Connection Between Two PC's Stopped Suddenly

I have connected two PC's(xp & win 7) using cross over cable.I configured all the things. I was able to share my folders from one pc to another. Also i was sharing internet connection.But one day it suddenly stopped working. I changed IP address and tried all that i could do. Nothing worked.Now when I ping a PC from another it replies only once out of four and if I try to ping one more time , reply never comes.When i reboot both PC's and scan using angry IP, it shows other pc only once.

Three nights ago, around 9:30 P.M PST, my wireless connection to my router began constantly dropping every few seconds/minutes. This happens to all of my wireless devices only while I am in my bedroom, nowhere else. In every other room, my connection is stable.

I was just browsing the net when all of a sudden internet lost connection.I am using Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition.I tried these solutions, but didn't work;
---reboot pc
---turn off the modem, wait 10 minutes and turn it back on
---ipconfig /release, /renew in admin mode
---built-in Windows troubleshooting
---updated drivers
---use different ethernet cables
I contacted a floormate (I'm in college) yet his wired internet works. I have tried wireless. It worked.I have been using the connection for months and this is the first time it has happened.url...

I'm having problems with the wireless button after I took my laptop apart to clean. The wireless button won't switch on at all and doesn't light up. When I press fn f8 nothing happens. I'm not sure what I've done. The wires are correctly in place as far as I can tell. I've tried the following things:Uninstalling the adapter in device manager and rebooting /Checked adapter is listed as working properly /Do a system restore /Check BIOS

called my internet company yesterday with a problem that my internet was not working.. so we went through some steps and basically he had me remove the wireless cord from the router put it into my computer (at the time it wasn't working via that either) and reset my ip, it started working after that and he just said I must've gotten a faulty ip. Now it still won't get internet from my router, we all have laptops in the house so wifi is essential. The internet light on the router still blinks green.[CODE]

I have a Dlink Dir-615 router and a Motorola SB6120 Modem. For some reason the router suddenly says it's receiving internet access from the modem. It has worked for several months beforehand. I tried another Dlink modem and got the same results. I have my computer hooked directly to the modem hence the ability to make this post.

I have a DIR-825 (B) for over a year now. This morning, the wireless on it suddenly stopped working. Meaning, all my machines not longer seeing the signal from that router. If I hardwire to it, it will work fine. I have check the wireless settings and they all look fine.

My internet worked for like 4-5 days then suddenly stopped while I was watching some random movies on youtube then I keep getting this error :"Local area connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration, I could go see the university support, but the problem is they don't work during the weekend and that's the second time I have this problem within a week. My dlink dir 628 wireless router suddenly stopped working yesterday. If I plug the ethernet cable directly into my computer and the internet works. I see the wireless profile in the options for the wireless internet, but when I try to connect, it is unable to do so.
I've tried resetting the router (using the button on the device) witand reinstalling the router (using the CD), but still not working. Also have tried turning off the modem, router, and restarting my computer.

I have had a setup in which my four DCS-930Ls transfer picture every 15 minutes over a Dovado-router connected to a mobile broadband modem. This has worked perfectly until this last night. No pictures are transferred and upon using the test FTP function the status page just says "Testing ...." forever. I've also tested e-mailing picture without success.

I have this D-Link DIR-825 and it was working fine till yesterday. All of a sudden it stopped connecting to internet. I restarted it and tried to login to the router but failed. I called the support and did a hard reset of the router. After that when I am not able to connect to the router from my computer for configuring it again. When I connected the Router to my computer via LAN cable sometimes the LAN port is glowing and sometimes it is not. I tried different LAN Cables too. But nothing is working and I am not able to get to the router page.

My M20 Valet Plus stopped working suddenly last night. Now no power lights will come on and it now longer transmitts as a connection point . No apparent sign that it's alive. I've owned it troublefree for just over a year, but it is out of warranty. Any way to tell if there is hope of reviving it or if I'm just out of luck? Nothing happened at my end to cause this -- no power interruptions or other odd occurrences.

A couple days ago I noticed that my wireless internet connection on my iPhone would cut in and out, then stopped all together. I also had no connection on my mac which is wired to the WRT110. I bypassed the WRT110 and then I had a connection on my Mac meaning the WRT110 is the problem. I haven't changed or added anything lately that could've caused this....

