Wireless Internet Not Working - Dell Inspiron 1501
Sep 11, 2012
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501.The problem is that i cannot switch on the wifi.I tried Fn+F2 but no use. When i checked the Network controller i could see a yellow ! mark.I can connect to internet by using a cable.Another issue is that when i start my laptop it says 'Battery cannot be dectected' and 'Battery cannot be charged'.But battery is working fine?
I recently wrote my computer to zeros and reinstalled everything and now my wireless internet doesnt work it doesnt even have the option to connect that way only by ethernet cabe
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop that I want to connect to my Belkin Play N600 wireless network. My laptop is connected to the network (I think), but it won't get internet. When I connect to the wi-fi with my iPod Touch, it works fine, no problems. If I connect the laptop to the router with an ethernet cable everything is fine and dandy, but when I unplug the cable it isn't.
Recently had to reinstall windows vista on my inspiron 1501. All is okay now except I cannot connect to the internet. Technically I am connected to the wireless network but I cant get on the web. Im going around in circles following error msgs but they all seem to point to an issue with DNS. Ive run cmd to save time.

I press the fn and then the F2 button and it doesn't turn on. When I restart my laptop I know all the lights like capslock, num lock etc are supposed to flash once. but it does EXCEPT the wifi . I tried everything. there is no wireless icon by the clock. my wifi used to work but all of a sudden it hasn't worked. I've checked everything on control panels and nothing..
My wireless is connected, but I get page cannot be displayed when I go to the internet. I have all the correct wireless settings, IP address, etc. I have tried to connect by ethernet and then internet works fine. I have done a million different troubleshooting steps. I have other computers using the same router and they all work fine. The laptop that is not connecting is an Inspiron 1501 and it is windows Vista. My internet suport it must be in my Laptop.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. I have a problem accessing my home network which is not showing up under the "Connect to a Network " list. I am able to see my neighbours' networks and can access my own network with my phone, tablet etc. The driver is up to date according to Windows and is functioning correctly. I reinstalled the OS yesterday and the wireless was working fine last night. To the best of my knowledge, nothing has been altered.
I have recently had a Dell Inspiron 1501 come in to my possession and the Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Ethernet will not connect to a tested work wired network. It acts like is you disable a network adapter in windows 7 on a laptop the device is disabled but it is.I have uninstall and reinstalled the Operating System and Drivers several times and these is no change. The Operating System in Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise and there should by no compatibly issues as they are pretty well the same system. The Intergated Broadcom PXE Boot Will not connect to a LAN network either but when I run Dell's Broadcom Diagnostic everything runs fine when operating?

computer suddenly would not acquire internet wired or wireless while at university. Local techies tried to fix but no luck. I'm trying to fix this but nothing has worked yet. Seems to be a problem aquiring an ip address. I've matched all the settings from my other dell laptop which connects no problem.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. At first it stopped working so I tried to re-install Windows Vista. Then to get the internet working, I downloaded the Chipset, Notebook System Software and Internet drivers but I still cannot get access to the internet.
i recently restored my computer (Inspiron B120) and im usto restoring computers but not this one. when i restored it i whiped everything out. I used all the CD's given to me when i bought it but for some reason i can seem to get it to connect to the internet. i know its not my router or the cords because im using the exact cords for my desktop. But every time it try to set up my network it says a LAN/DSL connection connects automatically.
i have Dell inspiron laptop windows 7 operatinbg before my internet was working very well but in last 3 months i have been struggling alot with the internet browsing problem, my internet is connected and actvie, skype, yahoo eveything, torrent download is 100% working but when i open any browser the error message comes that CANT OPEN THIS PAGE MAY BE INTERNET CONNECTION NOT CONNECTED. i did all antivirus and reinstall the windwos but still the problem is active.
3 days after warranty internal wirless adapter stopped working. I am now using external Belkin adapter. Have completed complete scan at Dell and results are everything is fine no problems. Am I able to download another driver. I am unable to locate my driver in the download option list. OS is win 7 64 bit.
My Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop computer recently had a problem with its hard drive. I took it in and the computer guy had to get me a new hard drive. I picked it up today and my internet won't work! No networks show up. I've tried pushing the F2 key that usually turns the wireless on and off, but nothing. I went into my control panel>network and internet>network map, and it says, "The adapter is not connected." What do I need to do to get my wireless to work?
my Dell inspiron n5010 network adapter none are working wired/wireless
Wireless: I'm able to see the networks but, not able to connect to it cant figure out what is stopping it.
Wired: Thinking I should be able to work with wired but it is not working either. I tried turning the wired option off (f2) but that is not working either.
I have looked up and down on the Dell community and already tried to reinstall wireless driver with no luck. I'm at the end of the rope. I need some other options to try to get this working.
