Can I add any additional cards to it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 5915 mobile router with software version 15.2(1r)GC1. Ports FE0/0 and FE0/1 are routed ports. Ports FE0/2 through FE0/4 are layer 2 switched ports. I'd like to put FE0/1 and FE0/2-4 in the same address space so that all four ports can be used as a single LAN and FE0/0 would be used as a WAN port. How do I configure the router to place FE0/1 and FE0/2-4 in the same LAN.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSure this is a simple one. New to the 1900 series routers, have a 1921 with IOS 15.1. Noticed that there is a standard interface labeled Embedded-Service-Engine0/0. What the purpose of this is? Cannot seem to find any detail on it. See extract from default config below.

Using the new SUP-2T, need to clarify one query. If we are using the new SUP-2T in VSS mode, will the new ASA service module and NAM-3 are supported? From Cisco site, ASA module FAQ:
Q. Will the ASA Services Module support the Cisco Catalyst Virtual Switching System (VSS) at FCS?
A. Yes, depending on which supervisor you use. The ASA Services Module supports VSS either as a single firewall or as a failover pair of firewalls, when used with the Supervisor 720-10G (VS-S720-10G-3C and VS-S720-10G-3CXL). Transparent and multi- context modes also work with the VSS in this configuration. However, though the SUP 720-3B (WS-SUP720-3B and WS-SUP720-3BXL) is supported by the ASA Services Module, it is not capable of supporting the VSS. No reference to Supervisor-2T.
we are planning to implement a VSS solution with a 6500 series switches with sup 2T. We also need to include an ASA service module on the design, however the budget is not enough to buy two asa service modules. So i want to know if is possible run a VSS cluster, whit only one ASA service Module. and also i would like know what happens if the single ASA service module fails? can the switch cluster continue operating just as if there is not a firewall installed?

View 2 Replies View Relatedwe have approx. 70 Cisco 1941W routers deployed in our company. I used to be able to console into the internet wireless AP by issuing the below command:
service-module wlan-ap0 session
However lately this hasn't been working and AP just simply refuses connection. Here is what I have for Status. I have tried reseting the Service Module to no avail.
Router#service-module wlan-ap0 status
Service Module is Cisco wlan-ap0
Service Module supports session via TTY line 67
Service Module is failed
Service Module reset on error is disabled
Service Module heartbeat-reset is enabled
Service Module is in fail open
Service Module status is not available
Can the embedded AP be configured as a standalone AP without configuring the router's functions? I need to configure one temporarily until we get the 1252AP for the location.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have some trouble with that policy-map on my 2960 or 3560 switches with LAN base 12.2(53)SE2. I want to use that feature to catch video traffic from webcams in laptops which can't send dscp values out of the box. This is my test config to check if the function is working: catch every traffic from my workstation for testing, access-list 101 permit ip any any, class-map match-all CL_TEST
1. I can't see any counters with the command "sh policy-map interface FastEthernet 0/1". Cisco tells that this command is not possible. But how I can see if the policy is working correct?
2. When I did the configuration I can't see any packets with dscp af41 on the out going interface on the switch with "sh mls qos int gi0/1 statistic" as I expected. After reloading the switch I see the pakets with af41. Okay for that moment. But.After that I changed something in the policy-map. Only "set ip dscp ef" for a second test.
Generating some traffic I see only packets with af41 as before I changed the policy-map. No traffic with ef on the outgoing interface.

Do I need to power down the router?
So I have a 2600 that I have configured three sub interfaces on. FA0.0.1 is set for DHCP and supports VLAN 1. FA 0/0.2 for Voice, FA 0/0.3 for Data. I have this router interface plugged into FA 0/24 on my 3550 and the 3550 is configured as a dot1Q trunk (I have attached configs for RTR and SW).I have most ports configured as access VLAN 1 which is where i have my ISP connection plugged FA0/1 on the 3550. When I connect the service provider link FA0/0.1 never picks up an address. If I take my internal DHCP server and connect it to FA0/1 of the 3550 it snags an address almost immediately. In my mind this validates that my config is fine. I also took the same cable from the service provider cable modem and connected it to my laptop and the laptop is pulling DHCP.

I can access the ACNS with this config. The issue is that it will not cache anything when I enable WCCP on both ends. I am unable to set the gateway to the IP (even when static) to the WAN interface IP with the error Network Unreachable by content engine. If I address it within the 192.168.2.X network and gateway to 2.1, it locks up when cache is enabled. 192.168.0.5 (the external wan int) is unreachable as a gateway.
I've tried the unnumbered ip on the internal interface but then the service module won't accept an IP stating that the router side must have an IP set.
I had WCCP attempting to cache but timing out on everything without caching a thing. I want/need to understand the IP routing before I get ahead of myself.

So, I am trying to limit the bandwidth used by this vlan. The service-policy output statement works, the service-policy input statement does not. My test is to get on that vlan and go to speedtest.net. My download speeds are about 3.5Mb/s, my upload speeds are about 20Mb/s.
it has something to do with this:
sh mls qos ip

Any method to renumber a FEX without causing service disruption?
1) Preprovisioning the new FEX number
2) Mirror the config
3) Change the FEX association on the FEX downlink ports on the 5548
but I'm certain this will cause a disruption to the connected hosts ports which are in production on the FEX?
