Trying to access my corporate VPN. My laptop can successfully VPN in anytime I'm on the road, but not through my WRT54gx at home. I've enabled the VPN pass through but my expertise ends there.
View 1 RepliesI have a Linksys EA4500 setup on my corporate network for wireless access. I have enabled the guest network and from all I can tell it's on a seperate subnet from my internal network like it should be. 192.168.x.x My internal is on a 10.x.x.x network. I conenct to the guest network using a laptop and I'm prompted for a password to get to the internet, which I like. The one issue I'm seeing is when I'm connected to the guest network I can still do an RDP session to internal resources. How is this possible if the guest network is on a seperate subnet?I take a laptop which has not been joined to my domain, connect to the guest ssid, and then open an RPD session and enter an IP address for an internal server and it connects. Is there a setting to keep this from happening

The power LED is blinking and the DMZ LED is off. I can not access to WEB GUI anymore and after many times reseting also pinging the router IP 192.168.1.1 there is no respond from the router. I had the Netgear working great as an extender with my Apple Airport Extreme base station (equipped with WDS). As far as I know, the Linksys is not equipped with WDS.

Read what others are saying and believe it.I even tried just using 2.4, split between 2.4 and 5. no better in any combination.I have to admit I do like the configuration screen.

But since this morning i'm losing my wired connection after about 10 sec og connectivity, can't even ping it when it drops. If i turn it off for 10 sec the same problem occurs. Tried both static ip and dhcp. Wireless doesn't work either.

I checked the Cisco website for the firmware update and it says the download is no longer available. I am on firmware 1.02.06. Does someone have a newer version? I'm hoping a firmware update will resolve this issue.

I updated the firmware to the latest version and updated the settings.My problem is that I can't connect to the internet using wireless. Somethimes he connect for a moment. The only thing i can do is entering the webpage of the router. Windows 7 says that there is a problem with DNS. Every thing works fine for wired.

I have used vlan 1 but looks like i have to bvi1 if i need to use the wireless,what is the difference between bvi and vlan. if i wanted users on the same vlan and wireless what would be the base config ? at the moment all corporate traffic goes to site A and other traffic goes to internet. now would i be able to create two ssid, one for corporate to access corporate subnets and the other for guest access alone where the traffic goes out to the internet.

Scenario 1: I am using Samsung Bada (wave 1), connected to the internet successfully and also any applications that require an internet connection including Samsung's app store. While, connecting via open networks like home wifi and other friends' wifi also worked without any issue. Scenario 2: Now I also have an android based Galaxy pocket: even after entering all the required proxy setting as mentioned above, I can access websites via browser but cannot access samsung's app store, google's play store, skype, sipdroid etc. I know it is nothing to do with the network administration as I am still accessing via my samsung wave but not via android. Is there anything like a network profile I need to assign for these applications?

He wants to connect one to the internet in a home. The other would go out to his shop and he would like to get the internet out there too. He would also like to access the internet wirelessly with a laptop at either end. He has a wireless laptop setup and it works. The shop is line of sight with the home with no obstacles. A wire will not be able to connect one wireless router with the other due to terrain features. His laptop can get the internet from the Linksys (the Linksys is set up in the home) while he is in part of the shop, and he is trying to increase the range so that he can move to another part of the shop.

When we try to access the SSLVPN website to download the launcher (you have to download the VPN launcher everytime for our configuration), you can log in and that's fine, and then you can click on the VPN Tunnel link, a popup shows up but it doesn't actually download the launcher. Solutions we've tried so far:
1) Reinstalling C++ Redistirbutable
2) Adding the site to trusted sites and allowing unsigned ActiveX controls
3) Removing all internet objects through internet options.
Is there anything else we can try?

I am using CCP and seem to have several options including Easy VPN server, SSL VPN. I also can choose "Full Tunnel" or not.I have a 2911 router. I have a static range of internet IP addresses. The router is already functioning with inside to outside and outside to inside NAT, etc.

