Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT120N Suddenly Stopped Connecting To Internet

Well, I have a WRT120N Router for 11 months to now. I never had a problem with the Router, but since 2 days ago, It didnt connect to the internet.
My network is: Internet > Cable Modem > WRT120N > Computers
As I said, the problem is that the Router doesnt has Internet Connection.
Things to take in consideration: The Cable MODEM ISN'T the problem Because if i connect the modem directly to a computer, I have Internet connection without problems.I Diconnected and Connected both Modem and Router in several ways and several times, and it doesnt work.I also tryed clonning my PCs MAC address to the Router and it was the same.The Router Indeed receives the External IP Address from the Modem, and also, it changes if i restart the modem (as my ISP IP is DHCP). But there is NO internet conection.The Router had the 1.0.05 Firmware, and i upgraded to 1.0.06, and the problem persists. Another thing to take in account is that if I turn off my modem and the I turn it On, sometimes, the router receives Internet connection, but in matter of Seconds (minutes as much), the internet connection falls.
This is NOT an ISP problem, because as I said, if I connect the Modem Directly to any PC, i have a perfectly normal Internet Connection, And also, I called my ISP and they Said me that there werent any problem on their network.
I have also tryed with the "Router Dianostics" (the Ping and Traceroute options that are in the Router's Webend and also, no conection. So its NOT a Cables problem.

I have a Linksys E1000 router just upgrade to the latest 2.1.0.2 firmware...I have a PPPoE connection which used to run smoothly on the router..however off late...suddenly the router stopped connecting..it always shows "connecting" in the status tab of the router page...and eventually says failed to obtain IP address...however when I attach the cable directly into my PC it works just fine.I also had a word with my internet provider...he's kept the MAC open (or something like that) so he said that isn't the issue and he keeps saying there must be some issue with the router. However, occasionally the router DOES connect for half hour or so and then just refuses to connect again !..

My Linksys WRT120N router was working fine for all of 1 and 1/2 months and suddenly it stopped making the internet connection. At first nothing could access the internet but now that I've reset the router (via the little reset button in the back) my Kindle can access the wireless, but of course no password etc. I actually don't know how to put back the username and password for it. When router is connected: When I troubleshoot the connection by clicking on "Repair Connection" it takes about 2-5 mins "obtaining a new network address" then I get an error saying "The wired connection to your router was not automatically repaired. X Local network: Not connected.

My M20 Valet Plus stopped working suddenly last night. Now no power lights will come on and it now longer transmitts as a connection point . No apparent sign that it's alive. I've owned it troublefree for just over a year, but it is out of warranty. Any way to tell if there is hope of reviving it or if I'm just out of luck? Nothing happened at my end to cause this -- no power interruptions or other odd occurrences.

A couple days ago I noticed that my wireless internet connection on my iPhone would cut in and out, then stopped all together. I also had no connection on my mac which is wired to the WRT110. I bypassed the WRT110 and then I had a connection on my Mac meaning the WRT110 is the problem. I haven't changed or added anything lately that could've caused this....

I have the Linksys WRT54G And it was working fine for years! Then today my computer shut down and when I turned it back on there was a connection but my computer was not responding to any commands. The icon shows full connectivity excellent connection. When I try to go to a web page it shows Connection Error and cannot get to any web pages.I am able to get on other wireless connections from neighbors but not mine. I have gone thru different directions on here and I am not technical and don't understand what is being said. I try to go to 192.168.1.1 and it asks for a password which I don't have. I have tried everything such as password and admin and get nothing.I am able to get my ip address and default gateway address and don't know the next step.

I'm having an issue where essentially my only course of action is to unplug the router and plug it back in. I can connect my laptop (Dell Inspiron N4010) and my phone (HTC Inspire) once. But then if I put my computer to sleep, or I take my phone out of the wireless range and come back, I cannot connect again. I've gone through and played with the settings (changing the upnp, the beacon intervals, the channel, etc) but to no avail. Invariably, I always have to come back to unplugging and plugging back in.
Also have a Kobo E-Reader and a wireless Canon printer. The whole point of a wireless printer was so that it would stay connected and I can print from my laptop. This router is making this useless.

the kids received an iTouch for Christmas and I've spent the last 3 hours trying to get them connected to our home network. I have an existing network with two computers, I'm using a WRT120N router, the iTouch is picking up the network but when we put the password in we get an "unable to join network" message.