It's a Dell Inspiron N4050, running Windows 7 Home Basic, Service Pack 1. I haven't been able to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable nor wirelessly. The wireless indicator is on (duh!) and the ethernet cable works with a PC sitting next to the laptop. I have a ARRIS modem (yes, the third world) and it works fine wirelessly with other devices here such as phones and laptops. When I plug in the ethernet cable it tells me that it can't identify the network. I do see all the wireless connections but it's the same, unable to identify network. I've tired all sorts of things, having studied computer science myself I'm not a total beginner, but the OS is in Spanish so it's really hard to make sense of things. If I can't fix this soon I will be forced to reformat the computer. The pros of doing that is that I will get the OS in English and lose all the rubbish Dell pre-installs on their products. The setback is that I won't have the drivers installed for the NIC and other things (although they should be on the optical disc that came with the notebook). Perhaps the problem is the modem, maybe I need a driver for it. Somehow I don't think that is the case because I brough my own hard drive from my country of origin and I put it inside the PC and it connected instantly with the internet via the modem.
My computer used to work fine with wifi but all of a sudden the wifi is not working. At the bottom of the screen I get the bluetooth icon and the little icon with green tick that comes up when you plug in a usb keeps on flashing. The computer show wireless networks available but the next second they disappear. I have installed the driver from dell website, reinstalled the windows and the driver couple of time but the problem persists.
I tried to locate the driver and the hardware and when I go to Device Manager the list keeps on refreshing every 10 seconds.
Under the device manager Network Adapters I can see Broadcom 440x10/100 Integrated Controller and Microsoft ISATAP Adapter 2 (the later keeps coming and disappearing every 10 seconds)
Under the other devices I see yellow semi colon next to Base Sys Device (3 times) and Network controller.
I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron 7600 pc running on windows 7 home premium and to enable access to our wireless internet I installed a Realtek 8185 wireless pci adaptor. It has worked fine (although not without the occasional blip) but recently it has stopped working. I could connect to our wireless network but connection came with a small exclamation mark on the wireless connection icon in the system tray. I tried reinstalling the most up to date drivers I could find on the realtek download website and this has removed the problem of the exclamation mark with the wireless connection claiming it now has internet access. However the internet is now so slow (vastly slower than before these problems began) I get timed out errors whenever I try to access any web pages. I have ruled out the router being an issue as my two housemates' computers are working just fine.
I can not set up and access to my wireless application on my DELL Inspiron 510 m.I have installed all drivers from "network" category, but my wireless network does not show in my "network places" on Windows XP.
Wireless adapter is enabled in BIOS and I have used Fn+F2 to turn off and on wireless device, but still nothing.
Few days ago the wireless in my son's Dell Inspiron 620 went bad. It does connect to my old router (WEP), but speed is terrible and connection goes bad after some time. I can also see my modern router and enter the key successfully (WPA2), but it won't connect. Connection to both routers went well for months before, and still goes well from all other devices in the house.
I read the issue with McAfee that was posted late August and followed the steps. Connection in safe mode didn't work. Then I removed McAfee from the PC, no difference. Then I restored the PC to a couple of days before the issues began, removed McAfee again (as it came back through the restore), no difference.
I reinstalled the drivers of the Dell wireless card, no difference.
For some reason my card stopped working, I tried reinstalling the driver, fn + f2 (to activate my card from my keyboard), and a few others basic thing, nothing is showing up, where I am with other PC I can see at least 5 networks. my PC gets nothing,im running vista 32bitintel pro wireless 3945ABGdell inspiron laptop 6400I also tried a fixit microsoft tool for network, didnt work,Im on the net now using wired cable from my router, and its ok but I need my wireless on the road------------I have uninstalled reinstalled the driverI did a fresh format last weekI cant reset TCP IP. I get access denied, even in safe modeI did use many different use for removal of malware on my pc. im using avgchkdsk found no problems*** I did try alot of things, what can be doneWindows IP Configuration
I have a new brand dell inspiron 1525 laptop and everytime i boot i get a message "Dell wireless WLAN card wireless network controller stopped working and was closed.
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly.Windows will notify you if a solution is available.I use windows vista premium and dell wireless 1390 802.11g.
Having the same problem with a Dell Inspiron Laptop using a belkin pcmcia wireless card. It was working, but has stopped doing so. I was missing some network adapters which I have reinstalled, and the hard wired connection is now working again, but wireless will not get past the acquiring network address phase. I tried the ipconfig /all and it shows my IP address as 0.0.0.0 and the same on the subnet mask. it says the autoconfig is enabled and dhcp is enabled. My HP laptop is connecting to the wireless network just fine.
I regularly get this message (but not everytime) when I start up Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
"Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.a problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).
I have a dell inspiron 1545 after upgrading it from windows xp to windows 7 ultimate the bluetooth is not working now. the bluetooth even does not appear on the control panel on harware and sound. I checked the driver from device germanaand it is installed I even uninstalled the bluetooth driver and downloaded it from dell website but still not working.