I have the Linksys WRT54G And it was working fine for years! Then today my computer shut down and when I turned it back on there was a connection but my computer was not responding to any commands. The icon shows full connectivity excellent connection. When I try to go to a web page it shows Connection Error and cannot get to any web pages.I am able to get on other wireless connections from neighbors but not mine. I have gone thru different directions on here and I am not technical and don't understand what is being said. I try to go to 192.168.1.1 and it asks for a password which I don't have. I have tried everything such as password and admin and get nothing.I am able to get my ip address and default gateway address and don't know the next step.

My Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop has suddenly stopped detecting my wireless network. IT detects every other network in the area but mine. Other computers in the house have no problem detecting and connecting.Wireless is enabled, it happens no matter how close or far from the router. The network is set to broadcast the ssid, etc. I have not changed any settings on my laptop or router, this has suddenly started happening. Have updated drivers to no effect.Occasionally, the network pops up when I re-start the laptop. Rarely works and sometimes it will detect the network, then fail to connect, then the network can't be detected at all.

Well, I have a WRT120N Router for 11 months to now. I never had a problem with the Router, but since 2 days ago, It didnt connect to the internet.
My network is: Internet > Cable Modem > WRT120N > Computers
As I said, the problem is that the Router doesnt has Internet Connection.
Things to take in consideration: The Cable MODEM ISN'T the problem Because if i connect the modem directly to a computer, I have Internet connection without problems.I Diconnected and Connected both Modem and Router in several ways and several times, and it doesnt work.I also tryed clonning my PCs MAC address to the Router and it was the same.The Router Indeed receives the External IP Address from the Modem, and also, it changes if i restart the modem (as my ISP IP is DHCP). But there is NO internet conection.The Router had the 1.0.05 Firmware, and i upgraded to 1.0.06, and the problem persists. Another thing to take in account is that if I turn off my modem and the I turn it On, sometimes, the router receives Internet connection, but in matter of Seconds (minutes as much), the internet connection falls.
This is NOT an ISP problem, because as I said, if I connect the Modem Directly to any PC, i have a perfectly normal Internet Connection, And also, I called my ISP and they Said me that there werent any problem on their network.
I have also tryed with the "Router Dianostics" (the Ping and Traceroute options that are in the Router's Webend and also, no conection. So its NOT a Cables problem.

I have a Linksys E1000 router just upgrade to the latest 2.1.0.2 firmware...I have a PPPoE connection which used to run smoothly on the router..however off late...suddenly the router stopped connecting..it always shows "connecting" in the status tab of the router page...and eventually says failed to obtain IP address...however when I attach the cable directly into my PC it works just fine.I also had a word with my internet provider...he's kept the MAC open (or something like that) so he said that isn't the issue and he keeps saying there must be some issue with the router. However, occasionally the router DOES connect for half hour or so and then just refuses to connect again !..

certain websites couldn't be accessed on any of our devices (mixture of PC's, android and apple devices)After trying everything I could think of and even phoning our internet provider nothing would get the sites to load (Facebook, hotmail to name but two)A friend of mine also said he was having exactly the same problems whereas no one else I know had any problems!.Anyway, after much scratching of head with resetting the router to factory defaults etc the only thing left to test was a direct connection with the modem where all websites worked perfectly!So the problem is 100% the router! Even after a factory restore it still doesn't work with those websites and after talking to my friend it turns out he too has a tp-link router but a different model.

on ASA 5540 , i configured the logging setup as following :
log in to the internal buffer : buffer size 1048576 bytes
Then i save the buffer to FTP server to save the log messages in continuously way everything was working fine but suddenly sending the ftp traffic to FTP traffic has stopped suddenly before in the live log viewer it was showing when ASA throws the ftp traffic to the ftp server but this stopped suddenly nothing has changed in the ftp server setting (same username and password and the connectivity is there) sending logging traffic to the ftp server came back just when i reboot the ASA.but this is not solution.

I have a print shop that runs several computers on one network off of a single adapter. Last week the boss and I went out of town for some off site training leaving a single employee in charge of holding down the fort. When we came back we ran into a whole slew of problems not the least of which being that one of our graphics computers doesn't seem to want to recognize the work network anymore. It seems like the employee who we left (who, of course, "didn't touch anything") must have disconnected the computer from the network and started a new one as it is connected to one simply entitled "network". The issue I'm running into now is that when I check the network list the work network is not showing up at all. I've checked and I can ping the other computers on that network, they are all connected to the same network adapter, I just can't seem to get this one computer onto the preexisting work network.

