I am trying to track down a problem I am having with one laptop. Other wireless devices on the network are not showing the same problem. Connecting to the router by ethernet resolves the problem.Over a 120 second period, the wireless connection drops and reconnects several times. Each time it drops it almost immediately picks up and re-connects. The "down time" is usually between 5 and 20 seconds.I have updated the driver for the wireless card (it was out of date) but this did not resolve.
Reading posts here - I see you typically need to see a WiFi inspector screen shot - which I have attached. You can see a couple of "drops" on the graph.

I installed a netgear WN3000RP extender in my home. Now I uninstalled it to give it to my mother-inlaw. One of my PC's doesnt list my network. So i can't connect. But it will list all the other wifi networks in my neighborhood. My other PC's will pickup and list my wifi network fine. What wrong? I'm running VISTA basic on this computer.

The multicast sends out fine and is received by the distant end modems fine but the distant end router sees the same source in the RPF and picks the lowest IP address neighbor to use so the router only picks up two of the four feeds.

My laptop can't connect to the wireless internet at my workplace, but I can connect to the wireless internet at my house.I'm very sure that the wireless internet at my workplace works because all of my co-workers can connect their iPad, smartphones, laptops...etc to the internet.I just can't get my laptop connected. I entered the right password, and then the connecting status keeps changing back and forth between "Connected" and "Limited access". It also shows "Identifying... no network access" all the time.I really don't know what happened to my laptop's setting. I have tried to remove the wireless network from "Managing Wireless Network" and set it back up again, but it doesn't work at all.

Recently I installed connectify because my uni flat only had one wired outlet, and I wanted to use my xbox at the same time. It worked perfectly, but when I returned home I found my laptop could no longer connect to the home network, it just says it cannot connect, but all the over devices in the house work. My laptop can still connect to the internet via an ethernet cable but this isnt practical at home. I've uninstalled the connectify program, and tried my best to make sure I got rid of all the stuff it's done, but still my problem persists

I want to be able to display pictures and play home video from my computer on my tv. The tv is a Sony wifi enabled television connected to the same home network that my laptop uses for internet. Is there any way to wirelessly connect the two through my network without buying software or some time of adaptor so that whatever is on my computer is displayed on the tv?

I am having problems with the wireless, often when i open my laptop there is a yellow triangle over the internet icon on the bottom right of my screen. It is not always like this but more often than not even though my pc connects fine (my pc is on ethernet). Sometimes switching to router on and off works, but its a real pain as both computers are often in use. When i click on the yellow triangle it says 'connected with limited access' (or something similar).

I have access to a wireless network, but when I try to connect my laptop to the network it says that it can not connect. And, of course, you can't troubleshoot it without a connection...I don't know if I accidentally changed my settings somehow or what, but I'd like to get the problem solved.

My laptop won't connect to my router however the wireless network connects to everything else in the house fine. It might work for a little bit ( sometimes an hour, sometimes only a few minutes) but then it will completely refuse to connect. The wireless LAN is enabled, it even shows full signal on the laptop it just will not connect. The LAN is enable but the button for it is blinking, I don't remember it blinking before. I'm not sure if that could be the problem. As its connecting it just says " waiting for the network" and that happens for about a minute then it just disappears.

I have a netgear router and an win xp desktop connected to each other through the ISP modem. The internet works great. Xbox live connected via through the netgear router(access point), works great. Now i just recently bought a power cord for an old laptop, charged it, working fine. Its a Compaq laptop, with a vista OS. My problem is not finding the router and/or connecting to it. I just cant seem to access the internet. It shows local connection only with an unidentified network, but it shows my routers name(LOTUS). There is alittle red X in-between the unidentified network and the internet. I pulled off the ip config/all on the vista laptop.

I have a Gateway MA-7, or MT6707, depending on the sticker with vista loaded on it. I have a Netgear wireless router (WGR614v7) and I am unable to connect. it detects the network but when I click on it it asks me for the network key, I type it in and then it says performing WPA-PSK authentication, and then it says 802.1x failure and a window pops up with signal strength and "unfortunately you failed to associate to*. This may be due to poor signal, incorrect WEP keys or a security method designed to prevent unauthorized access. Please check your settings and select tretry or cancel. Signal strength is -50dBm. I used to be able to connect to it with no problem and then I got a Sprint air card and I have been using that. I do not know of an event that may have changed this...

After finally getting my wireless and wired routers to play nice together, I now find that my laptop won't connect. I know the wireless router is working fine, because my hp touchpad connects no problem.Lap is a dell inspiron m5030 with windows7 x64 on it.It's brand new, but I removed the dell stuff and installed win7 ultimate, as I already owned it. (and I have a thing about stuff that comes bundled...don't like...but it came that way.)I have all the drivers installed but I can't seem to even see my router.

A couple of months ago my battery in my laptop stopped holding a charge. Ever since then I've had a lot of problems. The first was the USB drive would not recognize my mouse and the red light on the mouse would not even come on. Now I have 20 different yellow triangles on all of my drivers in driver manager and I can troubleshoot and fix all of them except for RRnetcap miniport 8. And even if I troubleshoot ill just have the same problem when I turn it off and on again. I have a new PSU in the laptop so that can't be the problem. I'm connected to my wireless network but it says no Internet acess.

My laptop won't connect to the wireless internet connection in my house, even though it will connect to any other wireless network and all other phones and computer seem to connect to this network fine. It just says the connection is local only. Every once in a while it will connect for a reason I don't know, but when I try it again the next day, it won't work. However, the laptop will connect with the ethernet cable. The wireless provider, TalkTalk, have said I might need to try installing or reconfiguring Wireless 0. I googled this and followed the instructions to set the WLAN autoconfig and wired autoconfig to automatic, but that hasn't fixed it