I have the unfortunate experience of persistent connection issues with my Comcast cable internet. Periodically (sometimes several times in an hour) my connection dies, and then resumes within a minute or two. It is not a long downtime but it is long enough to disrupt whatever I happen to be doing on the internet (Skype, messaging, online gaming, uploading, downloading, etc.) which can be very irritating. I know enough about computers that I've built several of my own machines, but I am no expert in networking by a long shot...
Here are my internet specs: Comcast broadband with RCA DHG535-2 cable modem plugged into a wireless Linksys router model WRT54GX.
I know the connection issues don't lie with my wireless card because I have two computers and they both drop at the same time. The issue HAS to be either the router or modem (or Comcast), but from all the other posts I've read of similar issues, I suspect it might be the modem.
One of my customers asked me to configure a WLC 2106 and 2 LAP 1131AG (lightweight) for corporate/guest Wifi. Basically they want to implement a good wifi connection for internal use and a guest one with different QoS. The two lans should both have dhcp but they must bet kept segregated so that none from the Guest wifi can access corporate resources.
Since i've never configured a WLC from scrath i lightly supposed it would be quite straigh forward as routers and switches from Cisco.Unfortunately i was totally wrong.
I've downloaded the "Cisco Wireless LAN ControllerConfiguration Guide" (Soft.Release 6.0 June 2009) and after i red it i made up this workflow
for the configurations:
1) Configure Controller: (via serial)
- Set Management Interface parameters (IP- SM - Def GW - Dhcp server IP)
- Set Ap-Manager Interface parameters
- Virtual Interface parameters
- Set Admin Credentials
- Dhcp Configuration (internal and/or external)
2) Ap registration on the controller
- Configure vlan with dhcp request redirection to the dhcp server
3) Configure Wlan following customer's requests.
- Configure Wlan Auth for Corporate/Guest Wifi
- Configure QoS for both Wlans

After a period of time the entire house goes off line. I have to reboot the power on e2000 router and then disable the access restrictions. System then works. Problem is repeatable. What is the deal. I can connect just fine if I bypass the router and connect to the modem. I also have no problem if I go to places like Subway. There is no problem with the wireless internet connection, only a problem when I try to connect to corporate through the VPN.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI need information about the Aironet 600 access point.I got a customer who want to deploy a guest WLAN on branch office with an authentication with a captive portal that is centralized. I would like to use the OfficeExtend functionnality with Aironet 600 Acces point & WLC 5508 or 2504 to centralize the traffic from all access points on the controller.
On those branch offices, there were a few "free access desktops" that need a copper link. I want those devices to be also authenticated by captive portal, so I want to connect them on the four 10/100 port of the access point. But it seems that we can only use one port as "corporate remote LAN", the threee others are just for "home LAN". Is it correct ? Is there any solution to configure the four ports as remote LAN interface ?
My company uses an ASA 5520 to authenticate VPN using the Anyconnect client. We would like to deploy a second authentication method such as Host Scan (CSD.) Our ASA is currently running on a "Plus" license. As I understand CSD will only work with "Premium?" If this is correct are there other options for two part authentication? We're also considering using FOBs and have ruled out using the NAC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLooking for routing with an SA540 router connecting to corporate VPN.We have an odd configuration that is beyond the scope of what I have configured previously with these devices..I am trying to configure the routing to the additional IP addresses listed for the HQ. The VPN tunnel between the .26.120.x and the .17.0.0 networks is built however it does not appear to be routing. The Cisco administrator at the HQ site says that they have "fully configured the routing" from all the listed IP addresses back through the VPN tunnel. The options I am unsure of for configuration of the SA540 router are: GW - I believe that I use the internal IP address of the 17.26.120.x router.Is this logical since the VPN tunnel. We are using NAT for the firewall internally.The existing 3 172.26.x.x VPN tunnels are live and working and fully routing between themselves.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can connect to my router but either way it seems like i can't get any internet access (both wireless and by cable): url...I have tried the steps that the linksys FAQ suggests shall fix this problem, but this has not worked. I have also tried to reset the router without any luck. I know it its not the modem that is causing the problem because I'm wired to it now.On the E2000 every light is blinking as it should be (hence the FAQ) so it indicates that there might be a problem with the connection between the router and the computer (tested on other computers too without success).
