i have a 881G and an IP SLA icmp configured. (ip sla 1). I can get the status of it by the OID:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.10.1.1.1
But, on the same router i have a track 1 for the SLA 1 and a track 2 monitoring track 1 with threshold . What i want, is to get the OID of track 2 so i can get the status of it. Which OID is that?
We have both DSL and 3G connection to the 881G and both are up and running. There is a NAT for easy vpn device (10.10.10.2) on this router and currently pointing to DSL interface IP (206.206.206.9) ********ip nat inside source static 10.10.10.2 206.206.206.9 extendable*********
My current requirement is that NAT for easy vpn device should work on 3G if DSL link down.So how we can achive the NAT redundancy. Even when I removed the above NAT and pointing to Cellular0, I am not seeing any translations.
quick question regarding a 3G access via a cisco 881G i have a partner sim card (with the same number as the one in my mobile) iserted into the router.now i have the problem that my mobile is unreachable (line busy), is there a way to use both sims at the same time?what do i have to change in the router configuration?
Have customer that we need 3G at new location. Their company is an AT&T customer. So we have got from distribution a 881G and it has a PCEX-3G-HSPA-US card with it.What do you do or need to get AT&T service on this card. You call AT&T they don't know what your talking about if you say Cisco 3G card?I don't see a SIM slot which most AT&T device have a SIM card?Is there somewhere special you have to call for these to get service? Any checklist for ordering and also configuring for AT&T?FYI, we will do DHCP with it and it will be our backup ISP on and ASA if the primary internet goes down. We will just use a 172.30.x.x addressing between the ASA Outside-Backup interface and the 881G.
I've been asked to configure an 881 with a Verizon 3G backup connection as a backup to the FE4 primary WAN connection. I've been unable to get any connectivity through 3G, and in most cases, as soon as I try to configure 3G, I lose connectivity through FE4.Currently, I don't even have FE4 connected. I'm just trying to get the 3G connection working, so then I can take it back to the office and have a functional 3G backup connection. [code]
today I received a Cisco Router 881G with PCEX-3G-HSPA-G for a customer that ordered a Router with the feature to send/receive SMS and to remotely active the 3G Internet connection through SMS. I believe that the router that meets this requirement is the Router 881G that I received today. In particular, the model is:
CISCO881G-K9
Now, I installed the router and configured the 3G link that is working properly BUT all the commands related to the SMS are completely missing. In particular, I miss the command:
cellular gsm sms send gsm sms archive path
In the following documentation I see that these commands should be available: [URL]The fact that these commands are missing sounds very strange to me since the documentation is pretty clear. Do I need to activate any license? I also upgraded tha router to the last version...
Here it is the show version of the Router:

Below is the config has done on my 881g but the dual NAT failover is not working.I have a easy vpn over NAT (easy vpn firewall: 10.10.10.2 behind the router).
1. After completed the config, I shut down the FastEthernet4, cleared the nat translations, found that nat translations are happening on to Cellular0 with error ( Incomplete ESP translations: 0 esp_conn=0x85A91FF0, hanging off nat entry 0x85A7D1D0)But still the easy vpn is not up as I am not able to ping the remote devices.
2. If I reboot the router then the nat translations are happening with no above error and easy vpn is up and I am able to ping the remote servers. Below is the config, what needs to be done to achieve the NAT failover and easy VPN up.
interface FastEthernet4 bandwidth 2048 ip address 206.206.206.2 255.255.255.240 ip flow ingress ip nat outside ip virtual-reassembly duplex auto speed auto interface Cellular0 ip address negotiated ip nat outside ip virtual-reassembly encapsulation ppp dialer in-band dialer string gsm dialer-group 1 async mode interactive ppp chap hostname. We deploy 881G routers at our store locations and are planning to upgrade the IOS to 15.2.2. One concern we have is if the router fails to boot to the new image. Is there a way to configure a second boot image as a failover in case the primary boot image does not load? Our current DR plan is to have a laptop on site that we can connect to remotely and setup a console session to manually change the boot file. This can be cumbersome and time consuming, so I'm wondering if the 881 has the ability to have another file loaded if the boot fails.
I have an issue regarding using cellular interface on cisco 881G. The 3G module is Aircard 504. SIMcard is working on other devices, it have obtain IP address from mobile operator. But on cisco881G it doesnt work.
I have a Cisco 881G with PCEX-HSPA-3G card for which I have successfully configured for internet. As the above one has come to end of life, we got the replacement 881G with embedded 3G modem.
