how can I set up a wireless ipcam(zmodo) without a modem. I got the camera because it says wireless,but it wants me to hook up via Ethernet connection and i dont have 1. I then got a netgear wndr3300 router but its not connected to anything.My Internet is from a signal within range i pick up.

What we purchased is a unit with model no. of HT-IP206, according to its advertisement it has a storage temperature as low as minus 10 degree, and adversely high up to 60degree. While on the other hand, it states that the operating temperature shall be strictly between zero and 55degree. What Im concerned is that what if temperature drops down to minus when a camera is fully operating? Shall extra heating system be needed while the real temperature fails to meet the above-said requirement?

Now, I can connect directly to my computer to my laptop (wired), but when I try and establish the connection between the Cable Modem and the Router...it will show a connection between my PC and my netgear WND3400, but not between the router and the cable modem. Also, the ethernet port on router does not light up when connected to modem.

But, all of the sudden today, I couldn't get Internet Access despite trying both an ethernet port and a wireless connection (connectivity was working.) I know it's something with the laptop, because my ASUS netbook has no problem accessing the internet. I've tried looking around at some of these tech support sites and haven't really found anything that's worked for me. I've tried using CCleaner to remove any temp files and clean the registry, and resetting internet settings in the command box, but still I get nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this may appear to have been asked before but I've scoured the Internet and can't find anything exactly applicable to the setup I'm trying to achieve. I had a sky ADSL connection in my living room that had my tv, ps3, NAS and netbook wired in. I've since changed to a sky fibre connection but this had to be installed in the master phone line which is upstairs. This obviously isn't a problem for all of the wireless devices around the house including the netbook and ps3 in the living room. The NAS and TV are still wired to the old router so can see each other with no problems. Any pc trying to connect to the NAS can just switch to the old router via wifi if desired. The only problem I have is that the TV can no longer access the Internet.
I initially tried to use ICS on the netbook (it's left on permanently) - it's wired to the old router and wirelessly connected to the new one. This appeared to be working for a while but is no longer playing ball. I've tried bridging the connections and the tv and NAS both had Internet access but it's very sporadic.Is this a reasonable setup or should I be looking for another solution? I can specify a manual ip, subnet and default gateway on the tv if necessary - I was going to point it towards the bridge's gateway but I don't know about IP?
I was wondering if there was any way i could have the wireless connection go in to my laptpop then have the laptop convert it to an ethernet connection that i could then run to my ps3.

My bad for not taking the time to think I would have to search this website to find the short list of external USB drives that will work with the E3000.All I wanted to do was store my media files on a shared network drive. I am cheating the system now and using a shared drive on the main PC. The whole point of my project is not to have the main PC running to share media.So before I go scrap this 60 day old router, using WDs My Life 2TB ETHERNET connection external HD? Does actually have one of these drives installed on a E3000 using win xp pro? I did search high and low here, but could not find a list of acceptable external Ethernet drives or size limitations.Burnt once, lesson learned, will not get burnt again.

I try connecting via ethernet cable and it doesn't seem to work until the administrator of the network (my brother) comes home and then turns his computer on and starts using it. However, if i switch to a wireless adapter it sometimes works (like right now) even when my brother is not using the internet. Also, i tried to connect via wifi on my macbook pro to the same server and it used to work flawlessly 100% of the time, now i can only connect once in a while for short periods of times.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy dad is using a netgear router DG834G V2 and has no problem until recently. He got a new phone and wanted to connect wirelessly but couldn't remember is network key. After playing around with things he's obviuosley changed something and now has no internet what so ever.
I've tried plugging in the eternet cable and accessing 192.168.0.1 but can't see any problems there. When i am able to get a connection it's local only and Internet explorer can't display web pages. And when i unplug the ethernet cable it doesn't always find the wireless connection, and if it does find it, then i have the same problem as when the lead is plugged in.
His ISP is AOL although he doesn't always access the internet via aol, he'll use IE and i'm trying to get him to give firefox a go.
I have tried disabled both windows firewall and AVG firewall and individually but still keep getting the message internet explorer cannot display webpage.

I recently purchased a Mac and wanted to reset my wireless router and set it up using my mac. However, when I downoaded the software to set it up again, it said it was not compatable with my Mac OS (X Lion 10.7.4). I am sure there is a way to manually set it up via an ethernet connection, but I am at a loss as to how to do that. The wireless router is working just fine, I am able to connect to the internet wirelessly and there's nothing wrong with my internet service, however the wireless router is not secured.I have my Mac connected to the wireles router via an ethernet cord.

I've tried connecting the modem directly to my Mac and it works just fine (that's how I'm sending this message now). But when the modem is connected to the router, I get no data. It connects to both the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz networks, but it refuses to send data through the pipe. I've tried power cycling both the modem and the router to no avail.

1. Networked Projector interfaces directly with a PC through a second NIC
2. We can then control the projector through a web interface via the PC and the IP of the projector.
Desired New Configuration:
1. Maintain current configuration - but ADD a second computer (an iMac)
2. I want to split the connection coming from the projector to the 2 computers so that we can interface with the projector from both computers.
I was thinking I would need a switch but didn't know if there is any configuring I would need to do to get it to work.
