Printer Not Working Over Network?

I am having problems getting my Brother MFC-9420CN printer installed correctly and printing over the server. I am running Windows Server 2003. I have 1 computer that is connected to the Server which has Windows XP Pro SP3 on it and the other 3 have Windows 7 Home. I cannot get any of these computers to see the printer and when I download the Drivers for the printer on the Server 2003 computer itself, it does not work stillThe printer is a Brother MFC-9420CN

We have a non-wireless network of Macs at work and occasionally have a PC laptop connected with an ethernet cable. Everything worked well until the owner of the PC got a new one, and tried to install drivers for our HP printer using the original HP install disk. Now none of the computers can connect with the printer. What happened? How can I correct this? The Macs all run OSX 10.5.8. The Windows operating system is, I believe, XP.

I have run three computers on my wireless network for a few years now, and have an HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless printer that has worked seamlessly on all computers. That is, until I secured my router. I had an open wireless connection that I changed to secure (WPA) a couple of weeks ago and have been unable to connect to my printer wirelessly to print. It will print if connected to USB. The first day I was able to enter in my WPA key just fine, but not since. It doesn't appear to be finding my connection. Oddly enough one of our computers (a laptop) is able to print to this printer so I am not sure. All computers are running Windows XP, I believe with SP3. I use a D-link wireless router. I have tried using the HP solutions to no avail and have checked in the documentation that came with the printer. As an aside, I now appear to also have another wireless connection which is a "computer-to-computer" connection, I believe an ad-hoc connection?

I have 2 desktops (running windows 7), a Canon MF8300 printer, and an outgoing ethernet line, all on a Netgear Advanced Cable Modem Gateway CGD24-CPR. I'm only concerned with having the 2 desktops set up with the Canon printer. Both computers have been connected to the printer before and I have the startup disk. But once the new offices were set up and both of the desktops were moved, I can no longer access or find the printer.
I can IPconfig the Desktops for their IPV4 addresses and both desktops recognize eachother on a Homegroup, but I can't find the printer. I printed off the print configuration page from the printer which gave me an IP address (printer is set for auto-obtain), but using an IP search won't bring up the printer. All of the devices are plugged into ethernet ports set up for the three different office they are in and the actual location of the Netgear cable modem/router is over 100 feet away. My primary concern is getting the printer for the desktops, but I also need to add a wireless router into one of those office in the future.

I have a laptop running windows 7 and everything was working fine for file and printer sharing but all of a sudden the network printer just came up as offline and I can't access the network drive/printer on my Laptop but on my desktop where I have the printer plugged into everything is fine and the printer is online and is being shared. Both computers are running windows 7 and when I run the network diagnostics on the laptop it just says file and print sharing resource ( my PC ) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts

So all of a sudden the trusty HP 4000 stopped printing. A little bit of troubleshooting and I found out that the problem was the JetDirect card. I purchased a new one (615n - same model as the old one), installed it, ran a printer configuration page, confirming I have an IP (192.168.x.x) and subnet mask (255.255.255.0), config by DHCP.Also, ran a ping test and it appears to be fine?

The latest Firmware for the E4200 states that there is now the ability to attach a printer to the USB port of the router. I am using a Mac, so that may be the problem, but I have followed the instructions on how to add the printer and it is not happening. It's possible that the MAC Firmware was not given the ability to add a USB printer like the PC Firmware upgrade.

I have enabled USB Print Server on the router and managed to print from my main PC (connected by cable to router).
However, I cannot get it to work on my laptop.
I connected my laptop running Windows 7 x64 by cable to router, ran the USB print server software (latest version downloaded from web site). The USB server software sees my printer (Canon Pixma iP4200). It appears in the list to auto-connect but there is an X against it and if I try and set it to auto connect, I get the error "the port of auto-connect can not be a LPR/Raw TCP/SMB port". Apart from the occurrence of the printer I had installed before (so, yes the printer driver is installed), the USB-server printer does not appear in my system printer list.

I have just bought this new device, installed, DSL is working fine but not the USB printer sharing. Allways tells me: "This system was not supported yet." Here is the message box: usb_printer_error.JPG.I have a HP DeskJet 1050 and a Canon Pixma MP150 machine. I know, the HP is not in the supported printer list, indeed Canon is.

