It's' my first router (E 2500) one desk top and two laptop and also a Ipad connected, every thing look fine exept for the Ipad.Lots of page not fully loading, I have to reload couples of time to get it full load. and lots of Youtube video said not presently availale but work fine with laptop or desktop.Did not change any seting on the router, I just plug it and used it
View 9 RepliesI have on Desktop wired to the router which is my main pc. When I access internet the website load really slow, but when I connect the pc directly to Comcast modem, it's blitz fast. My internet speed is 15 Mbps. I have another desktop and laptop. None of them have the problem. What settings I have to change to get back to speed I used to have before.I messed up some settings on the Cisco Connect and accidentally reset the router. After re-installing the router the problem started.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi just bought a 5508 wireless controller that was delivered yesterday .I powered it on yesterday and was able to make basic configurations of management interface ,time and zone settings.I was also able to get to the GUi and console after the configs and it was alright. When I got in this morning it ran for about 2 hours and all of a sudden starts shutting down after every % minutes and comes back again.

Internet still works. PC is connected directly to router. Tried different port on router. Tried installing CiscoConnect.E2500.1.4.11299.0,0, but it fails saying there is no router connected to PC. Like I said I am on the PC now, wired to router and have internet access via cable modem connected to router. I can see my ireless printer on the network also..
I have a HG-521 router which is syncing at 8724kbps, but it is slow loading pages. My isp is talktalk .

We have an SLM248G switch which seems to be giving a few problems. When attempting to access the switch, the admin page loads but after logging-in, the admin portal page does not load fully, see screenshot.
Even after a factory reset (reset button held), the issue continues. Is there any other workaround for completely resetting everything?
When my wife gets chemo, we spend the day at the hospital, and I login to their WiFi as a guest. When I do, I make a connection with no problem, but after the initial page comes up, additional pages load very, very slowly regardless of what browser I use (Chrome, Firefox, or IE). I don't have that problem on any other network. Moreover, other users on that same hospital network can login as guests without encountering that problem. So, the problem is not browser-related, and it occurs only when a single laptop connects to a specific network. I'm using a Dell XPS 16, running Windows 7 Pro with Windows Firewall.

I can access Facebook from my work computer. I am using Firefox on both. I only use wifi as I only have a laptop and my router is in my office. I can access Facebook on my phone with my wifi enabled. I have not tried a direct wired connection (will try that next and let you know what happens) as I don't use my office, because it's currently full of junk.

And still no access. The only way I have been able to access Facebook is by turning the firewall off on my wireless router (Belkin Wireless G). I don't want to have to turn the firewall off just to go on facebook. I am the only person in the house who uses a computer and the internet. So settings have not been changed, because I am the only person with access to change them (password protected wireless network as well).
I'm performing a migration from an ASA5520 running version 8.04 to an ASA5525-X running 8.6.
The issue I had was that whilst all of the SSL VPN portal configuration was migrated the initial portal page does does not load. I thought that this could be to do with ASDM and WebVPN both being enabled on the outside interface and so I tried changing the port used for ASDM and disabled the ASDM altogether on the outside - but still to no avail.
Could this have something to do with the fact that you can no longer just point your browser at the outside interface of the firewall to get to the ADSM? Does some configuration need to change for the ASA to accept connections on the outside interface?

Just purchased a SG300-52 and am trying to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.2 but cannot get the Upgrade/Backup Firmware Language page to load in the web browser interface. I have tried IE 8 and 9, Firefox 3.16 and 10.02, and Chrome from Windows 7 and XP Pro systems also tried FF and Chrome from Ubuntu system. The page just never loads - doesn't show anything.The same is true of the Download/Backup/Configuration/Log page. The other links under Administration > File Management seem to work fine.

