Three nights ago, around 9:30 P.M PST, my wireless connection to my router began constantly dropping every few seconds/minutes. This happens to all of my wireless devices only while I am in my bedroom, nowhere else. In every other room, my connection is stable.

I'm having problems with the wireless button after I took my laptop apart to clean. The wireless button won't switch on at all and doesn't light up. When I press fn f8 nothing happens. I'm not sure what I've done. The wires are correctly in place as far as I can tell. I've had Powerline PLE/S 300 setup for a couple years I think working perfectly. I it set up because my house is VERY solidly built and the G wireless cannot reach even the second room down the hall.
I recently got a wireless device and couldn't keep connection in the living room so I was going to add an access point and futzed with the router and everything went down. I got the router back up, disconnected the access point for good, but the Powerlines wouldn't connect. I upgraded the firmware then reset them and finally got Number 1 and Number two powerline online and working. But the farthest point (router at back of house, media at front) is the living room and none of the powerline boxes will work ON THE MEDIA.
I plug in the powerline and the home light comes up, I attached my laptop out there and I connected fine, then I connect one of the media players - the Xbox, apple or blue ray - and the home light goes out media will not connect and the laptop is knocked off. It does this every time now, same media players that worked perfectly before.
I bought a new router (Linksys E4200), wondering if the old just didn't have the signal strength and set that up very easily and the same thing happened - no powerlines work on the media in the living room. Mind you, I did take Apple to a closer room and hook it up to a powerline and it works!
As my Xbox died on one my attempts to plug it in to the powerline. So new xbox cannot connect either. I used to connect from xbox to the pc media center to watch recorded tv and this cannot be done wirelessly, even with the new dual band N router AND a new extender!
My dlink dir 628 wireless router suddenly stopped working yesterday. If I plug the ethernet cable directly into my computer and the internet works. I see the wireless profile in the options for the wireless internet, but when I try to connect, it is unable to do so.
I've tried resetting the router (using the button on the device) witand reinstalling the router (using the CD), but still not working. Also have tried turning off the modem, router, and restarting my computer.
My M20 Valet Plus stopped working suddenly last night. Now no power lights will come on and it now longer transmitts as a connection point . No apparent sign that it's alive. I've owned it troublefree for just over a year, but it is out of warranty. Any way to tell if there is hope of reviving it or if I'm just out of luck? Nothing happened at my end to cause this -- no power interruptions or other odd occurrences.

I also had no connection on my mac which is wired to the WRT110. I bypassed the WRT110 and then I had a connection on my Mac meaning the WRT110 is the problem. Then today my computer shut down and when I turned it back on there was a connection but my computer was not responding to any commands. The icon shows full connectivity excellent connection. When I try to go to a web page it shows Connection Error and cannot get to any web pages.I am able to get on other wireless connections from neighbors but not mine. I have gone thru different directions on here and I am not technical and don't understand what is being said. I try to go to 192.168.1.1 and it asks for a password which I don't have. It will pick up the signal intermittently but produce painfully slow internet and then promptly lose the signal all together. I have the WRT54G router for years and use it to provide both a wireless network for our home computers and a wired network for by internet phone that connects me to my office phone system and for my work computer and printer. Last week, the wired network stopped working. I checked the wiring and plugged my wire into all four of the ports in the back of the router with no success. I followed the troubleshooting procedure that I found and changed the MTU setting. I tried to update the firmware but the screen seemed to lock up and I was unable to complete the task.

I've tried connecting the modem directly to my Mac and it works just fine (that's how I'm sending this message now). But when the modem is connected to the router, I get no data. It connects to both the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz networks, but it refuses to send data through the pipe. I've tried power cycling both the modem and the router to no avail.

