Having problems with the E1200 when it comes to loading images and vidoes. Text loads fast, but images take several minutes, and for videos - forget about it, takes at least 15 minutes to load even a 2 minute video. I've changed MHz settings and several other settings, but nothing seems to have worked.
View 1 RepliesI noticed my tumblr dashboard was loading corrupted thumbnails. I first thought that tumblr was having problems, until it started happening on my deviantArt, and YouTube. I was worried that it was my computer, but then the same thing started happening on my moms' Macbook, and then her Wi-Fi streaming television started corrupting the video. And then, sometimes a website won't load fully, but will instead load part of it's code, or instead my browser (I've tried on Google Chrome, Firefox and IE) tells me the webpage is unavailable, or doesn't exist. It'll load up semi-properly (with the corrupted images still) after a refresh or two, but it's tiring and worrisome.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I've bought a new Cisco router last summer,, a Linksys E1200 (v.1 updated...) (always in the wireless mode), my laptop (Sony, Vaio VGN-NW110D) freezes when I stream videos online or when I use skype video calls. It sometimes freezes for a few minutes (in that case it's just really extremely slow and it sounds like a satanic robot), and then comes back (but does it again a few minutes later. Or sometimes, and this is more frequent with skype video calls, it completely freezes, and I have to reboot the hard way...This never happened to me before and I've been watching videos and video skyping for years. I have windows 7, service pack 1 (32 bits) now . I have windows 7 now, since about the same time I bought the router. But what makes me think its related to the router is that when I'm at work, or at my parents, or sisters, or boyfriend's house, this problem does NOT occure.... I don't know if this information could be relevant, but this does not happen when I make videos calls with skype on my iphone.

I have a problem with the combination of the TP Link router and a samsung smart tv (Samsung UE46ES6300). Every thing works fine, but I can't show videos or images from a usb-hdd connected to the router (Media server is started)I can access the files with my windows pc and windows media-player. AND I can view content on the usb-hdd connected to the router, over allshareplay for windows and send it to the tv.But I want to show videos on the usb-hdd without my pc. I see the TP-Link Router as a source on allshareplay on the tv. When I click on it, there is a error message, that the request can't be executed.
I have a CT2504 at a customer site which does not load the captive portal page correctly nor will it load via HTTP as opposed to HTTPS.So for starters I did what I do with all my CT2504's (which work fine), I configured my Guest network to authenticate via the default captive portal. I then disabled HTTPS and SSH and enabled HTTP managment followed by rebooting the controller. On boot, logging into the WLC management GUI is automatically presented via HTTP as expected.However when clients access the Guest network they are redirected to the Web Authorisation via HTTPS instead of HTTP?In addtion to the above the captive portal page does not display correctly.The preview via the controller works fine, but the client is presented with a page with broken links to the images i.e. the blue strip at the top and the Cisco logo on the right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I load a gallery of images or even when I open up a couple of websites, sometimes the image/website won't load and is perpetually loading, only to time out minutes later.I've tried out different browsers (Chrome, Firefox) on my wired desktop and tried this on my Laptop through WiFi with the same two browsers. The result was the same each time. So it's not about faulty computer hardware, software or malware on the machines. [code] When I ran a Speedtest.net test, this weird issue happened on the end-result screen. Normally when you do a test there, you can share/compare etc. But for me, that content did not appear.On Reddit I browsed a couple of ragecomics for my leisure and then some of the img.ur hosted images won't load. I know this issue still exists, because I use Randomly ordered wallpapers / Wallbase.cc to test out the case. By using this link, you're presented with a bunch of random thumbnails. So I scroll down and keep loading thumbnails as fast the website and I can endure. But at one point, it will stop at a random thumbnail, load the first 20% of the image and freeze. Or it will load 20%, freeze, and continue loading the rest. I also tried this out by opening wallpapers, closing them with CTRL+W, repeating this process until one of them refused to load, but when I refreshed the browser it would magically load the image.
I have reset my modem and my router, the router has been restored to factory defaults. So I'm clueless on what could be the cause of this weird issue. Nothing in the LAN has changed, this started about a week ago. I've narrowed it down to the router, but there's nothing in the settings that would cause this behaviour.
My router usb storege was working fine with my old videos and streaming fine too but now im putting some new videos on the usb storage my router its not showing the new videos on the usb storage.

But on one of them which runs Windows 7 and MCAfee Antivirus I cannot watch any videos from Youtube. On the other one which runs Windows XP all videos are running great. I've check the firmware version and it is the last one. I've try to disable the firewall in McAfee and it still does not work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have cable @ 15Mbps down, 2Mbps up. The cable line comes into the crawl space in my daylight basement. I have 3 Cat-5 cables running through the house. 1 to the TV downstairs, and then 1 each to 2 bedrooms on the second floor (one of which is my home office). In the home office, this Cat-5 is connected to a 24-port switch. I plug my printer, NAS, computers, etc into this switch.I have a WRT54G2 v1 that I was using as my Router/AP.I have a 1st & 3rd generation iPad. The iPad 3 plays YouTube videos in HD. About 6 weeks ago I started to get slow YouTube video playback on my iPad's. They would play a few seconds, then pause to buffer, etc. It used to be that videos started playing almost immediately and would never buffer.
Using Wifi Analyzer for Android, I noticed my neighborhood is saturated with 2.4Ghz wifi. So, I figured it must be that the 2.4Ghz band is saturdated and if I moved to a 5Ghz band, the YouTube buffering would be fixed.So, I purchased an E4200 (v1 I think) from Amazon. I bought this Router/AP because it supported the 5Ghz band. It also I connected it to my cable modem and setup everything. Still slow YouTube, and now YouTube videos are slow on my laptop (connected via ethernet). I still get ~15Mbps over ethernet or wifi using the speed test page provided by my ISP, but YouTube videos are VERY slow.
I recently upgraded my router because my last cisco router was having a misdirect issue. Type in facebook and you get an invalid URL and would have to reset the router to get it to work. Now I bought a new Cisco router and am regretting it. The n900 was a pretty penny and now ALL my videos are always buffering. I have several computers connected, but not active. The internet is painfully slow with the new router, but lightning fast with out it.
Currently using my laptop secuirty settings are IPv6/ and 4 SPI Firewall Protection: Enabled WPA2/WPA mixed mode.
I have tried everything: Rebooting, up to date firmware, resetting, What should I do next? Disable some of its advanced features? Cisco is earning a bad rap with me if a router that boasts high internet speeds makes all my videos buffer and load painfully slow. Let alone getting through all the commercials on the internet now.