Text loads fast, but images take several minutes, and for videos - forget about it, takes at least 15 minutes to load even a 2 minute video. Text does not load.The graphics load okay, and the dropdown boxes, checkboxes, etc. Since many of the links are from text, and all of the descriptions, it is impossible to navigate properly. Anyway, a glaring, and obnoxious problem I am having is everytime I load a page for the router(192.168.1.1), it does not completely load and I have to hit refresh.Now when I try to change the router settings from DHCP to PPPoE, it reloads the page, for whatever reason, and because this router wants to be irritating, it only half loads the page, so I cannot click the "save settings" button.This is what has been done to the router after being reset(red button on the back held in for 10 sec):I turned on the modem, and plugged directly in to make sure I had internet connection.I plugged the modem's ethernet into the "Internet" port on the wireless router.And finally, I plug an ethernet cable from my computer to the 1st port on the wireless router.Nothing else has been changed. I have not turned on any ridiculous settings. This half-loading router pages is driving me up the wall though. I cannot even troubleshoot the wireless connectivity because I cannot make any changes.

I have about 20 devices which i'm allowing to access my router, so i keyed in the MAC addresses into the config page and save setting. But only 16 addresses are registered, the rest refused to register no matter how many times i key in, it just reset back to 00:00:00:00:00:00 after i click on save setting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI previously entered in settings for the "Static DNS" 1 through 3 (using ip addresses from OpenDNS and one from Google DNS).
I want to remove these so the router reverts to using the DNS allocated to it by the ADSL modem (which will likely be the IP of the modem, which then forwards the requests to the DNS from the ISP).But I can't clear the Static DNS settings. I have to put in 0.0.0.0 but the last zero is not accessed. I get the error: The value is out of range [1 - 254].So I end up with 0.0.0.1 and then all Internet access is lost on the computers because they are being given a bad DNS IP.
How can I reset the static DNS ip address back to 0.0.0.0 ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to add my E2500 as a second wireless router to cover my entire house.I have a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580 cable modem (Time-Warner) at one end of the house.I added via powerline Ethernet connection a new E2500 wireless router at the other end of the house.The E2500 set-up with all defaults and has the same SSID and Password as the Surfboard cable modem.It seems to work OK, but I wonder about network confusion/interference.Do I have to configure the E2500 in some manner to allow seamless roaming of my wireless devices (iPad, Cell Phones, Netbook)?I had an RE1000 with just the Surfboard, but it did not quite do the trick, and does not like both routers connected at either end.

The E2500 has an LAN IP of 10.0.0.2 and the router has 10.0.0.1 and a dhcp range outside of these. DHCP is disabled on the E2500. I can use my E2500 as a wired access point with no difficulty I plug something in and it calls the router and gets an address, but I can not get DHCP through the wireless of the E2500.

My internet was disconnecting sporadically. After connecting the new router, a started getting the same issue. I replaced my internet cable modem to a Cisco 2100 modem (provided by Time Warner). I noticed that the issue keeps happening sporadically which makes me believe it is my Linksys router. Every time a new wireless connection is connected, my modem circuit dies. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working with vpn setups for the first time. I would like to be able to connect to a computer on a home network through a linksys E2500 router. I have found alot of documentation on connecting to an external vpn from a computer on the lan side of the router, but nothing on connecting from the outside in. The router does have a static ip address with my internet provider, so I can contact the router from the outside. But makeing the connection to the computer on the other side of the router is where I am missing something or I dont realize that it is not possible. On the LAN side I am using DHCP to assign the address to the computer I want to connect to. Perhaps I need to make it have a static address also? I realize that when I configure the connection from the outside that I need to direct the connection to the remote computer in some way, unless vpn connections are fully passed through the router and the connection issue I am having is with the "inside" computer.

It happens that i am not able to setup the configurations to make this work (This router does not supported by my ISP provider).
I have an E2500 configured inside my network. It is configured to give wireless PCs (This subnet is connected to a Lan port with 10.30.0.0 address) another subnet than wired PCs (this subnet is connected to Wan port 192.168.0.0). Since i configured i can access from wireless PCs to servers and PCs in the wired subnet but cannot access from wired computers from to wireless PCs. I suppouse it is because traffic is restricted from Wan to Lan.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a E2500 connected via LAN to my network via a switch or hub through a sonic wall and into the modem out to the internet. The problem is that I am only getting +/- 5Mpbs Down and +/-7 Mbps up through the router.
If I connect my computer to the network with out going through the router my speeds are more in the range of +/-28 Mbps down and 16Mbps up. I have been working with Linksys support but they have not been able to assist me with this yet! Is there any configuring I should be doing at the firewall or to the router to tell it to open up the port for faster speeds?