I bought two wrt120n routers.Once I connect the first one and get internet working, I connect the second one with the first one with a cable using their 1-4 ports. I need to configure the second one in order to have wifi at home.

My dlink dir 628 wireless router suddenly stopped working yesterday. If I plug the ethernet cable directly into my computer and the internet works. I see the wireless profile in the options for the wireless internet, but when I try to connect, it is unable to do so.
I've tried resetting the router (using the button on the device) witand reinstalling the router (using the CD), but still not working. Also have tried turning off the modem, router, and restarting my computer.

My wifi works for my laptop and printer, but I can't get my itouch to accept my password. When I go to the itouch settings>networks it shows our network with a lock, but I put in the key and it says "unable to join xxx network" (dismiss). I have tried the password with and w/o dashes, I've checked the router on my hardwired computer and found the password there, so I know I have the right one. I've unplugged the router in the hopes to reboot, but no difference. I have briefly jumped on my neighbor's unlocked network, so I know the itouch works.

I have this D-Link DIR-825 and it was working fine till yesterday. All of a sudden it stopped connecting to internet. I restarted it and tried to login to the router but failed. I called the support and did a hard reset of the router. After that when I am not able to connect to the router from my computer for configuring it again. When I connected the Router to my computer via LAN cable sometimes the LAN port is glowing and sometimes it is not. I tried different LAN Cables too. But nothing is working and I am not able to get to the router page.

certain websites couldn't be accessed on any of our devices (mixture of PC's, android and apple devices)After trying everything I could think of and even phoning our internet provider nothing would get the sites to load (Facebook, hotmail to name but two)A friend of mine also said he was having exactly the same problems whereas no one else I know had any problems!.Anyway, after much scratching of head with resetting the router to factory defaults etc the only thing left to test was a direct connection with the modem where all websites worked perfectly!So the problem is 100% the router! Even after a factory restore it still doesn't work with those websites and after talking to my friend it turns out he too has a tp-link router but a different model.

called my internet company yesterday with a problem that my internet was not working.. so we went through some steps and basically he had me remove the wireless cord from the router put it into my computer (at the time it wasn't working via that either) and reset my ip, it started working after that and he just said I must've gotten a faulty ip. Now it still won't get internet from my router, we all have laptops in the house so wifi is essential. The internet light on the router still blinks green.[CODE]

Today my router stops working. There is no internet on wifi even on lan. I thought my ISP is the problem but when I plugged in the wan cable to my laptop there's an internet. I tried to switch off the router and when I turned it on, there's an internet for about 15 seconds then after that there's no internet again. I have a Dlink Dir-615 router and a Motorola SB6120 Modem. For some reason the router suddenly says it's receiving internet access from the modem. It has worked for several months beforehand. I tried another Dlink modem and got the same results. I have my computer hooked directly to the modem hence the ability to make this post.

I'm having problems with the wireless button after I took my laptop apart to clean. The wireless button won't switch on at all and doesn't light up. When I press fn f8 nothing happens. I'm not sure what I've done. The wires are correctly in place as far as I can tell. I have a DIR-825 (B) for over a year now. This morning, the wireless on it suddenly stopped working. Meaning, all my machines not longer seeing the signal from that router. If I hardwire to it, it will work fine. I have check the wireless settings and they all look fine.

