I cant connect to my sylvania netbook using WiFi. It says cant associate with it, entered network key code and nothing happens. It will say Native WiFiConfig started, associating with network, authenticating to network, failed to associate with network, repeats as it goes thru all the networks. What do I need to do to make it work? Do I need to add a new network?
when i connect my sylvania netbook to my wireless internet it says connected, excellent signal but when i try to pull up a web page it says can not connect to server...

We purchased our son a Netbook for Christmas - all of our other laptops will connect to our MiFi (Verizon) device but NOT the Netbook?? It states Excellent Strength but after attempting to connect states Failed to associate with the unit.
New wireless router was installed yesterday. I switched from Linksys WRT54G v. 5.0 to Medialink N. I hardwired to desk top first. Then I turned on my laptop and connected to the internet without problems. Next device = Acer Aspire netbook. The netbook receives a strong signal from the router but cannot connect to the internet.
My gateway net book has always recognized wifi, but since we left home a few weeks ago I have not been able to connect. My computer savvy nephew couldn't even figure it out.
My accer netbook would not connect to wifi at all, it is working when connected to the router. the wifi signal light is not on like it usally is. I restarted it a number of times like i usually do when this happens but this time it won't come back on
My netbook have decided to stop pickingup the wifi in my house. My parents laptop picks it up and my iPod picks it up but for some reason it won't pick it up any more?
I have a problem, my netbook eMD355 is not connecting directly to our wifi. I tried to restore the system but still it doesn't connect. My windows here is WINDOWS 7 ultimate.
earlier this year I bought an Acer AspireOne netbook with Windows 7 startup operating system. It's been working fine until recently when it suddenly does not see our home wifi connection. It shows a list of all our neighbours routers, just not ours. We have various other devices that can see and connect to it just fine (other PCs & laptops, iPhones & smartphones, MacBook Pro etc) A system restore cured the problem the first couple of times, but now that doesn't work. I've tried resetting & restarting the modem & router dozens of times but it does not appear in the list of available networks for the netbook.
When I ran a reset to factory settings of my acer aspire one netbooks which runs windows 7 I no longer have a wireless connection option at all. I have done this before and never lost my ability to connect wirelessly. I tried to look for driver downloads but I'm not even sure what it is I need to do to recover the missing program as it was a original factory program.
I have Asus EEPC Seashell/ 1015PEM netbook. The wi-fi connects only near/ so close to the wireless router with full signal. Just next room, blocked by a wall it disconnects, but full signal still exists. Is it anything to do with driver or hardware incompatibility- netbook has 802.11n adapter. Wireless router/DI624+ is 802.11g.
So my fiance picked up a netbook and we can't get it to connect to my wireless network. It is an XP computer with Service Pack 3. It sees the wireless network, which other devices can connect to with no problem but when I try to connect it I get a limited or no connectivity error. I get the same thing when I try to plug the computer directly into the router. Occasionally it will just connect to the wireless, but it still won't connect to the router, let alone the the internet. Currently it is not connected to anything.
i have Verizon network at home and office; at home i connect fine; at work it is connected but randomly goes from low to excellent but cant bring up the internet; all other laptops connect just fine except this one..
I have a netgear n300 WNR2000 v.2 router (which has the latest fireware as of today) and have connected to it both wirelessly and wired with my netbook. My netbook runs windows xp with sp3 and has all the lastest updates. My 2 pc's on the network are both wired and running windows 7 (both up to date with updates). I had no connectivity issues with any computers on any network ever until I got the pc's with windows 7. The 2 pc's see each other fine and they have zero issues as far as networking goes. Neither pc will interact with the xp netbook, and the netbook will not interact with either pc. I installed the LLTD on the netbook, which did allow the computers to "see" each other on the network maps. However, the computers still do not interact and say they are not on the network, even when trying to use the icon provided from the map to connect. In command prompts, all pc's and the netbook are able to ping each other with ip addresses. Only the windows 7 pcs are able to ping using net names though. When locating via "net view 192.168...", all the computers see each other and even display the appropriate names for the computers. However, using "net view pcname...", again nothing.I have selected netbios over tcp/ip, made sure the workgroup names match on all computers. The "net names" command showed no names saved in the cache.

I have satellite internet and i can't get my netbook to connect every time I pug my cable into the back of my netbook it will say that I connected but it won't let me open any pages.
