Setup LAN Intentionally Not Connected To Internet

I need to set up a small LAN intentionally NOT connected to the internet for some web testing.There will be three computers involved:
* A Web server running the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. This is running.
* Windows 7 and MacBook (both are working computers) that are to reference the LAMP web server as though it was on the Internet.
Network hardware: have a TRENDnet TW100-S4w1ca 4-Port Broadband Router and a TRENDnet 5-port 10/100 Switch.How does one set up the IP addresses, or just let the TRENDnet Router handle it via DHCP? I was told the TRENDnet Router would do this. Is that something I need to configure for this to work?Then, how to access, from both the Windows 7 and Mac computers, web pages on the LAMP computer? Where and how is DNS needed with this?

How would I force lag to certain computer(s) on the network? Even better would be to only make certain processes lag. Would closing a port completely restricted traffic through it? How about limiting it? I have DD-WRT firmware installed on my Linksys router. This is my network that I pay for, so i am allowed to do it.I could possibly limit a port that online games would use specifically, or just set a low bandwidth cap for the IP the computer is on?

I'm going to lay out my equipment and how Id like to set it up. Im hoping to get some feedback on specific settings for my equipment as I am rather clueless. How I'd like to have everything running:internet through the gateway (obviously)E3200 setup as wireless router with HD and TV connected.NAS on E3200 for backups and dropping files on to watch on TV both laptops login manually to VPN service.I was previously able to create a symbolic link in windows for dropping files onto NAS easily enough. I wasn't able to see the HD on the TV using it's MediaShare function. That was one of the main reasons why I got the E3200 with USB port.Also, when I connected the TV to the E3200 after setting up my previous RG with E3200 I couldn't get internet signal. With the DLNA function of the TV I'm thinking it might be a situation where I have to access the symbolic folder on my computer in order to access the NAS. This would probably be a painfully slow nightmare but the only solution I can think of.

I have been receiving error messages that the router, model F9K1105 v3, was not connected periodically. The "fix it" option usually took care of it. Then I noticed that the indicator for the modem was showing the color grey instead of blue. I also became unable to access the settings with the default IP. I wasn't able to fix this so I tried to reinstall the software and reset the modem to just start all over. I was unable to get the computer to detect the router during setup. Unplugged, tried new cable etc. No luck. It was still saying it was unable to connect, and still unable to get to setup page. I happened to notice I WAS online and can connect to the router wirelessly with an Iphone.
What can I do to get the software to see that I am connected and how do I get to the setup page? Basically get everything to work like it did when I first installed it. Eventually I want to connect my old router to this one and use it as an access point.

I have two ASA 5505's. One is currently setup as my firewall connected to the Cox Cable modem and wireless AP. I have another ASA that I would like to use, I have an idea that I could set that one up as a VPN unit, but not sure how I could do that. If that is not an option, can you provide the command line instructions on how to setup the VPN via the console cable. [code]

I have one interface setup to a Cisco 2921 router connected to a Cable modem.DHCP is on the 2921.when I connect to the ssid for my guest i'm redirected to the authentification portal 1.1.1.1 .i'm putting valide credential and when pressing the submit button .. it just go anywhere.
I have setup another SSID with a psk and it's working fine.. getting ip and able to browse internet.From what i have read... it's apparently DNS issue on my router.. but what should I check.

I am connected to my network wirelessly and I have Internet acces (according to the symbol at the bottom right) bu the Internet doesn't work. At the moment it keeps fluctuating between giving me interne and not I am using Skype to tell me if I have Internet ( when it's green I do when it's grey I don't) I have tried many things on forums like obtaining ip automatically or obtaining a fixed ip. I've tried renewing the ip and all this doesnt work.

I use my android as a mobile hotspot to connect to the internet on my laptop. My laptop says it is connected to the internets.d has a strong connection but will not load any page on internet. I use my mobile hotspot to connect to the internet on other devices and it works great. I am using windows 7 operating system and internet explorer for my browser.

well a couple days of go it was working fine until i updated windows 7 now it says im connected to the internet but when i go on it dosnt load anything, and when i go check it says that "IPv6 connectivity: No Internet access" how ever the IPv4 is connected to the internet, should i restore settings to osmetimes earlier this week

About a week ago I went on my computer and opened up Mozilla Firefox and it tried loading for a couple of seconds then it went to a white screen. I opened up internet explorer and it says can't find page. I have the pc hardwired with an Ethernet cable to my router. The computer says it is connected and has strong strength. Every other device connected to that router has internet and connects just fine. My antivirus popped up and said it detected a threat then I ran a virus scan and it found nothing

DSL internet connection - linksys wireless router E1550
When connected to work VPN (using Cisco AnyConnect client - split tunneling), I lose internet DNS, cannot resolve by name, but can by IP. Can disconnect from VPN, internet works fine. Can disconnect from linksys router and connect directly to DSL modem, VPN and internet work fine. How do I correct this on the router?

