Videos on other sites work fine but Youtube videos won't play when im using either of my routers. They also work fine connected straight to the modem, i've reset, factory defaults, uninstalled and re-installed Firefox. I've tried other browsers.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLenovo core2duo Desktop XP Pro works OK to internet when hard wired to router.Marvell 88E8057 network card with latest May 2011 drivers on XP. Both a gateway laptop and an HP laptop also work hardwired.When I use a Wireless Access point, it works fine with the laptops. However, when I use the Lenovo desktop connected directly by wire to the WAP, I only get "partial" internet access.I can ping yahoo, I can get a google page. But any "thick" content seems to be blocked.I can't play any youtube videos on the Lenovo via the WAP, or view websites with rich content.I get the youtube page, but it hangs on play. the laptops work wether wired to the router, or wired to the WAP. With any content including youtube.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a EA3500 router and the setup went fine. I have two computers on the network and both have acces to the Internet. But on one of them which runs Windows 7 and MCAfee Antivirus I cannot watch any videos from Youtube. On the other one which runs Windows XP all videos are running great. I've check the firmware version and it is the last one. I've try to disable the firewall in McAfee and it still does not work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have cable @ 15Mbps down, 2Mbps up. The cable line comes into the crawl space in my daylight basement. I have 3 Cat-5 cables running through the house. 1 to the TV downstairs, and then 1 each to 2 bedrooms on the second floor (one of which is my home office). In the home office, this Cat-5 is connected to a 24-port switch. I plug my printer, NAS, computers, etc into this switch.I have a WRT54G2 v1 that I was using as my Router/AP.I have a 1st & 3rd generation iPad. The iPad 3 plays YouTube videos in HD. About 6 weeks ago I started to get slow YouTube video playback on my iPad's. They would play a few seconds, then pause to buffer, etc. It used to be that videos started playing almost immediately and would never buffer.
Using Wifi Analyzer for Android, I noticed my neighborhood is saturated with 2.4Ghz wifi. So, I figured it must be that the 2.4Ghz band is saturdated and if I moved to a 5Ghz band, the YouTube buffering would be fixed.So, I purchased an E4200 (v1 I think) from Amazon. I bought this Router/AP because it supported the 5Ghz band. It also I connected it to my cable modem and setup everything. Still slow YouTube, and now YouTube videos are slow on my laptop (connected via ethernet). I still get ~15Mbps over ethernet or wifi using the speed test page provided by my ISP, but YouTube videos are VERY slow.
I have a Linksys E4200v2 couple days ago. After set up everything seem be working fine, accept my iPhone 4s. I can do almost things on my iPhone, but when I tried streaming video or streaming music from apps on the phone it stared buffering.... play..... and.... stop.... almost every 30s which never happen with my old Linksys E1000. And It happen with my wife's phone too. Even my internet speed is not bad at all (Ping: 24 / Download 23Mbs / Upload 4Mbs). So I can guess that problem from the router. Then I swap the E4200v2 with the E1000, everything works fine (it just a litle bit slower when loading at begin).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was able to play youtube and open the website but last 3-4 days every time i try to open the website it say's "Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.youtube.com...". every other website is opening fine i tryed IExplorer, google chrome and it's the same, scaned for malware, no problems in hosts file, cleared cookies, fixed registry with CCleaner, and still have the problem. My pc info: Win 7 ultimate 32-bit SP1, intel pentium dual cpu E2200, 2.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, with avast anti virus.

I bought a D-Link DIR-655 hoping to get a faster connection over my Netgear WNR2000.I runs mostly fine apart from the occasional freezes and one other problem: youtube video's won't load. I can search and browse youtube, but when I click on the video, the page loads but the video just doesn't load. I can see the play/pause button and the circle telling use the video is loading. Then that's it. Nothing happens. When I plug back my WNR2000, Youtube videos load fine. Same thing on my roommate's laptop. I bought this router over a month ago so I can't return it, spending $80 on a piece of shit like is frustrating when living off a student budget. I'm just about to throw it out the window

It all started when I updated my DIR-655 to the newest firmware 2.07NA because I wanted to have an Open NAT for my PS3 because it was set on Strict and I wasn't able to fix it other than updating my router. Now, Youtube works, but I can't play any videos, it's keep in a infinite loop. And I can't access some sites, such as Google, Youtube Facebook and Yahoo, on my iPad, it just won't load.

I just purchased a Belkin N300 and it's advertised as being able to video chat as well as have two computers connected to it. I can't even watch youtube videos with just one laptop connected because the ads take 5 minutes to load. Is this normal behavior for this router? Do I need to upgrade to be able to Skype?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHD (1920x1080) TV sees and plays all SD mpg (720x576) stored on a Lacie network drive. Now working in HD (1920x1080) and find that the TV does not even see the mpg files, let alone play them. If I convert the HD files to SD they are then visible again. It seems odd that a HD TV cannot see and play HD videos.

