, for whatever reason, and because this router wants to be irritating, it only half loads the page, so I cannot click the "save settings" button. This is what has been done to the router after being reset(red button on the back held in for 10 sec):I turned on the modem, and plugged directly in to make sure I had internet connection.I plugged the modem's ethernet into the "Internet" port on the wireless router. And finally, I plug an ethernet cable from my computer to the 1st port on the wireless router.Nothing else has been changed. I have not turned on any ridiculous settings. This half-loading router pages is driving me up the wall though. I cannot even troubleshoot the wireless connectivity because I cannot make any changes.
I just bought a XPS 8300, I use Google Chrome for a browser, cable modem internet connection, and quite often, web pages will not load quickly, or will take a couple of reloads to load properly. Any advice on how to cure this annoying trend of mine?
I'm connecting to the internet via ADSL. The modem is in our living room and has a DIR-655 connected to it. Also connected are an IPTV set-top box and an Xbox 360. In our office room we have 2 computers and a Buffalo LinkStation hard drive connected by wire to a DAP-1522 which is working as a bridge for the wireless network created by the DIR-655. The reason for this configuration is that the set-top box refused to work with IPTV through the wireless bridge. Before we got IPTV, the bridge was in the living room and was primarily used for Xbox, while the modem was in the office and allowed all desktop PCs to connect by wire.
Ever since we've had the desktop PCs connected via the bridge, surfing has been difficult. Download speeds are good, but very often webpages simply refuse to load. The browser just says "Connecting to [internet address here]. For example, I might log on to Facebook, have the front page load and then I try to open a picture someone has uploaded, but nothing happens. Clicking links, nothing happens. Clicking anywhere, nothing happens. Put a new address in the address bar, nothing happens. It just tries to connect the addresses, but won't.After waiting a while, or restarting the browser, it might work again for a while.
Is it my new modem, the DIR-655 or the DAP-1522? All devices get their IPs from the ADSL modem to ensure proper networking between the devices. Streaming from the NAS to the Xbox is flawless.
With firmware 1.0.4.17 I am have issues with configuration pages not loading and needing to restart the web interface and login again. This is a new problem that started after updating to 1.0.4.17
i have a really simple home network setup using the Cisco 871W 4-Port 10/100 Wireless G Router (CISCO871W-G-A-K9). I can't figure out for the life of me what is going on. Web pages seem to "half load" sometimes (netflix, facebook, bank of america doesn't load at all, etc). It doesn't always happen. Sometimes the pages will load fine. I have tested with multiple computers so I know that it is the router itself. Below is my configuration. Ignore anything regarding the wifi. I know that isn't set up correctly. I'll deal with that later. I wanted to see if i was missing anything. Config is really basic. Attached is what one of the "half loading" web pages looks like

Our ACS 5.2 is authenticating ASA VPN users with Radius. I would like to use the ACS to authenticate ASA administrator logins with Tacacs. When I modify the ASA Network Device by checking the Tacacs box in addition to the Radius box, ASA VPN authentication stops. Running original 5.2 without any patches on ESX. platform. I thought 5.2 supports radius and tacacs on the same device?
On subsequent tests found that just opening the ASA Network Device and closing the window will also stop the ASA RADIUS from working. Logs don't show any attempt by the ASA to connect and I'm sure that's wrong. To fix it, I reselect all ACS policy items and save the same settings. Sounds like a bug?
I purchased an E4200 from a retail store about ten days ago.It completely quits periodically. Even the managment interface is gone. It seems to just die. The only fix is to unplug it, count to ten and plug it back in.router also gets extremely hot. I have tried locating it in several places, no matter where I put it, it still gets very hot. Right now I have it straddling a trash can so that it has about two feet of air space under it. It is still uncomfortable to the touch.
When I contacted technical support all they would do is walk me through setting it up from scratch again. I've done that many times, and I do not want to do it agian. Setting the router up agian will not make it cool down.
1. Exchange this for another one, probably from the same batch, at the store? 2. Fight with Linksys tech support to get a waranty return? (Any input on how to get them to do this?) 3. Return this router altogether (paying the retailer's 15% restocking fee) and look for another brand?
