View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have both DSL and 3G connection to the 881G and both are up and running. There is a NAT for easy vpn device (10.10.10.2) on this router and currently pointing to DSL interface IP (206.206.206.9) ********ip nat inside source static 10.10.10.2 206.206.206.9 extendable*********
My current requirement is that NAT for easy vpn device should work on 3G if DSL link down.So how we can achive the NAT redundancy. Even when I removed the above NAT and pointing to Cellular0, I am not seeing any translations.

Their company is an AT&T customer. So we have got from distribution a 881G and it has a PCEX-3G-HSPA-US card with it.What do you do or need to get AT&T service on this card. You call AT&T they don't know what your talking about if you say Cisco 3G card?I don't see a SIM slot which most AT&T device have a SIM card?Is there somewhere special you have to call for these to get service? Any checklist for ordering and also configuring for AT&T?FYI, we will do DHCP with it and it will be our backup ISP on and ASA if the primary internet goes down. We will just use a 172.30.x.x addressing between the ASA Outside-Backup interface and the 881G.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been asked to configure an 881 with a Verizon 3G backup connection as a backup to the FE4 primary WAN connection. I've been unable to get any connectivity through 3G, and in most cases, as soon as I try to configure 3G, I lose connectivity through FE4.Currently, I don't even have FE4 connected. I'm just trying to get the 3G connection working, so then I can take it back to the office and have a functional 3G backup connection. [code]
View 1 Replies View Relatedtoday I received a Cisco Router 881G with PCEX-3G-HSPA-G for a customer that ordered a Router with the feature to send/receive SMS and to remotely active the 3G Internet connection through SMS. I believe that the router that meets this requirement is the Router 881G that I received today. In particular, the model is:
CISCO881G-K9
Now, I installed the router and configured the 3G link that is working properly BUT all the commands related to the SMS are completely missing. In particular, I miss the command:
cellular gsm sms send
gsm sms archive path
In the following documentation I see that these commands should be available: [URL]The fact that these commands are missing sounds very strange to me since the documentation is pretty clear. Do I need to activate any license? I also upgraded tha router to the last version...
Here it is the show version of the Router:

i have a 881G and an IP SLA icmp configured. (ip sla 1). I can get the status of it by the OID:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.10.1.1.1
But, on the same router i have a track 1 for the SLA 1 and a track 2 monitoring track 1 with threshold . What i want, is to get the OID of track 2 so i can get the status of it. Which OID is that?
an external Antenna for a 881G? We're using AT&T.

1. After completed the config, I shut down the FastEthernet4, cleared the nat translations, found that nat translations are happening on to Cellular0 with error ( Incomplete ESP translations: 0 esp_conn=0x85A91FF0, hanging off nat entry 0x85A7D1D0)But still the easy vpn is not up as I am not able to ping the remote devices.
2. If I reboot the router then the nat translations are happening with no above error and easy vpn is up and I am able to ping the remote servers. Below is the config, what needs to be done to achieve the NAT failover and easy VPN up.

We deploy 881G routers at our store locations and are planning to upgrade the IOS to 15.2.2. One concern we have is if the router fails to boot to the new image. Is there a way to configure a second boot image as a failover in case the primary boot image does not load? Our current DR plan is to have a laptop on site that we can connect to remotely and setup a console session to manually change the boot file. This can be cumbersome and time consuming, so I'm wondering if the 881 has the ability to have another file loaded if the boot fails.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to configure the 881G to use both the cellular interface and Fe4 WAN port for internet connectivity.Interface Fe4 is connected to an ADSL router.
I have configure each interface with a default route and weighting:
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer0 200
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 FastEthernet 4 100
I need to configure Fe4 to get an address as a DHCP client:
interface FastEthernet4
ip address dhcp
no shut
duplex auto
speed auto
How do I remove Fe4 from VLAN1? There is some existing config around VLAN 1:
interface Vlan1
ip address 10.73.0.1 255.255.255.0
ip helper-address 192.168.140.13
ip tcp adjust-mss 1400
no autostate
ip sla 100
icmp-echo 10.64.4.15 source-interface Vlan1
tag 3G Keepalive
frequency 10
Then I guess I need to adjust my Internet-IN ACL to allow broadcasts and UDP 67 and 68?

