I keep loosing internet conection when i`m watching youtube videos. Conection is wired and super fast fiberopticks internet. Trouble shooter says: no valid IP adress and one other thing. Maybe for a minute or less, but there was never any obvious sign of disconnection, IE. my tray icon never says disconnected or limited connectivity. But there are signs of getting disconnected when I am either gaming or watching videos online. The video would buff a bit then get stucked, then loads after a few to 30 sec delay. When gaming, I would lag out or have everyone waiting for me to connect back (warcraft3, starcraft When I am downloading files, this does not ever happened, no matter how big the file size is. This problem started a few days ago. I tried restart the modem but I cannot possible do that every 15 mins. Another problem that could possibly be also be the same is that I am connected but cannot browse websites. If I am downloading anything, it will still keep download, i just can't browse or log on to online games.

(always in the wireless mode), my laptop (Sony, Vaio VGN-NW110D) freezes when I stream videos online or when I use skype video calls. It sometimes freezes for a few minutes (in that case it's just really extremely slow and it sounds like a satanic robot), and then comes back (but does it again a few minutes later. Or sometimes, and this is more frequent with skype video calls, it completely freezes, and I have to reboot the hard way...This never happened to me before and I've been watching videos and video skyping for years. I have windows 7, service pack 1 (32 bits) now . I have windows 7 now, since about the same time I bought the router. But what makes me think its related to the router is that when I'm at work, or at my parents, or sisters, or boyfriend's house, this problem does NOT occure.... I don't know if this information could be relevant, but this does not happen when I make videos calls with skype on my iphone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLenovo core2duo Desktop XP Pro works OK to internet when hard wired to router.Marvell 88E8057 network card with latest May 2011 drivers on XP. Both a gateway laptop and an HP laptop also work hardwired.When I use a Wireless Access point, it works fine with the laptops. However, when I use the Lenovo desktop connected directly by wire to the WAP, I only get "partial" internet access.I can ping yahoo, I can get a google page. But any "thick" content seems to be blocked.I can't play any youtube videos on the Lenovo via the WAP, or view websites with rich content.I get the youtube page, but it hangs on play. the laptops work wether wired to the router, or wired to the WAP. With any content including youtube.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was able to play youtube and open the website but last 3-4 days every time i try to open the website it say's "Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.youtube.com...". every other website is opening fine i tryed IExplorer, google chrome and it's the same, scaned for malware, no problems in hosts file, cleared cookies, fixed registry with CCleaner, and still have the problem. My pc info: Win 7 ultimate 32-bit SP1, intel pentium dual cpu E2200, 2.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, with avast anti virus.

View 10 Replies View RelatedFor some reason Youtube Videos are running extremely slow in Firefox. It has never been this slow, it lags so much when I even have a video on 360p. The worst part, it lags when advertisements load. I don't know why it's doing this, but I want to fix it somehow.

I bought a D-Link DIR-655 hoping to get a faster connection over my Netgear WNR2000.I runs mostly fine apart from the occasional freezes and one other problem: youtube video's won't load. I can search and browse youtube, but when I click on the video, the page loads but the video just doesn't load. I can see the play/pause button and the circle telling use the video is loading. Then that's it. Nothing happens. When I plug back my WNR2000, Youtube videos load fine. Same thing on my roommate's laptop. I bought this router over a month ago so I can't return it, spending $80 on a piece of shit like is frustrating when living off a student budget. I'm just about to throw it out the window

It all started when I updated my DIR-655 to the newest firmware 2.07NA because I wanted to have an Open NAT for my PS3 because it was set on Strict and I wasn't able to fix it other than updating my router. Now, Youtube works, but I can't play any videos, it's keep in a infinite loop. And I can't access some sites, such as Google, Youtube Facebook and Yahoo, on my iPad, it just won't load.
I just don't know what to do, I'm not really a crack when it comes to router, I don't know jack about my router to be honest, I know how to set the Wi-Fi, forward ports but that's basically all. It seems that it is a firewall problem, but I don't even know how my firewall settings works! UDP and TCP are set on Endpoint Independent but putting them into default doesn't do much, well it does nothing.

I just purchased a Belkin N300 and it's advertised as being able to video chat as well as have two computers connected to it. I can't even watch youtube videos with just one laptop connected because the ads take 5 minutes to load. Is this normal behavior for this router? Do I need to upgrade to be able to Skype?

