My HP laptop's wireless does not detect my home wireless network.The wireless is on, there is internet connectivity and other devices at my house detect the network but not my laptop. i hve already spent so much of time in finding out the problem.The driver for the wireless is installed and updated.The service is running. Checked the Wireless Zero Configuration.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Alienware M17 R3 laptop with the 1103 wireless card running windows 7. Until recently I have not had reason to use the Wi-Fi, though when I enabled the card I found that I could not detect any nearby networks.
I have checked the device manager for errors and have found none. I have noticed that the BigFoot connenction manager does not seem to detect the network card.
Should I reinstall the card driver and the BigFoot helper?
What software might conflict with the wi-fi card? What services should I check to make they are running?
A couple of weeks ago, my laptop (vista) suddenly started not detecting any wireless networks anymore. Wired internet still works. Wireless suddenly went 'poof'.Since then, I tried basically everything. I rebooted the wireless adapter, rebooted laptop, the network is most definately in range of the laptop, updated the driver and all didn't work. Yes, the adapter is turned on, obviously. When I look into device manager, there are yellow exclamation marks next to the microsoft 6to4 adapter and the ISATAP adapter, so I also tried updating those. Didn't do anything. They still show a code 10. So i disabled both of them, also didn't work. I deleted and reinstalled both too. I even tried disabling 6to4 in the bios but didn't work.Device manager says my Intel (R) wifi Link 5100 AGN adapter works perfectly. Also updated it, un- and reinstalled it => no effect.
Though, even without those exclamation marks, i'm pretty sure my network doesn't send out much ip6 stuff, so it should still work... But it's not just my network at home, it simply won't detect any wireless networks anymore.Also tried windows recovery to put it back in the state before it wouldn't work anymore, but no effect.
I have a Dell XPS L401 with Windows 8 PRO. My laptop is not able to detect any wireless networks even when my Wireless Switch is On.

Now my problem started happening after my desktop computer got unplugged. When I booted back up, I was unable to connect to my access point. Or find any of the other networks it can always see. I took my laptop and set up an ad hoc network and it came right up. The wireless access point has not been changed and it is perfectly fine. I've updated the drivers from Ralink, nothing. Uninstalled and rebooted, nothing. Checked the BIOS for any settings, nothing. Made sure the radio was turned on, nothing.

i received a dell latitude D610 and installed the operating system and the drivers, when i open the network adapters in device manager it says i have the Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx gigabit controller. when i try to connect to the internet with a cable it works fine but it wont let me detect wireless networks or if i unplug the cable an error pops up saying A network cable is unplugged i dont know if i have the right driver(s) installed.

Once it was done, I tried connecting to the internet but the computer could not detect ANY wireless networks!I already know it is not the modem or router because I have a Macbook Pro and two HP laptops that connect perfectly fine to the modem. I also made sure the wireless is on. The laptop with the problem is a Toshiba Satellite l645. It's running on a 64-bit Windows 7. When I try to look up wireless networks, it only shows 'MOBILE BROADBAND CONNECTION".

A couple hours ago I installed AVG free antivirus and pc-cleanup and decided to uninstall them after seeing poor results. When I rebooted my computer, I was unable to, and still am, to find any wireless networks. I've tried disabling Microsoft firewall and restoring but everything has failed.

It would stopped connecting and then I would have to connect it again via password..but now it has done it! This dam laptop. Anyways, there are two computers in my house and they can connect to the internet through the Ethernet cable. My laptop can also connect the internet through the ether net cable too..but that really beats the purpose of having a laptop if it's not mobile.

My wireless IS on, and my mother's IPad uses the same router as my laptop does for internet and she gets internet with no problem, so it's not the router. I've tried rebooting the computer, disabling and reinabling the wireless, shutting down the computer for the night and trying in the morning, and none of these things worked.

It detects all other available networks (around my home) but not the one at home. All other devices (other laptop, my iphone) are successfully connected to the network. View 1 Replies View Relatedwe recently upgraded our home router and have been having trouble ever since. Our old router was a Netgear one, so we bought a newer netgear model. Since installing the new one we can not get my daughters laptop, an iPad and ipods to work on the wifi. My computer is wired into the router and works fine, it is just the wireless. All of these things worked perfectly using our old netgear wirelss modem and all of them can find the wireless network on their list of available networks, they all say that they are connected with a good signal, but when they try to browse the internet or check emails, it comes up saying not connected to the internet. We even bought a range extender because we thought the signal might not be strong enough between the new router and my daughters bedroom which are at opposite ends of the house and on different floors, but it made no difference and wasn't a problem before.
Anyway, the router we bought is a Netgear N150 wireless modem router DGN1000, the cables are plugged in to ports 1 and 4 ( there is only 1,2,3 and 4 to choose from). The extender is a Netgear universal range extender WN2000RPT
I have tried turning it all off and back on again, have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but still nothing. Daughters laptop uses Vista and she has McAfee security. Exactly as it has always been and has worked fine using our old wireless router, just not this new one.
For the past few days my laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-CR353) suddenly unable to detect/find my home wireless network but my other devices (ipad2/ipod) can detect my own wireless network. My laptop can however still can detect my neighbours' wireless network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm living in Australia for a few months and my accommodation does not have a phone line, so I've been using mobile broadband dongles instead. This worked fine until recently, when I abruptly became unable to access the internet. The laptop recognises the dongle and seems to connect, but the download/upload speeds are at a constant zero bytes per second (I have tried to ping Google while 'connected' but received no response). I have tried two dongles from Dodo and one from Telstra, with the same results. Initially, I assumed that this was simply due to signal strength, but each of the three dongles I have tested work fine on another laptop in the same location (I'm using one of them to post this). I have also tried using the dongles with my laptop in other locations, including the city centre, but with no success.
Also, I seem to be unable to connect to any wireless networks (e.g. McDonalds wifi) - the laptop detects the network ok, and seems to be connected, but I am unable to access any web pages etc. In the Network and Sharing Centre, the laptop is connected with the wifi network, but the wifi network does not seem to be connected to the internet. I have suddenly started having issues recognising and connecting to a wireless network at home on my laptop. We have 2 wireless networks at home as we use an additional D-Link router through the powerlines. (DHP-W307AV PowerLine Homeplug AV Wireless N Starter Kit)I used to be able to connect to both but now I can just connect to the main wireless router. Other laptops and smart phones in the house can connect to both. I was wondering if this had anything to do with Norton 360 so I have used their removal tool to get rid of it. Unfortunately I still can't connect to the second network.
