Issue 1: I have been trying to configured Webauth bundle however it seems that is not working.
1. login.tar created use picozip contains 3 files: login.html, terms.html, and logo.jpg.
2, uploaded via FTP to controller successfully..
3, no issue when i tried to preview on the controller
However users unable to see the login page when connected to guest wifi. when the user tried to connect cisco.com, on the browser address shows that the page redirected to url... however internet explorer / firefox display "Connection reset error".During this time, if i ask the user to type url... they can see the default login page, so no issue on connectivity to the service port.
Issue 2: Since i couldnt make that work, i have use default webauth internal. its all good. then when i tried to upload customlogo.jpg (18k size). User able to see the login page however not the logo. it shows broken image icon on the web browser. --> i can see the logo when i did preview on the controller.
Issue 3: last resort if i couldnt get the answer by sunday, how do i delete or remove the customlogo ?? so by monday users will not be seeing any errors on the page.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm only able to restore my settings from a backup taken in July 2011. Any backups that I take, say today for example, won't restore. Any attempts to restore them is returned with "The restored configuration file has been uploaded in failure." I haven't changed my router. The firmware remains the same. I'm using Firefox, though I believe I've always used Firefox to interface with the router.

Just a small issue when I'm trying to upload a file to a distant FTP server. Any file < 1KB is fine but when the file is larger than 1KB, I can't upload it anymore (it just doesn't complete the upload).
I tried passive/active mode for my FTP connection.
I tried port forwarding.
Now I deactivated the router firewall and I put myself in the DMZ.
I also tried to upgrade the router's firmware to the latest official version, and to the DD-WRIT latest version.
But still I can't upload files larger than 1KB. With my previous router, it was working pretty fine.
The ultimate test was to connect myself on a VPN server and try to upload the file to the FTP through the VPN server. And it worked!!!
But I don't want to be always connected to a VPN when I want to transfer files to my FTP server...

Recently, (since my brother has moved back in), the amount downloaded each moth has rocketed to around 60GBs, meaning we've gone over the limit. We've asked my brother to stop downloading things, and he says he has, but its obvious he hasn't. I searched google and I haven't found anything, but I was wondering if there was a piece of software to track exactly what's being downloaded/uploaded through the main router. Or a program to more simply which IP address is downloading the most...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm no network security expert but have been asked to "investigate" someone who has been connecting their personal laptop to the company network and using our internet to do "questionable" activities.
Basically I have this information taken from our domain controller's logs:
- DHCP address that was leased to the laptop at the time of the "infractions".
- Computer name of the laptop.
- Precise date and time of when this person was connected to our network.
Based on the DCHP address, I can somewhat narrow it down to a few different switches at different locations in the building, but there's no way to pinpoint it exactly. If I can figure out which switch they connected to, I would know who did it.
I have an 877 router which has a DSL WAN interface. The DSL service at this site is unreliable, so the company have purchased a separate 3G router to be used as a backup. This device maintains 3G connectivity at all times and has a static IP on the internal subnet (for arguments sake let's say 10.0.0.253).
What I want to do with the Cisco router is to track the DSL interface and if it is up, install a default route pointing to it. If it is down, I want the default route to be the 3G router.
I am thinking the best way to do this is to set up a track and then set 2 default routes; one which is installed if the tracking is up, the other has a higher admin distance and points to the 3G router and thus should only be used if the track is down. For example:
track 10 interface Dialer0 ip routing
delay down 30 up 30
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer0 track 10
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.253 100
Is this likely to work or is there a better way to do it?
We got a 3310MSE that does not track clients.,rogues etc for some reason.
- there are no firewalls between PNCS and MSE
- clocks are synced up with NTP
- CAS is running on the MSE
- I have added controllers and a test site with clients and is synced up with the MSE.
- Have enabled tracking under tracking doe clients and rogues excluding adhoc rogue APs -we only have 100 element license.
The only other thing worth mentioning is that MSE is running version 6 firmware and the controllers are 7.0.220 but I do not think this should prevent MSE from tracking devices. [code]

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have a need to track specifc subnets on our two 6509s, running IOS version 12.2(18)SXF16. Basically, we want to do this:
track 1 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.252 reachability
track 2 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.252 reachability
However, the 6509 IOS only provides the option to track an interface. Is this a feature that's available in later IOS versions?
Is there another way to track these routes? The subnets are used for WAN links at a HQ and DR site and we are doing a specific PBR (sending all http/https traffic) using these subnets. If that WAN link goes down, we want to be able to utilize a backup WAN link to support that traffic.
I am trying to track down an application response problem on my network (the traffic goes through a 6509 and FWSM).I noticed in one of my WireShark captures, that the client at times seems to be sending ackowledgements (ACKs) over and over again, and I'm not sure if this indicates a problem/ retransmission.
Basically, a web server is delivering images to the client, but end users are complaining of slowness and freezes.Wire-Shark has not flagged this as a problem (comes up "green")
The only option that I have under the IOS that's installed on a 2900 series router is track. I don't have a version that supports SLA. The interface is connected to a switch that the ISP gave, and all of the tests that I've done refuse to make the circuit go down. If I were to lose the circuit, the interface won't show to be down unless the switch were to go down.
Is there any way with track to see that the provider's circuit went down on a switch? I was going to set up sla to ping the ISP's address, but I can't do that unless I upgrade the OS. These are a pair of routers running hsrp at a remote datacenter. Is sla the only way that I'm going to be able to accomplish this? I have tried track with different options in gns and all of them keep the CE's interface up and doesn't show it down. Watching a route in the table isn't feasible because I wouldn't want it to fail over because another site is having problems. Tracking the route doesn't work for connected routes either because the route itself doesn't leave the table as long as the interface is up.