But on one of them which runs Windows 7 and MCAfee Antivirus I cannot watch any videos from Youtube. On the other one which runs Windows XP all videos are running great. I've check the firmware version and it is the last one. I've try to disable the firewall in McAfee and it still does not work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop running Vista SP2. My Internet Explorer is at version 7.06. When I attempt to open a video on youtube.com I get the following message:
"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player."
I checked my Internet Explorer options and I do have JavaScript enabled. I also downloaded the latest version of Adobe's Flash Player and then rebooted my laptop. Get the same the message.
I am certain that I have opened them successfully before on this laptop. I've only had it since December 2008 and loaded only MS Office 2007 and the Shield Deluxe 2009 antivirus software on it.
I have cable @ 15Mbps down, 2Mbps up. The cable line comes into the crawl space in my daylight basement. I have 3 Cat-5 cables running through the house. 1 to the TV downstairs, and then 1 each to 2 bedrooms on the second floor (one of which is my home office). In the home office, this Cat-5 is connected to a 24-port switch. I plug my printer, NAS, computers, etc into this switch.I have a WRT54G2 v1 that I was using as my Router/AP.I have a 1st & 3rd generation iPad. The iPad 3 plays YouTube videos in HD. About 6 weeks ago I started to get slow YouTube video playback on my iPad's. They would play a few seconds, then pause to buffer, etc. It used to be that videos started playing almost immediately and would never buffer.
Using Wifi Analyzer for Android, I noticed my neighborhood is saturated with 2.4Ghz wifi. So, I figured it must be that the 2.4Ghz band is saturdated and if I moved to a 5Ghz band, the YouTube buffering would be fixed.So, I purchased an E4200 (v1 I think) from Amazon. I bought this Router/AP because it supported the 5Ghz band. It also I connected it to my cable modem and setup everything. Still slow YouTube, and now YouTube videos are slow on my laptop (connected via ethernet). I still get ~15Mbps over ethernet or wifi using the speed test page provided by my ISP, but YouTube videos are VERY slow.
I want to stream/surf YouTube videos frm my wifi to my tablet in 720P resolution.Can I get away with a cheap wifi router OR I have to buy an expensive unit?

Specifically the little wireless icon in the bottom right of my windows 7 display gets a yellow exclamation mark for about 10-30 seconds then recconects. Its quite annoying and seems to be happening more often now. I have a strange setup on the router, i think its running in bridge mode or something and the modem is doing the actual routing.

I have this problem of loosing internet connection every 1-2 min. I ping Google and I have a lots of Requested timed out about 7-8 of those then I have a reply for 30 sec than it starts again "...timed out"t first I thought it was a problem from my ISP than I called them they checked and it seems that everything it's OK and their behalf. I keep calling them for this problem and they came changed the cable and the router but the problem keeps going.I've had the same ISP for over 2 years now and I didn't have any problem but has started about 1 month ago. At first I was using a TP-LINK 54M Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router connected throught Poppe with a username. I thought it was that the modem had the problem but the ISP brought a new modem BILLION and the problem keeps going. I've tried in two different PC's same problem.

I have a Netgear DGN2200 router/modem and have been having this problem for a while now. Every so often the internet will cut out for roughly 30-60 seconds. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the connection losses and they can happen at any time in the day (overall it seems to occur every hour and a half, although it can vary). When the internet connection is lost, the little "!" triangle appears at the bottom right. I still have wireless access to the router itself. It also occurs on both my wired computer and the wireless computer. On the Netgear itself, the internet light will either flash rapidly green, or sometimes turn red for a short while. The Netgear is plugged via a splitter into the telephone socket. the old neatgear we had did the exact same thing before it finally died and no longer worked at all. Hence why we replaced it with this one. I also rang AOL about the problem, who said that there may be a problem with the line and that we should ring BT about it. We had the line checked and apparently the line was fine and was not the cause of the problem. Things I have tried include changing the router channel and I have tried changing the splitter in case that was faulty. Do you think it could be a DSL problem on AOL's end? It's possible that the drops coincided with a free upgrade they gave us for faster internet, although time-wise I'm not entirely sure.

This is very annoying when i am trying to download a game and do something else. Now this isn't an ISP problem, the internet light is always on for that. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy internet service provider is Optimum Online which is cable. I'm using the Motorola SBV5120 Modem that Optimum supplied, with the Asus RT-N66R Router. I had been using the Netgear WNR2000 until today, and I was fed up with the disconnecting issues.
Although I got the new router, the disconnecting issue is still there. I have a PS3 and a PC connected via Ethernet, and 2 MacBooks, 2 iPads and 4 smartphones connected via wireless, when all of the family members are home. I get disconnected from both wireless and wired when I do have this problem.
Is the number of devices attached to the router a problem? My internet doesn't just slow down, the connection gets lost.
