Sometimes, either browsing from my computer, iPad or iPhone, I sometimes get a "can't connect to server" error, and it's not just a few forums here and there, it is a lot of them. But if I give them 5 or 10 minutes they will come. Imkmow that this isn't a normal up issue with sites servers actually being down. I thought it was a Google chrome issue, but it's been happening on safari. It hasn't started till we switched our Internet plan to 3mbps and a new router.
My laptop will not connect through my router anymore. I'm getting the message ( Cannot communicate with Primary DNS server (192.168.1.254). It works fine with an ethernet cable. I have a WII that uses the router also and I can watch a Netflix movie on it so the router seems to be working. My desktop computer is working fine through a DSL connection. The laptop is a Gateway and is running Vista.
My wireless network connection appears to be working; I can access the Internet from my laptop, iPad, iPhone, but not from the Dell PC that is the 'host' computer. Local Area Connection 2 Status window shows it as working, when I try to repair it, I get hung up with an error msg:
>>"Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Clearing NetBT For assistance, contact the person who manages your network." <<
System info: Dell PC (don't know model) running Windows XP Home Edition v. 2002 Service Pack 3; Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E 7500 @ 2.93GHz, 1.96 GB of RAM
I just got myself a Cisco RV220W, connected my laptop to configure it. I receive an IP adress by DHCP (192.168.1.x) and can ping the router (192.168.1.1). However, when I try to connect to the router by the web interface, I receive this message in my browser (Chrome):
The webpage at https://192.168.1.1/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error 113 (net::ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH): Unknown error.
In FireFox: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.1. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)
In IE9: I get no error message, the page never loads
Is it DoA or how to get connected to the web interface?
When i try to connect kf to wifi router, I keep getting password error message when I type my network pw. I have no problem connecting to other wifi connections
So I'm having issues with connecting to the internet. I'm connected to the network but cannot browse the internet or play online games. Currently I'm on my housemates laptop. None of my house mates are having issues. My computer is a laptop and connects to the internet wirelessly. I don't have a cable to try connecting straight to the router unfortunately.
Last night my internet provider (Time Warner) did an update that caused all their networks to change their names/passwords. My house mate got the new name and password and when I used it it worked fine for several hours. While in the middle of a game, my internet and my housemates internet stopped working for no reason. Theirs are fine now, mine is still having issues.
I have reset the router, restarted my computer, and looked into some DNS stuff. I've done the commands ipconfig /flushdns along with ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. I also changed my preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 for my Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4) and that did not work. (edit: also tried 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220. No luck there either)
I've tried turning off my firewalls and connecting but that doesn't work.
i am attaching the image which i recieved last night when i was assigning the IP but i got the error message which does not resembel to IP conflict error messsage
After making some physical changes to my home network (which had been running for sometime without incident) my desktop machine stopped (home built MSI X58 Platinum MB) talking to the network. I get "media not connected" even though I am connected, and the connection works for any other computer I attach. I get indication of proper physical connection at both ends (router and computer ethernet port), however I get no connection and the default 169 .... IP address. It does not matter if I create a fixed IP address in the router and set the ip address of the port to correspond. I have tried all the ip resets, stack resets, remove and reinstall the network ports, etc., to no avail. Connecting directly to the cable modem did not work. I even installed a new buss ethernet card with its own drivers and I get the same 'media not connected'.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium -- Service Pack 1, 64-bit Browser: IE 9 Computer: Dell Studio 1745
I am receiving an error message window titled "Wireless Configuration" with the following message:
"OLE initialization failed. Make sure that the OLE libraries are the correct version."
I cannot find anything about updating OLE libraries in Windows 7. I have not installed any new software, and my computer is barely 2 years old. I do not find it a coinicidence that my free Dell tech support expired last month, and now I'm having issues with the Dell wireless card.
I’m deploying new images on my switch 2960 24TT L. After installing the new image (c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-58.SE1.bin) and reboot the switch I have always this error message : “Error loading "c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-58.SE1.bin"
Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process. Loading "flash:/c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-58.SE1.bin"...@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ ”
But the switch still boot well. Why do I have this error message?
