I done had dis sylvania 7" for 7 months and i keep gonna on google to try and fix it. i took it to a computer store and it took dem a month to fix it and when i got home i still could not get on da net i have tried everything on Google and dat dont work i got clear and hot spots. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows XP Laptop and an Windows 7 Starter Netbook. I have recently changed internet provider, returned the previous (Netgear) router and configured a new (D Link) router. Prior to the change of internet provider, both laptops could connect wirelessly without issues.After installing the new router provided by new internet provider, my Windows XP laptop can connect to the internet wirelessly without problems, the signal is strong and the speeds decent. My Windows 7 Netbook can connect to the network and to the internet, however, the speed on it is so low that pages do not load at all. Whilst it remains connected (the connection does not drop), it does not display web pages. Occasionally it displays a page or two, and it seems the problem is fixed, but this lasts no longer than a few minutes, after which it starts displaying "white" pages again. When the connection to the router is wired, the problem disappears and I can access the internet and the pages load well, so the problems is strictly a Wi Fi connectivity issue.
The Windows 7 Starter Netbook that has this problem at home, connects to every single other network I have had the chance to test it on (at work, at internet cafes, at my parents, at my sisters) and it also used to work flawlessly with my home network before I changed internet provider. On all other networks, it works really well.The new (D Link) router seems to work, otherwise my Windows XP laptop would also be having problems... but it doesn't.So both the new (D Link) router and my Windows 7 Starter Netbook work well separately. They just don't work together!I have tried a number of things: restarting the Netbook, restarting the router, re-installing Windows 7 Starter completely, disabling the network adapter and re-enabling it, updating the network driver, unprotecting the network completely, disabling Windows Firewall, disabling antivirus,changing the channels on the router, placing quartz crystals next to both devices and chanting. Below, I am pasting IP Config files showing the details of the settings in both devices (the one that works and the one that doesn't). As far as settings on the router is concerned, I have checked that they are the basic default ones that technical support are recommending.

Setting up a new 1941w router. Already have another one offsite that's working great. Based the new configuration on the one I have working and can route traffic, etc. My problem with this new one is that I cannot get into the embedded AP to configure. My configuration follows this question. I have checked status of the interfaces and everything is up except VLAN2. I've used the command no shutdown within the VLAN2 interface, but the operational status is still reading down. The admin status is reading up. All other interfaces are up and up. [code]

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've done quite a bit of work with Cisco kit before (it isn't my speciality, however) and am currently working on setting up the embedded Access Point in a Cisco 1941w ISR.
The primary router is working fine, but I'm getting no where with the embedded Access Point. The whole IOS within an IOS just doesn't compute for me.
Our requirements are really simple.
We have a 10.0.0.0/24 internal network. We want users to be able to access this via the 1941w Wireless Access Point, in the same way that wired users access this via the Ethernet port.
The manual re. setting up the AP gives an example where IP addresses are applied to the AP, which doesn't make sense to me, as we simple want the AP to sit on the same VLAN as the ethernet port.
How the AP is supposed to interface with the primary router? Also, we want to use a WPA secret key to authenticate to AP. Is this possible? The Cisco docs seem to suggest that WPA is only possible through some 3rd party server.
I simply need to recover an embeded access point password.
I have the passwords to the 881-w router, but passwords to the embedded access point I don't have.
What is the recovery process for it, or the password reset process for the embedded access point.
I'm trying to use EPC on ASR1001 running IOS-XE 3.4, and it won't work. Configuration commands are accepted by the router, but there are no packets in the capture buffer.In release notes for IOS-XE, in the 2.5 section, there is a statement that EPC is not supported on ASR1k. Is it true also for newer versions of IOS-XR?
