i don't know how I have done this but I have managed to connect my partners laptop to my network list on my new Toshiba laptop (don't know if make or modal matters) this seemed to have appeared whilst uploading and fetching photo's with skydrive,how do I get him off my network list???

I had to perform all kinda of removal actions but I just noticed in my network domain that his name followed by "PC" & under "media devices" & "network infrastructure" contains his name again w/ PC & devices called [TV]UNE40ES6100.I am using the program's wireless service which I am allowed-to. I just want to remove this person from my laptop. It won't delete when r. clicking. I have win 7 and use this laptop mainly for my online school & email.

I reset router, set the router's name to wife's laptop, created a password. when i log on to wife's laptop, i can see the connection but when i click connect i get nic card disabled. i checked the card and it is not showing as being disabled. i am conncected via my desktop to the router and i connect fine. laptop is toshiba w/ win 7 home 64 bit. i have tried several ways to connect but still get network cable disconnected.

I've owned it for over a year now without any difficulties, but it's suddenly unable to access the internet. The wireless icon in the tray shows that it's connected to the router (a Netgear N300), but that it has no internet access. I ran the Network Troubleshooter and received the message: "Your computer is correctly configured but the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not responding."
I thought that it may have been a problem with the cable modem (a Motorola SB5101) or with my ISP (Comcast), but I found that the Wi-Fi was working just fine on my cellphone.I tried connecting the laptop via an ethernet cable (to both the router and the modem), but it still wouldn't work. I tried turning everything off and then on again, and still nothing.I then started the computer in Safe Mode with Networking. In this mode, it WAS able to connect to the internet. I don't know what exactly this means, or where to go from here.
I have been trying to connect to the internet with my new adsl2+ wireless internet with dodo, i rang them and they say its my toshiba laptop windows vista that is the problem, it says that i can connect to the internet and from their end it confirms it however when i open a web browser it always comes up with page unavailable, i can connect no issues to the net via the modem connection cable but i need to connect wirelessly asap?

I should also mention that my Xbox 360 won't connect either, but both of my friend's laptops as well as my phone do connect to our internet. When I tryed to troubleshoot he Network Internet Conection my computer didnt have a solution. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have a Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7005. When I put it into Hibernate mode (I dont like turning it off, takes too much time) it paralyzes my whole wireless network. It makes it so that anybody else on WIRELESS gets disconnected, and cannot reconnect easily (they must restart the router). This gets very irritating when my brother is on the X-BOX/Laptop and he cannot continue playing games or whatever. If I disconnect my laptop the network goes down for them, but not for me. I can log right back on and connect with no problems. The wired computer has no problems with internet when I turn off my laptop.

Other computers in the house have no problem detecting and connecting.Wireless is enabled, it happens no matter how close or far from the router. The network is set to broadcast the ssid, etc. I have not changed any settings on my laptop or router, this has suddenly started happening. Have updated drivers to no effect.Occasionally, the network pops up when I re-start the laptop. I can only detect the local area connection, and can only connect to the internet via the ethernet cable (which is what I'm using right now).Even when I go to the "Change Adapter Settings" from Control Panel, it won't detect the wireless network that I use. The other computers/laptops in the house work, but this one can't regiester to it, even though it's the closest to the router. When I troubleshoot the problem, the only solution is to use the ethernet cable, but I can't depend on it since the whole point of using a wireless connection is to go wireless.I have tried the Control Panel solution of going to the device manager, but I can't find the wireless network from there. This Toshiba computer also doesn't have a physical WLAN button; rather hot keys are used (though when I use this, it doesn't anyways).I also tried to find the drivers for it to update, but those won't either update, or they do update but nothing happens. In other words, I can't do anything because my laptop can't find ANY networks whatsoever except for the one that is found after I connect it to the ethernet cable.My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit Home Premium.

At that time, I have to delete the previous one in "managed network password", then open the shared folder with new username, again save the old once once it is done.Is there anyway I can just open with different usernames without deleting the saved one?
