This past weekend I went out of town and took my Windows 7 laptop with me -- since I returned home, it has been unable to connect to my wireless network. Other devices in my home connect to the network just fine, and the problem laptop has always been fine until now. My network card is an Atheros AR9285, and I'm attempting to connect to a Medialink router with WPA password protection and AES encryption. My wireless network icon in the task bar has a yellow sign with an exclamation point in it. It says "No Internet access."

I've got my network up an running and all my devices (wired computer, wireless PS3, wireless smartphone, etc..) can connect to the network except for one of my wireless computers. I've set the TCP/IP to obtain IP automatically and using the correct PPPOE username/pass I try to connect, but it never works.

I'm having problems connecting to our wireless network. With my old PC in the same room in the house I've had it connected before, about a year ago. With my new computer though, I'm having issue after issue.

I have access to a wireless network, but when I try to connect my laptop to the network it says that it can not connect. And, of course, you can't troubleshoot it without a connection...I don't know if I accidentally changed my settings somehow or what, but I'd like to get the problem solved.

My laptop won't connect to my router however the wireless network connects to everything else in the house fine. It might work for a little bit ( sometimes an hour, sometimes only a few minutes) but then it will completely refuse to connect. The wireless LAN is enabled, it even shows full signal on the laptop it just will not connect. The LAN is enable but the button for it is blinking, I don't remember it blinking before. I'm not sure if that could be the problem. As its connecting it just says " waiting for the network" and that happens for about a minute then it just disappears.

I had to replace my wireless router and when I try to reconnect my printer this is what I get: Your wireless router requires a WEP security key. The security key configured on your printer does not match exactly. Reconfigure your wireless network WEP security key for your printer. Your printer has limited connectivity. Your printer is using IP address 169.254.xx.xxx which is not compatible with the IP address 192.16x.x.x of the pc.I had to changed the WEP security key I used on the old router as the orginal security key had been used by someone without permission. Before this I had no problems using the printer on my old routerI have tried turning everything off and unplugging it but that does not work, I tried resetting the wireless settings on the printer, yet that did not work. I am using Windows Vista service pack 2 on a Compaq Presario laptop, the wireless router is a Netgear N600, and the printer is an HP Photosmart C4740.

Do mind that it has been able to connect in the past. My wireless network card (Atheros AR5B93) will detect my wireless network, but after trying to connect to it, it'll come up with a Windows can not connect error. I'm kinda lost here since in the past it's been able to connect without a problem. I know that this isn't all to much information to go off of

I have a wireless network. For some reason my computer seemed to change regarding the settings, and I can't figure out what to do. Usually I can figure things out when the settings go wrong. I have a broadband connection, where it seems to want me to enter a phone number; I have a "LAN or High Speed" connection. Normally I click "Create New Connection", but it doesn't work.

I recently upgraded my internet to a faster speed. I received a new router. I am able to connect my laptop via ethernet connection without any issues. I am able to connect my laptop wirelessly both at work and at school. I am unable to connect wirelessly at home. I can connect my stand alone computer to my internet connection. I am also able to connect my smart phone to this connection. When I attempt to log into the internet connection I enter the passphrase as instructed the entire screen goes blank and when I try to reconnect the computer is automatically entering a different passphrase and gives me a message "waiting for network" then it disappears and I am not connected - when I attemp to correct the passphase it will not store the new setting. I have tried updating the driver - changing the passphrase - restarting the computer, I have used the diagnostic check provided by Century Link and spent over 4 hours on the phone with them trying various things without any connection.

I've recently reinstalled a fresh windows xp operating system onto an old laptop. I've been through some trouble getting the drivers installed, but now I've finally completed that.[URL] I cannot connect to my home's WEP secured wireless network to which I have the password. After I followed the steps detailed in the link, instead of saying "detecting network type," the loading bar says "waiting for the network..." and after about 30 seconds, it disappears and nothing happens.I can connect to my router by directly connecting it with an Ethernet cord without a problem. And I know that the laptop is capable of connecting to a wireless network. I was able to connect to a nearby neighbors unsecured wifi, however it was with a very slow connection due to the distance and weak signal. It will just not connect to my own.

currently I have a modem and wireless router next to the family desktop, but the signal is not strong enough for me to get wireless internet on my laptop at the opposite end of the house (where my room is :()I borrowed a friends signal boosting aerial (can't remember the model sorry) to test out whether that work, but the signal was still not strong enough and faded out alot.I would like to purchase a gaming desktop for my room to play online games, so was wondering if it is possible to connect a second wireless router in a different location in the house so that the range covers the whole house? The outcome I am searching for here is that I can plug this gaming desktop directly into the second router and use my laptop wirelessly anywhere in the house. Is this possible? Could you also recommend a good "G" router? I don't need a really expensive one with a heap of features either, just a good reliable signal

I've got a linksys router with two desktops running on it fulltime. One is hardwired (Win 7), the other is wireless (Vista). Normally, they have no problems with connecting. But I just got a laptop (Win 7) that is causing the whole network to go down for about 15-20 minutes then it will come back up for all my PCs but still drop out sporadically causing another 15-20 minute wait Both my desktops are unable to connect during this time. I also just got an old refurbished XP laptop from work, and it connects flawlessly. Then we had a friend come by and try to connect to our network and her laptop had the same problem.

My laptop won't connect to the wireless internet connection in my house, even though it will connect to any other wireless network and all other phones and computer seem to connect to this network fine. It just says the connection is local only. Every once in a while it will connect for a reason I don't know, but when I try it again the next day, it won't work. However, the laptop will connect with the ethernet cable. The wireless provider, TalkTalk, have said I might need to try installing or reconfiguring Wireless 0. I googled this and followed the instructions to set the WLAN autoconfig and wired autoconfig to automatic, but that hasn't fixed it