I have a Netgear wgr614v7 wireless router that has been working perfectly for a couple weeks now, but I have suddenly run into a problem. For some reason, I can now only connect one laptop at a time to the network. When I try to connect a second laptop, it says, "Windows was unable to connect to [network name]". Ive been using my Sony Vaio laptop (windows 7) to connect to my uni halls internet connection by ethernet cable (and keysurf login) for months with no problems, now all of a sudden my ethernet cable is not being recognised. its not a problem with my connection or cable as other people's laptops work on it. and its not a problem with my hardware as my laptop works in other people's rooms. its just the combination of my laptop and my connection. My friend did something along the lines of resetting the IP address, but not really sure what he did. So i've done a full recovery of my computer.

So Today, a few hours ago i decided i was going to clean things up a bit on the computer, so i ran raxco perfectdisk defragger, disk cleanup, ccleaner/ccleaner registry fix a couple of times and windows defrag. So after that, the computer was running amazingly fast, but the internet was suddenly really slow, and youtube videos especially are taking a very long staggering time to load up, when usually my internet connection is average, i have unlimited downloads on my contract so it cant be that and its the temporary internet files and cache either, just cleared it all.

So, first of all, I have two PCs in my home, one connected directly to the router, the other connected through the wireless network. I use the wireless connected PC. In the past I've had some issues of my connection cutting out on random occasions for about a minute then reconnecting back. This happened to every single user connected to the network, including the one connected directly to the router. It was just a minor nuisance so I just put up with it. However, one day my internet just slowed down to a crawl and I don't think any hardware/software changes were made to cause this, but I may be wrong. What confuses me is that, now the internet has slowed down, the disconnecting issue is a very rare occurrence. It happens probably once a day, where as before it was much more frequent. I assume it has something to do with my network not being so strained. The PC connected directly to the router does not seem to have this issue, in the speed test below, it has a higher download rate, around 6-7mbps I think (it's pretty bad in this area, but it's usable).I have done some research as to why this is happening, but there are so many different diagnoses for a slow internet that finding the one I'm having is really difficult. I thought it was just my ISP performing maintenance but it's lasted for about 4-5 days now.

I think the built-in wi-fi of my laptop was destroyed so I connected a usb device that enables me to use wi-fi. Now, I tried to use internet, I was connected however connection was slow plus after a few minutes when I open another window it won't just connect. The window shows a blank page and on the tab it says untitled. I don't know what's the problem and what should I do to fix it.

I have a D-Link DIR-615 Hardware Version: E3 Firmware Version: 5.10 and I am using this as an access point with the DHCP disabled (secondary router) and my primary router is located down stairs and it is also a DIR-615 Hardware Version: B2 (192.168.0.1) and this issue didn�t develop until later over time and I have made absolutely no network configuration or ISP changes at all the internet has been working fine confirmed with Time Warner Cable and for more than six months and I out the DIR-615 Hardware Version: E3 Firmware Version: 5.10 router has been bringing down the entire network/internet access and I can confirm this router is causing the network/internet to go down and windows notification will say the network only has limited access and I am also unable to access the router page (192.168.0.2) state I have to remove it and restart it D-Link can take a look into this issue I believe this might be a bug and I confirmed on the website that this is the latest version.

I am able to connect to my home network with a wireless connection, and the signal is strong at first, but then immediately drops as soon as I move the laptop more than a few feet from the router and then can't connect at all. I have not had this issue with two other laptops with the same settings. The adapter has been uninstalled, driver updated, tried different router and adapter settings, etc. with no luck. Is it possible there is a problem with the wireless antenna?

I have an HP EliteBook 6930p with windows 7 installed and everything was working fine until i did a recent windows upgrade (might just be a coincidence) and i suddenly lost internet connection. My laptop picks up the router, shows full strength but i cannot connect to the internet wireless or Ethernet cable. I restored to a previous date and it worked fine, and all my other devices work fine (iPad, iPhone, other laptops). The trouble is when i connected to the internet again it up dated windows and i cant restore back to the original date anymore as it has gone from the list.