I can't get Cellular 0 to use ppp encapsulation:
Router(config-if)#encapsulation ppp Cellular0: Only SLIP encapsulation supported Router(config-if)#
I've been already purchased current cisco device (881g-k9),my vendor told me that there is possible to actrivate adipservices license on this router (i need encryption).i'm waiting now for license from my vendor .but for now i tried to activate trial adv_IP lic and got no success on it.So question is there possible to activate AdvancedIpServices license on this router?
Can Cisco 881G cellular interface (Modem Firmware Version = K2_0_7_19AP C:/WS/FW) work with r-uim cards? I can't find correct answer in documentation .
I would like to configure the 881G to use both the cellular interface and Fe4 WAN port for internet connectivity.Interface Fe4 is connected to an ADSL router.
I have configure each interface with a default route and weighting:
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer0 200 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 FastEthernet 4 100
I need to configure Fe4 to get an address as a DHCP client:
interface FastEthernet4 ip address dhcp no shut duplex auto speed auto
How do I remove Fe4 from VLAN1? There is some existing config around VLAN 1:
interface Vlan1 ip address 10.73.0.1 255.255.255.0 ip helper-address 192.168.140.13 ip tcp adjust-mss 1400 no autostate ip sla 100 icmp-echo 10.64.4.15 source-interface Vlan1 tag 3G Keepalive frequency 10
Then I guess I need to adjust my Internet-IN ACL to allow broadcasts and UDP 67 and 68?
Im looking for some software to monitor general info on the computers in the office. I would like to be able to service a computer and be able to pull up service notes, info on hardware and just be able to keep track of what we have been doing to all of the computers [code]...
Trying to implement PBR in N7K? I found that there is not track mechanism can use in "set next-hop ip", so if the next-hop is unreachable that the route might be died.
I was just brushing up few things in GNS3 and after setting up an SLA.Now when I want to set the track ip I get not option for sla why??I am running c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T5 shouldn't it be available?
i installed the Cisco Prime LMS widget and see there is a choice to search by username and hostname and phonenumber (for IP phones?) how can this be set up?
Does the Cisco 867w ISR router has an IOS with the Advanced IP Services? I need to use this router with Amazon VPC and BGP is required, where the Universal IOS does not accommodate BGP.
I have an 877 router which has a DSL WAN interface. The DSL service at this site is unreliable, so the company have purchased a separate 3G router to be used as a backup. This device maintains 3G connectivity at all times and has a static IP on the internal subnet (for arguments sake let's say 10.0.0.253).
What I want to do with the Cisco router is to track the DSL interface and if it is up, install a default route pointing to it. If it is down, I want the default route to be the 3G router.
I am thinking the best way to do this is to set up a track and then set 2 default routes; one which is installed if the tracking is up, the other has a higher admin distance and points to the 3G router and thus should only be used if the track is down. For example:
track 10 interface Dialer0 ip routing delay down 30 up 30 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer0 track 10 ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.253 100
Is this likely to work or is there a better way to do it?
We got a 3310MSE that does not track clients.,rogues etc for some reason.
- there are no firewalls between PNCS and MSE - clocks are synced up with NTP - CAS is running on the MSE - I have added controllers and a test site with clients and is synced up with the MSE. - Have enabled tracking under tracking doe clients and rogues excluding adhoc rogue APs -we only have 100 element license.
The only other thing worth mentioning is that MSE is running version 6 firmware and the controllers are 7.0.220 but I do not think this should prevent MSE from tracking devices. [code]
I am trying to set up a minecraft server but I am having trouble port forwarding. I port forwarded a linksysWRT160v3 router but still nobody could connect. So I read online that I might have to also port forward something sitting next to my router. (IDK what it is, i think its a modem or something) It is a Efficient Simon Speed Stream 5100. It says to type in 192.168.0.1 in my web browser for advanced setup but when I did it took me to a search engine.
What happened to "cable test" in 2.10 and 2.11? Thought this was I nice feature to check all connections. Also lots of settings in "advanced wireless are gone" (some are moved, many gone) Why?
We've recently upgraded our switches from 10/100 over to FOUR Dell 2848 (GB Managed switches) and using one as a director (fiber uplink). We are all on GB networks now and we've been running into issues tracking down what's hogging up most of our bandwidth (local area network) throughout our company. We need to track down which machines are copying data to servers and vise versa.
My home network has two routers. My setup is...modem to router 1, then router 1 to router 2. is there a way to track the bandwidth usage on the two routers. My ISP says that I'm going over my bandwidth allowance and that's because in my household, we are hardcore gamers, netflix, and internet users. Router 2 belongs to my sister-in-law, and router 1 is mine. But I want to know which and more importantly, "WHO" is using more of the bandwidth.