This is my second E1000, the first one worked fine until the power supply flaked out and overheated. So I bought another E1000 and this one worked fine for about 6 months. Now it just quits broadcasting. It will work for a couple hours to 18 hours before it stops. I have to unplug it and wait 30 seconds, power up and it.
I connected wired modem to pc and internet pages wont open and it wont work and once i opened my laptop and turned on wifi and it connected to internet through wife and internet is coming flawelessy and its not working on my pc at same time
I recently upgraded a remote site of mine to IOS 15-2.SE ipbasek9 on 3 3560E series switches. On switch number 2 I have 5 VG224's running (vg224-i6k9s- m) 12.4(22)T3. After the switches reloaded the VG224's dropped their connection. After doing all basic troubleshooting I reloaded the 12.2 (58)SE2 ipbasek9 image back on to the 3560E's and the VG224's reconnected immediately after reload and all phones registered.
Is the problem a licensing issue with the 15.x IOS on the 3560's or do I need to upgrade the VG224's to IOS 15.x as well for them to connect and operate via the 3560e switch running 15-2?
I just signed up for Time Warner - Road Runner internet service. I am currently hardwired via ethernet to the new cable modem (arris cm820) while I wait for my wireless router to arrive. The internet appears to be working fine (good speed), however, it stalls without fail every 3 minutes. It will freeze and no pages will open (FYI, it does not open a "you are not connected to the internet" page, it simply just sits there trying to load any and all pages). After about 5 minutes, the pages will suddenly load and the internet will work fine for another 3 minutes. Then, it will freeze all over again. Rinse and repeat. When this happens, the modem shows no physical signs of disconnection (all lights are on as normal) and network diagnostics on the mac shows that that the ethernet is still connected as well.I tried calling Time Warner and all they could say is that it "looks fine from our end, watch it for 24 hours and call back." So basically they knew nothing.
I am having trouble with the internet on my HP laptop.. I am positive it is connected to the internet, yet pages won't load.. when I troubleshoot it says no problems detected
My computer had a filter on it that used a proxy server. The company (called Familink) went out of business. They provided an application for removing the filter, but it did not work, and the filter was never removed. I believe when the filter was installed, it modified the registry to prevent internet browsing unless the proxy was active. Now, since the company is out of business, there is no way to use the proxy, and I cannot browse the internet at all. I can still connect to secure (https://) sites just fine, but not any other channel. It is not a problem with the ISP, because I can browse the internet just fine on the same computer using linux. It just does not work with windows. When running a diagnostic test, I get error 0x2751, or "WSAEHOSTUNREACH"
IE and Firefox both refused to load my homepage (google) or any other page in my bookmarks. Uninstalled and reinstalled both, even going back a couple of versions and still nothing. I know I'm connected as my iPhone works fine. With this in mind, I tried opening up safari to see what that would do and to my supprise, it works fine, bit slow but still, at least it works. So now I defiantly know that the Internet is working.
I have a neighbor whose wireless network is not secured (open). When I try connecting to it, it appears connected like a normal wireless network -except without the bell sound that I get form my wireless card software when the connection is successful-. However, web pages cannot be displayed nor can I update any software, and it is as if there is no internet connection at all. Actually, I have used my neighbor's wireless internet for a long time before the occurrence of this problem, and I can connect to any other open wireless network without any problems. Do you think that my neighbor has changed something in the settings of his wireless network to prevent me from accessing it? What should I do in order to solve this problem from my laptop?