My computers will not connect through to the internet. It's not the modem, because if I connect my desktop directly to the modem, it connects fine (which is how I'm typing this now), but if I plug in the router, my desktop and my laptop (wireless) will show they're connected to the network, but that there is no internet connection available. Support won't troubleshoot because I've had my router 1 year and 10 days (which I think is a crock of **bleep**) and the "Guide Me" thing is just running me around in circles. I'm so pissed off I'm about to throw the router through a window and buy another (*NON*-Linksys) router, rather than pay $30 for one time tech support (which, with my luck, the same thing would happen again in 3 months, and the same directions wouldn't work then). I've done a factory reset, and set up the router from scratch, done a firmware upgrade, everything, but it still won't connect

Three nights ago, around 9:30 P.M PST, my wireless connection to my router began constantly dropping every few seconds/minutes. This happens to all of my wireless devices only while I am in my bedroom, nowhere else. In every other room, my connection is stable.

COX cable was out yesterday doing some work outside our apartment building. Now, our CISCO LinkSYS WRT120N won't work. I was working before COX cable came out and has been working without problem for the past two years.When I plug the harddrive into slot 1 in the back of the router, "4" lights up. When I plut it into slot 4, "1" lights up. When I plug it into slot 2, "3" lights up, and when I plug it into slot 3, "2" lights up.I tried the router software, but when I reach the plug the router in step, the soft ware returns after a couple minutes and says it cannot locate the router, even though the router lights are on.

I have the CISCO Linksys Wireless Router Model Number: WRT120N. My laptop is finding the router, and connecting to it fine. However, when I try to log onto the internet, it says no internet connection (same in the available net work section in the menu bar).Internet (Charter) they have checked the modem and there is no issue. I have also plugged the Ethernet cord directly from the modem into the computer, and unable to access the internet.

For home use, I have a Windows Vista PC which is hooked up to the Internet via a wireless EV/DO modem that plugs into a USB port. I just bought an iPad and for connectivity, I then bought a WRT120N wireless router. But I cannot attach the EV/DO modem to the WRT120N since the EV/DO only has a USB port. I plugged the PC into one of the 4 ports of the WRT120N and the iPad sees the router, but what I would like is that it also sees the internet when the PC is online via the EV/DO modem. Is there a way to configure this? I realize that the PC would always have to be switched on if I want to have the iPad online, but for the time being I am ok with that.

Recently I bought a new laptop (Sony Vaio SVE1511HFXW) and I haven't been able to connect it to the internet wirelessly. I previously was working on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR series laptop that I had no problem setting up a wireless connection for. I ran my router set up disc on the new machine and basically everything got ruined. My other laptop lost it's wireless connection and connecting it with an ethernet cable didn't work either. So now both computers were not connected. Actually, all devices can't pick up the wireless anyway (I tried to get on netflix with my Wii and it didn't work) I restarted the router several times, reset it once and nothing happened. I could only connect with the cable after I reset the modem and router, but it's still saying it "can't detect an internet connection." When I ping the router I get an answer back.
Here's what I get when I run ipconfig in the command prompt:

I’ve bought a router, and a wireless antenna for my laptop, since I have a high-speed internet outlet in the living room, but I use my laptop in the kitchen (I don’t have any other pc). So I’ve configured my Linksys WRT120N router in the living room, unplugged the ethernet cable from my laptop, plugged the wireless antenna in the kitchen, and everything was working fine with the wireless network. After about one month I was not able anymore to enter my network with the security key, there was actually no prompt for the security key, just a message “Cannot connect to the network”. I then had to reconfigure the router, going to the router IP address (I used the default settings, a blank for username, and “admin” as a password, as per instructions), use another network name, security key and password, and was able to start again a wireless network with the wireless antenna as before. This problem represented other 3 times (in the last 3 months), and was working fine, but now I cannot reconfigure the router anymore, since the IP address doesn’t accept BLANK/ADMIN anymore, and if I go ahead and reconfigure the router a message says I have to use the default settings in the IP address…

I often loose internet connection recently while online. I always check my status on 192.168.1.1 when this happen to see if i'm getting 0's ISP but it does not say that.I also tried ipconfig/release and renew I also tried right click wireless icon and click "repair"Power cycle always worked for me in the past but today to my dissappointment it did not.after power cycling I check my status on 192.168.1.1 and now it indicates 0's.