Other computers in the house have no problem detecting and connecting.Wireless is enabled, it happens no matter how close or far from the router. The network is set to broadcast the ssid, etc. I have not changed any settings on my laptop or router, this has suddenly started happening. Have updated drivers to no effect.Occasionally, the network pops up when I re-start the laptop. As I said, the problem is that the Router doesnt has Internet Connection.
Things to take in consideration: The Cable MODEM ISN'T the problem Because if i connect the modem directly to a computer, I have Internet connection without problems.I Diconnected and Connected both Modem and Router in several ways and several times, and it doesnt work.I also tryed clonning my PCs MAC address to the Router and it was the same.The Router Indeed receives the External IP Address from the Modem, and also, it changes if i restart the modem (as my ISP IP is DHCP). But there is NO internet conection.The Router had the 1.0.05 Firmware, and i upgraded to 1.0.06, and the problem persists. Another thing to take in account is that if I turn off my modem and the I turn it On, sometimes, the router receives Internet connection, but in matter of Seconds (minutes as much), the internet connection falls.
This is NOT an ISP problem, because as I said, if I connect the Modem Directly to any PC, i have a perfectly normal Internet Connection, And also, I called my ISP and they Said me that there werent any problem on their network.
I have also tryed with the "Router Dianostics" (the Ping and Traceroute options that are in the Router's Webend and also, no conection. So its NOT a Cables problem.
I have a Linksys E1000 router just upgrade to the latest 2.1.0.2 firmware...I have a PPPoE connection which used to run smoothly on the router..however off late...suddenly the router stopped connecting..it always shows "connecting" in the status tab of the router page...and eventually says failed to obtain IP address...however when I attach the cable directly into my PC it works just fine.I also had a word with my internet provider...he's kept the MAC open (or something like that) so he said that isn't the issue and he keeps saying there must be some issue with the router. However, occasionally the router DOES connect for half hour or so and then just refuses to connect again !..

certain websites couldn't be accessed on any of our devices (mixture of PC's, android and apple devices)After trying everything I could think of and even phoning our internet provider nothing would get the sites to load (Facebook, hotmail to name but two)A friend of mine also said he was having exactly the same problems whereas no one else I know had any problems!.Anyway, after much scratching of head with resetting the router to factory defaults etc the only thing left to test was a direct connection with the modem where all websites worked perfectly!So the problem is 100% the router! Even after a factory restore it still doesn't work with those websites and after talking to my friend it turns out he too has a tp-link router but a different model.
I've been happily using a desktop PC wired into a router (using an ethernet cable) as well as a laptop that connects wirelessly to the router. This setup has been working fine since I started with it a few weeks ago.
On Friday evening the desktop PC stopped being able to connect to the internet and hasn't been working since. The laptop is able to connect fine wirelessly.
The router light seems to indicate that the ethernet connection is ok. I've tried connecting wirelessly from the desktop PC but that doesn't work either - the Netgear wireless usb adaptor won't open from within Windows as it usually would do.
Nothing has changed to the hardware setup (I've checked all connections) so I wonder if this is a software problem caused by a virus or maybe by Windows updates?

I can see that the ethernet adapter(s) are shown as media disconnected but I don't understand how to make them connected. I also don't understand why there are two ethernet adapters or what the Tunnel Adapters are.Before I did the ipconfig command I went into Control Panel/Device Manager/Network Adapters/SiS Ethernet Controller, right clicked and selected the Update Driver Software which searched the internet for a driver and installed it.
recently I have been using my laptop downstairs where the router is in the same room, and now, when I attempt to connect to the network in my bedroom it connects for maybe a few seconds and indicates an average connection and I can also see other available networks before suddenly all connectivity is lost, I can't even see other available networks. Previously I would be able to get strong signal in my bedroom and I was able to use the internet without any fault.I have tested a family member's laptop in my bedroom, and theirs seems to be working just fine in my room. I can only use my laptop downstairs now and I need to know if this is a fault with my laptop's network adapter or if it's a problem with connection between my laptop and the router.

I restarted it and tried to login to the router but failed. I called the support and did a hard reset of the router. After that when I am not able to connect to the router from my computer for configuring it again. Then i save the buffer to FTP server to save the log messages in continuously way everything was working fine but suddenly sending the ftp traffic to FTP traffic has stopped suddenly before in the live log viewer it was showing when ASA throws the ftp traffic to the ftp server but this stopped suddenly nothing has changed in the ftp server setting (same username and password and the connectivity is there) sending logging traffic to the ftp server came back just when i reboot the ASA.but this is not solution.