I have 4 computers (3 laptops, 1 desktop) in a shared office. We get internet access using their wireless network. All works fine. However, I need to share a printer amongst all of the computers. The printer is LAN enabled and I would normally just put all the PCs on a hub, together with the printer and share it that way. BUT my question is can we access the internet using the wireless network and the printer using a separate wired network at the same time?

My setup: Windows 7 desktop; Vista laptop. Only one user account on each, with no password.I can share files between the two computers, but only by putting the shared files in the Public folders, otherwise access is denied based on username and password. It is inconvenient, but I can live with sharing files through the Public access. However, a printer connected via USB to the desktop cannot be seen from the laptop. This desktop is new. It replaced an XP desktop on which file and printer sharing worked easily with the same network.

We have a Verizon T1 line providing internet for our backoffice network. On this network, we have 4 network printers that are shared between the facility. We recently opted to go with new web based software that neccesitates a high speed internet connection, and 12 wireless devices across the building. We signed a contract with Comcast Business Class internet, so that in the event of an external failure with one ISP, we would have the other offer redundancy with the new wireless router. It has now become clear that our nurses that are on the Comcast wireless network, now need to print from their wireless devices regularly. At the time this is obviously not possible, because the network printers are only on our backoffice network. Buying a wireless inkjet printer is out of the question. How can I make this happen? All of the printers have a local static IP on our backoffice network (Verizon). I have heard of software that will essentially send the print job to another computer, which would relay the print job to the designated printer.

I would like 3 PC's to share a printer. I have purchased a Samsung 320N for this and also a usb print server. I also have a Belkin router from which the 3 PC's are connected via ethernet for broadband. Can I install the print server software on one machine or does it have to be installed on all the PC's?Am i correct in thinking that the printer will be connected to the print server via an ethernet cable and the print server will be connected to a PC via usb?

We purchased a new printer which is running on a network where one computer is running Windows 7 and the other Windows XP. The printer cable is connected to the Windows 7 computer. The print function works fine on the Windows 7 but doesn't work on Windows XP. Asking me for a "printer name" and I don't know what to put in that option. When I go to printers and faxes I click on each of the options under shared printers and it still asks for "printer name"?

I have a Laptop running Win7 via a router and a desktop running XP with a canon printer connected to it. The desktop is hardwired into the router and the laptop is wireless. Im using Panda Internet Security 2012, Windows Firewall and Defender. If I want to print something from my Laptop, Im able to by having the Desktop PC and printer turned on and have the Windows Firewall enabled and the Panda Firewall disabled on both machines. If I have the Panda Firewall enabled on both PCs and the Windows Firewall disabled, then the printer will not print from the laptop.I have read that the Windows firewall will automatically adjust settings for the 2 PCs, but I would prefer to use the Panda Firewall.

I am attempting to replace an existing printer on the network and keep running into trouble. I am sure at this point it is my frustration with it that is not allowing me to see what I am doing wrong. I attempt to just swap it out with exsiting printer and it grabs an IP address and then when I try to enter that IP address into my broswer to access the printer to give it the permanent one from printer I am replacing I cannot get to the printer.

I just replaced a printer on my network and assigned it the same IP address as the old printer. When our workstations were XP, all that I would have to do is apply the IP address to the new printer and, as long as the drivers were compatible, the printer would work. Now that we have Win7 on the workstations, it grays out the printer and wont let me re-enable it.

I had to replace my wireless router and when I try to reconnect my printer this is what I get: Your wireless router requires a WEP security key. The security key configured on your printer does not match exactly. Reconfigure your wireless network WEP security key for your printer. Your printer has limited connectivity. Your printer is using IP address 169.254.xx.xxx which is not compatible with the IP address 192.16x.x.x of the pc.I had to changed the WEP security key I used on the old router as the orginal security key had been used by someone without permission. Before this I had no problems using the printer on my old routerI have tried turning everything off and unplugging it but that does not work, I tried resetting the wireless settings on the printer, yet that did not work. I am using Windows Vista service pack 2 on a Compaq Presario laptop, the wireless router is a Netgear N600, and the printer is an HP Photosmart C4740.