I have done so much research and tried almost everything on these forums, but still the internet wont load on my laptop. It is a Acer mini with Windows 7 starter. The other day the internet just stopped loading pages. It shows that it is connect to my router, and when I try to go to a page, it just says loading. I tried to connect with the ethernet chord from the modem and it does the same thing. I think there is a connection, but just wont load pages because the avast will update the virus definitions. I've tried to update the drive, reset the ipconfig. One thing I noticed is that the ip6v says not connected but the ip4v says internet. If I can do anything to get more info I surely will post it back up here, I just need to get my connection back up
i have 3 systems. 1 server,2 client(all installed with xp). internet connected to server machine. all systems connected to a switch. Internet sharing is ok but on client machine not loading webpages like facebook or yahoo. The client machine loads [URL] in amazing speed, but not loading any other webpages. I tried disabling the avast antivirus but no use. Server machine loads everything correctly. i am using windows xp in the host file '127.0.0.1 localhost' only cleared the history tested with 3 browsers (IE, chrome, mozilla) Nothing works.. MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server : 8 MaxConnectionsPerServer : 4 In the server machine, i have installed Comodo firewall "ping facebook.com" shows no problem!!(in both server and client)
My computer (running windows XP and connected to the internet with a D Link USB adapter) refuses to load any webpages: despite showing full signal strength and connection in both the D Link settings and the windows XP wireless panel.I am able to ping websites and other computers in the house (all of which are able to access the internet) but no pages load in any browser I try.
I`m new here I recently purchased the dir-615. I started configuring with cd but i couldn`t get past the step where it should verify if cables are plugged in , so I did it manually. Some pages won`t load , internet speed is slow ( Both wireless and lan speed ) . I am using a PPPOE connection , I even got my ISP to check my settings, and he said it was alright but it reduces my speed by a lot. Usually I download with 1 MB/s with the router on wi-fi I hardly get 50 kb/s and on lan max is 100 kb/s.
Applications such as skype, teamviewer, etc, are all working fine, however, when I try to load certain webpages, such as Facebook and forum boards, they don't load, just stay white screen.
Youtube, google, both load, I imagine this is because they're both on the Google servers, apart from any Google related sites, I can't find any that will load for me.
I think this is a problem wth my DNS addresses, I've tried a range of solutions, clearing my DNS, changing my IPv4 address, restarting the router, PC, but I can't seem to find a fix.
Running on windows 7 Home premium
NOTE: I had the Metropolitan police virus yesterday, I did a system restore to remove it, my internet worked fine after, it's only since I've moved from the router at my other house, to the one here that I'm having problems.
I have a Dell Inspiron 2320 computer. I have only had it for 9 months and it is running extremely slow. If I click on a website, it takes forever to load up. When I get frustrated from waiting, I'll hit CTRL + ALT + DEL and go to task manager. When the task manager pops up, all of a sudden the website that I was trying to load, will finish loading. It is very annoying. The computer is only used for searching the internet, a little bit of internet banking, and a few books have been down loaded from amazon to a kindle.
if I can enter their main page, I cannot enter individual sections. I will get this "This webpage is not available" error. The thing is that, both forums have been running smoothly for others but not me.Few days ago, the situation wasn't so bad. But when I using my ISP Proxy Address I can only access one of the 2 forums only. Hence, to access the other one, I would have to disable my ISP Proxy Address,Now, I can't. Even if I use Google DNS, I also cannot access the forums at all,Is my network screwed up ? But if it was screwed up, how come I can access to other forums but not these 2 ?
I can't connect to the internet through Google chrome or explorer, pages simply won't load.
-can't ping the pc from other pc but can ping the modem - internet shows connected and receiving data - all connections tight - internet/wireless modem working fine working fine with my other pc/laptop - all other programs on the pc seem to work fine - I have changed no settings on the pc since I last used it and the internet - I had not used the internet in approx 2 months on the problem pc - I tried turning off the firewall. - running XP
I recently updated my firmware in my WRV210 router to Version 2.0.1.5 which is the most recent on Cisco's download page. After upgrading the firmware, I found that some of the administration pages do not appear to load correctly in internet explorer version 9.0.5. For example, the ADMINISTRATION -> MANAGEMENT page has data but to see the data, I have to scroll down about 3 pages. All five entries under STATUS do not have any data visible at all which is typical for most of the other administration pages. An image of the Status Router page is inserted below. I have logged in to the administration pages with an old version of Firefox 3.0.14 and the pages are visible. The operating system that I am running is Windows 7 64bit.
I haven't run across any other entries like on this or other sites.