LMS installed on Windows 2003. Backup fais with message "Backup failed.ERROR(1297): Fatal error: Database engine 'UPMDbEngine' could not be started on database 'upm' in Bulk mode.."
I have three PCs in my lan. (A, B & C).I can access shared drives of B & C from A
I can access shared drive of A from C but cannot access B from C
I can access shared drive of C from A & B.
I get error message "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer".
All the systems are Win 7, A & B are desktop and C is a laptop.I added the C's name in A's "Security Settings -> Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment -> Access this Computer from the Network" too. Still can't access.
Whenever I try to goto a webpage within any browser, despite me being connected to my network(though 1 received packet to every 20 or so sent packet ratio) it tells me that DNS lookup failed. I had a similar issue on my other pc that I use more often, though connecting through WIFI momentarily resolved the issue, before I returning to wired, where everything has been fine. My other pc however has no wifi adapter. So ive been stuck.
tying to connect CSM client to CSM server (ver 4.0) and getting attached error message. The server is running, no errors reported while installation, all services are up and fine. I tried to install client locally on the server and connect it that way with no luck. CSM server runs on Win 2008, firewall disabled.
As soon as I connected my ASR 1002s to the Internet and digested the Internet BGP table, I began receiving this message. I’ve google’d and turned up nothing so far. I assume I need to allocate more memory to this process.
We recently upgraded our any connect client from -2.5.3055 to -3.0.07059. This is running on a ASA HA pair running 8.4(2)8. Since the upgrade our users are seeing continual disconnects.
We have 2 Cat 6509 connected to 1 Gbps Ethernet WAN Link. On each 6509 we use 2 Gbps IPSec SPA Encryption cards for Encryption. The encrypted traffic goes to a GRE Tunnel. This morning I found some error messages in syslog.
I am unable to connect to the internet on my desktop computer. The error message I receive is" Download failed(12007) The sever name or address could not be resolved" I am running windows 7. Hooked up to att uverse. My laptop is working as you can see by sending this message. I have been trying to fix this problem for the last 2 days to no avail. I uninstalled norton hoping it was a firewall problem. On the local area connection it shows IPV4 connedtivety: No Network access.
I have just gone through hours of tech support with my ISP and still cannot seem to get online. Problem is the same as recent posts by jerguy1928, with message "DNS lookup failed...." coming up in Google Chrome. Both IE and FF just say cannot connect.Running Windows 7 on laptop. I have tried alt DNS settings (Google and others), all the CMD suggestions, disabling firewalls etc, etc! Other computer in house connects just fine.Ping works fine. Really, there appears to be no reason to not be able to connect - since I am actually connected!
So I was having trouble loading a game on my computer and I was scrolling through forums looking for an answer and one answer that supposively worked for a lot of people was to unisntall and reinstall my network card.IT told me to go to devices -> right click network adapter -> uninstall -> then scan for hardwarer changes to reinstall When I clicked uninstall an error message popped up and said "Unable to uninstall device because device is required on startup" and then it apparently just uninstalled it anyway and it showed back up after I clicked "scan for hardware changes".Now ever since, everytime I try and connect to the internet my computer says "Limited or no connectivity" and I'm unable to access the internet on that computer, the computer I am on now can connect just fine, so it must have something to do with the network card that i supposively unisntalled.
So I have an issue with getting a laptop hooked onto the router signal. The router is a brand spankin new Linksys EA4500 and the laptop is an IBM which is running Win XP (not sure of SP version as it is a customer's comp. at a hotel I run). Anyway, the error message I am encountering is:The network password needs to be 40 bits r 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal charactersAt first I thought is was my router password since it contained a $ symbol so I changed it to only letters and numbers but still didn't work. I have never encountered this error message on any laptops and no other rooms have been affected.
I have two desktops connected to the internet through wired connections to a router. I also have one laptop that is wireless connected to the internet via the same router. (Also have another laptop running Vista, but not using it right now.) and all are part of the same work group with unique computer names.Desktop 1 can see that there is a work group, but cannot see the computers in the work group. Error message about permissions.
My desktop is telling me I need to install wireless internet hardware. Is that something I buy and install? I am trying to connect to the internet through time warner cable wireless.