My computer constantly fluctuates between being connected to the wireless network/internet and "connected with limited access" in which I cannot access the internet. I am then forced to disconnect and reconnect. I then have 1-20 minutes before it drops back to limited connectivity.[CODE]

I am running windows XP on a computer that I use solely for my business' POS system - therefore not being able to connect to the internet is a problem as I cannot process credit cards. I have checked with the linksys (for router) and internet service provider - everything is working fine as you can see because I am posting from another computer. However the computer that is hardwired to the modem and router cannot access the internet. We usually connect to a remote server through VPN connection. Nowadays we are unable to browse internet after we estabilish VPN connection. I searched many forums and site and got a temporary solution Go go properties of VPN connection - click on networking tab - properties of IPv4/ IPv6 - go to advanced - in ipsettings tab - uncheck "use default gateway on remote network"
After doing this Im able to browse internet but my concern is the external IP should be of the remote system and not my original IP so that I get access to my remote LAN network.Even I'm able to find a temporary solution for this. After doing this setting we need to connect VPN and disconnect it and go for same setting but you need to check "use default gateway on remote network". Now connect VPN and everything seem to work fine , I'm able browse internet and my IP remains of the remote network and everything is working fine till the VPN connection is disconnected.

I've got a refurbished lenovo Y470 notebook, just out of the box. I was planning on spending the day configuring it, removing bloatware, ect. but I can't acces the internet. I'm at work, there is a guest wireless network for us, I can connect with my phone so the network is up. I was able to connect normally to my home network last night, not sure why I can't connect here. Running win 7 home premium.

I just set up my new HSI service with comcast. I am using a Motorala 5101 Cable modem. No issues with the ethernet connectivity of course. I set up a wireless network with a Westell router. Just now I found the westell 7501 router I use is meant for DSL service.
However I am able to go as far as connect to the wireless network without a hitch. The only problem is that there is no internet activity happening.

I have no virus/malware (malwarebites) that i can find. All of the firewall's i know of are off and all antivirus software.I Have a desktop computer with Windows XP Pro. about 3 or 4 days ago i tried to set up a minecraft server. I opened up my routers page using the ip adress to conifgure the settings, changed the settings and logged out. After that i couldnt connect to any web pages yet the internet was still connected. I have tried looking for a way to fix this for days. I have tried ipconfigs renewing and flushing my dns nothings working. In trouble shooter it says that its a problem with the dns server. Im running windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Have tried resetting my DNS and have checked my firewalls, I do not know what is going on. I do not have another comp to copy and paste my info from the cmd. Ive also gone into settings and made sure it is automatically picking up the dns. When i go onto my google chrome is says my dns look up failed.

Computer always says it is connected to the internet, but I can only browse sometimes? I can always talk on chat on skype and use spotify. Other programs, like League of Legends I can also use, if I was signed in while the internet was working BUT if I start a game while not being able to browse, the game will crash when I'm about to go in-game. Everyone else in my house can access the internet from same router.

I am having issues with trying to change my network from private to home on windows 7 home edition. In network and sharing centre it is saying im not even connected to a network when im connected to my modem. This is what it comes up with when I run ipconfig:

Recently I have been having problems with my computer. For some reason It says that it is connected to the internet and will work for a few minutes, but then suddenly stop working yet still say it is connected to the internet. I have looked around the forums for things like this and I haven't found a fix yet. What I do to get internet is to swap between the 2 wifi signals in our house. for the first time i tried to connect my laptop to a wireless connection... a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark flashed over the wireless icon...it said identifying the network and then said no internet access... i tried all the methods... i am not able to renew the ip address or reset it.... the network protection is wpa/wpa2 psk.... i know there is no problem with my router as all my other devices can access net through it.... i tried disabling the firewall and then connecting... but with no luck...in the status of the network i have ipv6= no internet access... ipv4= no internet access... when i troubleshoot the network it says invalid ip address... and when i manually enter ip address in ipv6.. there it also says invalid ip address...