I have a new 3560G to set up a small network for a remote site. I configured the vlan and an SVI as the gateway. The switch is also the DHCP server for the LAN. I configured Gi0/2 as L3 port, connecting to the nearest neighbor. My network runs EIGRP so i advertised the routes into the EIGRP process. The switch forms EIGRP neighbors and learns all routes in the enterprise network. The problems I'm having now are: 1. The switch learns all routes in my enterprise LAN and can ping devices in the enterprise LAN, but I can’t ping any interface on the switch from the enterprise LAN. 2.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI set this up and I can ping all the gateways but never the hosts. I was hoping I could make these links between 6500's a mix of L2 and L3. Check it out. They are connected in a linear fashion R1--->R2--->R3. I can ping from R1 to R3's SVI4 gateway but I can never ping a host on that SVI4. I was hoping that I could use the port-channels between 6500's as routed links or as trunk links depending on the type of traffic....thought it would ease the migration. I suppose I could always get rid of the port-channels and just make separate L2 and L3 links between the 6500's.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had both a Westell 7500 and a Linksys Router working fine and had my 360 setup as an extender for Windows Media Center so I could stream TV, Music, Movies, etc from my desktop to the 360. Then I switched my modem/router out with a Zyxel PH5001Z
So now today I noticed that I can no longer find my desktop through the XBox. I have adjusted my firewall settings on the modem itself, even completely disabling it. UPnP is enabled for the 360 and the device is showing under my device table. At first I wasn't able to ping any network devices but after creating an ICMPv4 Firewall rule it worked fine. I've confirmed the XBox IP Address through Network Map, the Device Table on the modem and through Network Settings on the XBox. I've diabled my modem firewall as well as Windows Firewall, completely and I still can't ping my XBox or set it up as an Extender.
I have the XBox connected wirelessly using WPA2-Personal and it's operating in 802.11g/n mode.
I recently moved from an old apartment in Downtown Montreal, to a suburb area, but still close to where I was before (10 km). I am using the same ISP provider, Videotron. The same speed. I was playing this game, Chivalry Medieval warfare, perfectly fine before, but now something is really wrong. Whenever I join a server, my ping skyrockets up to close to 200, sometimes drifting to 130 but never going below... and often rising back up again.Keep in mind that I filter servers by their pings. I only join servers that display a low ping (although often I won't see any, when I refresh.. there they are). I'll see a server with 30 ping, join it, and be at 200.It's entirely unplayable. Not only is it impossible to properly time parries anymore, but I also get a lot of rubberbanding. I've tested the internet here, and the speeds are accurate. 10 mbps down, 1 mbps up. I am connected to a Linksys E1200 router. I've tried everything I can possibly think of.I went into the router setup, disabled the firewall, added myself to a DMZ, tried to forward every port... rebooted the modem, my computer, the router, tried a different Ethernet cable.. nothing is working. It's very depressing. Nothing has changed on my own computer in the move. I also notice there is a delay of a second or so before I start to load a webpage when I click a link.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed some serious random ping spikes in online games and found that the connection between my Laptop and the E4200 is very very unstable. Sometimes it works perfectly fine but at other times my ping will spike each 5 seconds to three or even four digits and back to normal. I never get disconnected but playing is obviously not possible.
I ran several pingtests through pingtest.net and got everything from 15ms ping 3ms jitter to like 400 ping 300 jitter.
Eventually, I pinged the router (192.168.1.1) and got delays between 2ms and 300ms for both the 2.4 ghz and the 5ghz network. The 2.4ghz channels are fairly crowded but the signal is perfectly fine and stable. The 5ghz band is totally free therefore interference shouldn't be a problem i guess.
I can't ping from the 192.168.50.0/24 network on Cisco Router 1. The router is connected with network 192.168.1.0 to a linksys router. I also can't ping from the linksys router to a IP address that is connected to the cisco router.