Text does not load.The graphics load okay, and the dropdown boxes, checkboxes, etc. Since many of the links are from text, and all of the descriptions, it is impossible to navigate properly. I managed only by using Firefox's Page Info, Links tab and cutting & pasting. A couple of screen captures are available [URL] have downloaded the latest firmware, but while I can get to the Administration page, much less click on, the Upgrade Firmware sub-tab.

Anyway, a glaring, and obnoxious problem I am having is everytime I load a page for the router(192.168.1.1), it does not completely load and I have to hit refresh.Now when I try to change the router settings from DHCP to PPPoE, it reloads the page, for whatever reason, and because this router wants to be irritating, it only half loads the page, so I cannot click the "save settings" button.This is what has been done to the router after being reset(red button on the back held in for 10 sec):I turned on the modem, and plugged directly in to make sure I had internet connection.I plugged the modem's ethernet into the "Internet" port on the wireless router.And finally, I plug an ethernet cable from my computer to the 1st port on the wireless router.Nothing else has been changed. I have not turned on any ridiculous settings. This half-loading router pages is driving me up the wall though. I cannot even troubleshoot the wireless connectivity because I cannot make any changes.

Ican connect wirelessly to guest network no problem but it will not connect to the secured network using the correct security key (password).

When some one at home using internet I can commetc to the router using remote management. But when everybody out and no internet users at home I cannot connect to the router. I checked with other router from linksys (old one WAG45G or something like this) and it was the same. But it works great whith TP-Link routers.

I have successfully connected the wireless to my laptop and have a guest network that has been tested and works as well. I bought a Sharp Blu Ray player that has wireless capability connected to the TV with HDMI cable and the LAN adapter is in the player. When I had the Blu Ray downstairs I had it connected to the LINKsys thru an ethernet cable and didn't use the adapter, but I wanted to take it upstairs and use it on that TV. CANNOT establish an internet connection?

I set a password for the web interface then it boots me out and I am promted for the password and username.I don't want to download and configure my router with some poorly written software for my mac; why can't I just do it all through the good old web interface???? I'm able to set everything else up fine but when i set the password I am basically rendering the web interface usless and have to reset the router!! I set my router to allow my xbox360's mac address, not knowing that it would kick out all of my other devices. So now I can't access my own router and I need to reset it. View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced my broken modem with a new Motorola 3360 as recommended by my ISP. The new modem works fine connected directly to my PC. When connecting the modem to the Cisco E1200 router, the same one I had with the older modem, the E1200 says I'm not connected to the PC. I've triple checked the wired connections from the modem to the router and then to the PC. I've swapped out cables and verified that they all work when used directly from the modem to the PC. I'm thinking some settings from the old Westell modem are messing with the connectivity of the new E1200 router.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm having connection issues requiring frequent reboots of my router. it starts with internet slowdown to a crawl, then it times out and lastly the webinterface is not even responding when i try to access it to reboot. Requiring me to manually unplug. this happens once a day atleast.
Sometimes it recovers after a few minutes and get on the net.i've tried flashing, reflashing, re-reflashing , resetting , re-resetting, to no end. And all the usual tricks tech support ask to do.

I have been attempting to set up a linksys wireless-n e1200 router on my hp p6-2007c (Windows 7 SP1, 64-bit) desktop pc for the last day and have exhausted everything i can think of. The previous router was a linksys WRT54G and it worked fine. However, upon setting up this new router i get a "no internet access" message accompanied by the little yellow triangle and the ability to still connect to my router via its ip address to alter its configuration. The connection status for the network and the internet is identical for all the laptops in my house. I originally attempted setting up the router using Cisco's setup program. At its conclusion, the setup program informs me that i am connected to the router, but my internet connection has been lost (even though it was never there) I have tried starting over from scratch by resetting the router back to its default settings and using a variety of different channels (Auto, 1, 6, and 11), frequencies, etc. I have uninstalled norton antivirus, disarmed the windows security programs, made sure of TCP/IP settings, rolled back, uninstalled, and finally updated firmware, uninstalled/reinstalled driver for wireless card, disabled/enabled the card itself, deleted all other previous network profiles still present in the "Manage Wireless Networks" screen, and probably some other suggestions i came across in this forum. They all failed with the same results, i.e. the ability to connect to the network locally and having no internet access.

The regular (non-guest) account works as advertised. The E1200 is connected to my Verizon modem/router. I have tried disable/enable of DHCP on the E1200; I have tried setting the E1200 Static DNS 1 to my Verizon router IP address without success.