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player."
I checked my Internet Explorer options and I do have JavaScript enabled. I also downloaded the latest version of Adobe's Flash Player and then rebooted my laptop. Get the same the message.
I am certain that I have opened them successfully before on this laptop. I've only had it since December 2008 and loaded only MS Office 2007 and the Shield Deluxe 2009 antivirus software on it.
Windows Media Player itself won't play videos or show photo images even, though the Icone and the name of the videos and/or photo images are listed on my TV but after the thing goes round and a round it just says "There is nothing to dsiplay or something like that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a WRK54G v2 connected to a Ubee cable modem, and when my computer, connected with wifi or ethernet, tries to play a Youtube video, the actual webpage loads fine but the spinning dots in the player remain for several minutes before the video starts to load. If the video has to buffer again in the middle of playback, it also takes several minutes to start again. When the computer is connected directly to the cable modem, everything works fine. Youtube is the only site I am having an issue with, other video streaming sites like Vimeo work fine.

If one of the machines is in the DMZ on the router it doesn't disconnect when the other two do. I've turned the router firewall off and this does nothing to work. Can I just forward all the appropriate ports to ALL of the computers?

Text loads fast, but images take several minutes, and for videos - forget about it, takes at least 15 minutes to load even a 2 minute video. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 877 ADSL router which won't let me play with my VPNs like I used to in pre-Cisco days.I have a VPN server which resides on the inside of the network which used to get it's L2TP as well as PPTP tunnels passed straight through the ADSL router. No problems there with the old router.Now I opened the relevant ports for both TCP and UDP on the 877, but VPN simply won't establish when trying to connect from the outside. Process of getting the 877 to stop wanting to take charge of things VPN and just pass them off to an inside server?
I need to VPN into my work from my laptop on the private side of the 877. This works fine until after authentication, then the VPN connection goes silent, no traffic going through. Works fine when for instance using my iphone hotspot to connect through from my laptop. It's only not working when the 877 is in the equation.
I have been trying to connect to an online radio station, a shoutcast. I am unable to do this when connected to my EA3500. I do not think it is a port issue since I can connect to a different station using the same port. I can listen to many other shoutcast streams with no problems.
A friend with an older Linksys router is able to connect to the station with no problems.
I have turned off the ipv4 firewall, ipv6 firewall. I've tried DMZ, port triggering, forwarding. Still the stream will not play. I use the Winamp player, Windows Media player, Real player. All the other shoutcast streams I have tried work, but not the one I need to work.
If I bypass the router it works fine on any of my 4 pc desktops, 4 laptops. My iphone using the winamp app can not get the stream if using the wirless, but can if I turn off wirless and use 3G.

Since I've bought a new Cisco router last summer,, a Linksys E1200 (v.1 updated...) (always in the wireless mode), my laptop (Sony, Vaio VGN-NW110D) freezes when I stream videos online or when I use skype video calls. It sometimes freezes for a few minutes (in that case it's just really extremely slow and it sounds like a satanic robot), and then comes back (but does it again a few minutes later. Or sometimes, and this is more frequent with skype video calls, it completely freezes, and I have to reboot the hard way...This never happened to me before and I've been watching videos and video skyping for years. I have windows 7, service pack 1 (32 bits) now . I have windows 7 now, since about the same time I bought the router. But what makes me think its related to the router is that when I'm at work, or at my parents, or sisters, or boyfriend's house, this problem does NOT occure.... I don't know if this information could be relevant, but this does not happen when I make videos calls with skype on my iphone.

Type in facebook and you get an invalid URL and would have to reset the router to get it to work. Now I bought a new Cisco router and am regretting it. The n900 was a pretty penny and now ALL my videos are always buffering. I have several computers connected, but not active. The internet is painfully slow with the new router, but lightning fast with out it.
Currently using my laptop secuirty settings are IPv6/ and 4 SPI Firewall Protection: Enabled WPA2/WPA mixed mode.
I have tried everything: Rebooting, up to date firmware, resetting, What should I do next? Disable some of its advanced features? Cisco is earning a bad rap with me if a router that boasts high internet speeds makes all my videos buffer and load painfully slow. Let alone getting through all the commercials on the internet now.
my ea3500 has problems with youtube videos. When i click to start a video, sometimes it starts but after a very long buffering time (more than 8-10 seconds), sometimes it does-not at all some other time, the advertisement play but nothing happens after that (black screen). I have a fast internet access (30 MB up, 2 Mb down). I do not have this problem with the old router that the ea3500 is replacing ( a netgear wndr3700). On this old router al the videos are starting almost instantly.
I tried to lower the MTU of the 3500 from the default 1500 to 1400. No improvement. I tried to disable the WMM feature in QOS and by doing so i create another problem : i cannot access the 5 Ghz band anymore. I can see the SSID but cannot connect to it.

I have a problem with the combination of the TP Link router and a samsung smart tv (Samsung UE46ES6300). Every thing works fine, but I can't show videos or images from a usb-hdd connected to the router (Media server is started)I can access the files with my windows pc and windows media-player. AND I can view content on the usb-hdd connected to the router, over allshareplay for windows and send it to the tv.But I want to show videos on the usb-hdd without my pc. I see the TP-Link Router as a source on allshareplay on the tv. When I click on it, there is a error message, that the request can't be executed.