I bought a 7" netbook with Windows CE Version 6.00 (build 3122). I can't figure out how to connect to the internet. The instruction manual says to click on the wireless icon, which brings up a window that, in the picture in the manual has three tabs, the third being "wireless information", but on my netbook that window only has two tabs. The "wireless information" tab isn't there and that's what I'm supposed to go to to connect to the internet. What do I do?
I have a lenovo netbook that used to connect to the internet seamlessly wherever I went. Now it doesn't even see any other networks in range. I tried to repair the wireless network connection - it could not complete because it could not connect to the netork. Wireless Zero Configuration service is started. I restarted the service - no difference.
I have purchased the above for my daughter but I am unable to connect to the internet have tried our t-mobile dongle and also main connection from virginnet broadband, neither seem to work this netbook runs on windows ?
I have a desktop computer using win 7 that works well with an hp c6100 series printer using a USB cable. I cannot connect wirelessly to this same printer from my netbook. both computers are using the same workgroup. When I tell the netbook to print it does not display anything, just doesn't connect to printer.
Computer has windows 7 installed Windows Update. Now we can't connect to the internet. We get an error saying the computer cannot find the proxy server. We don't have a proxy server. We've never had a proxy. The settings are not set to look for a proxy server. But we still can't connect. The computer will connect to the wireless network, but we get no internet connection.
I have an existing wireless network, and wish to add a Netbook to it. The Netbook can detect the network, but will not join it. It says the signal is strong, but still will not join the network. The computers cannot detect the Netbook wirelessly either, although network discovery is turned on.
I haven't done anything on the computer yet (got to have internet to do that.). The home internet is in the wireless connections icon at the bottom right of the screen, but when I try to connect, it says it's unable to. Would installing 4 gb of ram have a problem?
The netbook was working fine on wireless network; didnt use it for a couple of days - now I cannot conenct wired or wireless; cannot see the wired or wireless modem , only MSN dial up. But the wireless modem light is blinking steadily. Otherwise the netbook is working OK - it even seems to boot up quicker than it used to)(I would reinstall the OS but it didnt come with OS DVD or a DVD drive ; so I didnt create a backup when I bought it. I have since purchased a USB DVD drive; this is one of two identical netbooks I purchased on black Friday - other one works perfectly?
i just got a aspire one d257 netbook and i cant connect wirelessly to the internet its not giving me any option to do it and its saying that the wireless connection is not enabled how do i enable it
So I purchased a Linksys E4200 a couple weeks ago from Best Buy (got the $149 price) and finally got around to setting it up last Thursday. Before I get to my problem, I am happy to say that I have not experienced the "blinking light" syndrome that seems to plauge a number of other owners. In fact, the E4200 is everything I hoped it would be ... except for one problem. I cannot get my sister's Acer Aspire One netbook to connect to it.
It's really strange actually; the netbook picks up the 2.4GHz SSID fine (it's set to mixed mode) and upon selecting it and I input the WPA2-Personal password no problem. Then, it takes forever to finally aquire a network address, like at least 3 full minutes (usually this process takes a few seconds). After that, it tells me it is connected to the network with excellent signal strength. Except, despite it saying it's connected, the Internet does not work at all. If I got into the details of the wireless adapter, it tells me that the router/network failed to give the adapter a network address.
Router is configured for manual setup, Wireless-G only, IP addresses start from 2, (range from 2 to 201).
I have a Gigabyte M912 netbook that used to connect to Internet over wireless through my old D-Link and had no problems with that.
With WL160NL it connects to the wireless all right, but it does not go anywhere from there. It gets an IP address, connects successfully, but no internet sites can be accessed. Pinging gateway (192.168.1.1) gives 4 request timeouts. Other devices (Acer A500 tablet, sever smartphones, even a blasted Wowwee Rovio) have no similar problems< connecting and seeing each other and connecting to the Internet.
1. I have no idea why that happens.
2. Restarting the netbook, switching the wifi module on and off, removing remembered network settings and inputting them anew etc. does nothing.
3. Manually configuring the netbook to use a predefined static IP address instead of DHCP did not work.
I have an annoying problem with my netbook. It's a Toshiba NB525. My laptop can access the internet and connect wirelessly at home.
I'm currently staying at a hotel. I can detect and connect to the network but no internet.
The way the internet at this hotel works is that it redirects you to a site to log in before gaining access.
It seems to work intermittently but very rarely. Requiring me to reset the connection multiple times. Problem is, my other devices work perfectly fine to connect.
