I have a Cisco 881G with PCEX-HSPA-3G card for which I have successfully configured for internet. As the above one has come to end of life, we got the replacement 881G with embedded 3G modem.
I can't get Cellular 0 to use ppp encapsulation:

I have an issue regarding using cellular interface on cisco 881G. The 3G module is Aircard 504. SIMcard is working on other devices, it have obtain IP address from mobile operator. But on cisco881G it doesnt work.

I have configure each interface with a default route and weighting:

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble getting my RV220W router to work with a DSL modem. I pre-configured the device and shipped it to one of our store locations. I came to find out that the site had an "Advanced" modem (according to the carrier) and I had to have them "bridge" the modem. Prior to having the modem "bridged" I was able to have the user plug the RV220W into the modem, and the computer that was hard-wired to the router was pulling the correct set of IP addresses, however, my VPN tunnel was not working because the WAN address that the RV220W was receiving was 192.168.2.12 instead of the staticly assigned IP address from the ISP After bridging the modem, the user is able to access the RV220W but he does not have internet connectivity. According to the carrier, this is because we need to enter their PPOE username and password into the RV220W. My only problem is that my on-site person is not very technical, and although I have access to one of our other sites with a working RV220W I'm not able to find where I enter this PPPOE information into the device. get this thing setup so that the customer is able to get connected to the internet, and that my RV220W is pulling the correct staticly assigned IP address from the ISP?

I have US Robotics 56k Faxmodem which is connected to aux port of router and I am using USB dialup modem with my laptop to dailin to the router which is connected to a US Robotics Faxmodem. Then I have accessed my USB dialup modem throught HyperTerminal and I can issue all "at" commands and to dialin to the modem I have used the following command atdt914011111111 (atdt followed by country code, area code and landline number)Once I issue the above command it give me message "Connected" and after this I just get a flashing cursor. I cannot do anything nor will it display a username login prompt.
I've struggled now for a couple of days to setup a PPPoe connection on our cisco 887va box. I can setup straight away on a draytek box so i know the connection is good.I can't get the line protocol to come up? It's connected via ethernet port 0 to an external modem. One thing i can't figure out is if ethernet 0 and fast ethernet 0 is the same physical port?I've attached the running-config below.

I am using a broadband internet of a provider named BSNL,through a simple modem. Recently I got a Beetel 450BX1 ADSL2 + Router and want to use the wireless capability of the laptop so that I don't have to be glued to my table. The OS I'm using is Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) on an HP Compaq 6515b.I configured the modem by following the instructions in the following link url...I believe that's a straightforward method for configuring a router, and that accomplishing this is very simple.I followed the steps, only changed the username and password to that given by BSNL.Then, finally I unplugged the LAN cable and clicked on Connect to <connection name>, punched in the serial key. But it does not connect and says "Windows was unable to connect". Even after using Windows Network Troubleshooter the problem is not solved.

I have two wireless routers:
TP Link TL-WR841ND
and
TP Link TL-WR541G
I would like to:
use the TL-WR541G for my children wireless laptop, wireless ipad and wireless iphones.
I can turn this unit off at a specific time each evening as I wish.
The WR841ND is used for my wireless laptop, wired iMac, wired Roku stream player and wired Voip adapter.
I tried a few things but really do not know what I am doing and I cannot get both wireless routers to access the internet.
What I tried so far:
Cable modem ethernet out to the input on the WR841ND router. took one of the four hardwire outputs from the WR841ND and ran into the input on the WR541G I powered on the cable modem....it booted... i then powered each router up and waited for each to boot. I launched web browser and navigated to : http://192.168.0.1/ this allowed me to setup the WR841ND router.
it's current settings:

How do I set up the second router? I tried to disable the DHCP server on router 2 (WR541g) and change the IP but don't know what to change it to.
We have both DSL and 3G connection to the 881G and both are up and running.There is a NAT for easy vpn device (10.10.10.2) on this router and currently pointing to DSL interface IP (206.206.206.9) ********ip nat inside source static 10.10.10.2 206.206.206.9 extendable*********
My current requirement is that NAT for easy vpn device should work on 3G if DSL link down.So how we can achive the NAT redundancy. Even when I removed the above NAT and pointing to Cellular0, I am not seeing any translations.

Their company is an AT&T customer.So we have got from distribution a 881G and it has a PCEX-3G-HSPA-US card with it.What do you do or need to get AT&T service on this card. You call AT&T they don't know what your talking about if you say Cisco 3G card?I don't see a SIM slot which most AT&T device have a SIM card?Is there somewhere special you have to call for these to get service? Any checklist for ordering and also configuring for AT&T?FYI, we will do DHCP with it and it will be our backup ISP on and ASA if the primary internet goes down. We will just use a 172.30.x.x addressing between the ASA Outside-Backup interface and the 881G.

I've been unable to get any connectivity through 3G, and in most cases, as soon as I try to configure 3G, I lose connectivity through FE4.Currently, I don't even have FE4 connected. I believe that the router that meets this requirement is the Router 881G that I received today. In particular, the model is:

Now, I installed the router and configured the 3G link that is working properly BUT all the commands related to the SMS are completely missing. In particular, I miss the command:
cellular gsm sms send
gsm sms archive path

i have a 881G and an IP SLA icmp configured. (ip sla 1). I can get the status of it by the OID:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.10.1.1.1
But, on the same router i have a track 1 for the SLA 1 and a track 2 monitoring track 1 with threshold . What i want, is to get the OID of track 2 so i can get the status of it. Which OID is that?
I'm trying to use EPC on ASR1001 running IOS-XE 3.4, and it won't work. Based the new configuration on the one I have working and can route traffic, etc. My problem with this new one is that I cannot get into the embedded AP to configure. My configuration follows this question. I have checked status of the interfaces and everything is up except VLAN2. I've used the command no shutdown within the VLAN2 interface, but the operational status is still reading down. The admin status is reading up. All other interfaces are up and up. [code]

View 4 Replies View RelatedBelow is the config has done on my 881g but the dual NAT failover is not working.I have a easy vpn over NAT (easy vpn firewall: 10.10.10.2 behind the router).
1. After completed the config, I shut down the FastEthernet4, cleared the nat translations, found that nat translations are happening on to Cellular0 with error ( Incomplete ESP translations: 0 esp_conn=0x85A91FF0, hanging off nat entry 0x85A7D1D0)But still the easy vpn is not up as I am not able to ping the remote devices.
2. If I reboot the router then the nat translations are happening with no above error and easy vpn is up and I am able to ping the remote servers. Below is the config, what needs to be done to achieve the NAT failover and easy VPN up.

We deploy 881G routers at our store locations and are planning to upgrade the IOS to 15.2.2. One concern we have is if the router fails to boot to the new image. Is there a way to configure a second boot image as a failover in case the primary boot image does not load? Our current DR plan is to have a laptop on site that we can connect to remotely and setup a console session to manually change the boot file. This can be cumbersome and time consuming, so I'm wondering if the 881 has the ability to have another file loaded if the boot fails.

Using EMM as a nice friendly interface for their terminal server (ie router with NM-16A and octal cables)?when I ask the framework to run the following command it gets stuck will a blinking cursor and clear screen
