View 2 RepliesI have a Linksys E1000 router which was working fine. My hard drive crashed; I replaced the hard drive and now my router is not recognized. I have reset it and tried to reinstall it with the CD. Nothing works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced a WRT120N router with a new one thinking that the old one was damaged. During setup, the router wasn't recognized. I used the same connection for a line from the internet to my LAN connectin and the line works fine. Connecting through the router is no good.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got E1000 cisco wireless router. Started setup, everything worked fine and replaced admin password with my own. For some reason got error message. tried to redo setup and got message router not recognized. used laptop and found out that wireless works fine. After few days noticed that there is a (mynetworkname) guest connection you can connect without any password. i don't need that stupid thing and my question is how to disable guest network? I cannot reach Main Menu from cd and have no idea where to look for it when i connect to router by web.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an EA2700 (fimware "classic" 1.0.14.129982) that used to work perfectly fine with a Comcast cable modem. I just recently switched to Charter with an Arris TM902 modem and that's where the problems started. The cable modem will not recognize my router. I have to plug in a computer into the cable model when it starts up. Then I need to clone the MAC address and restart the router (after disconnecting the computer). Why isn't the cable modem recognizing the router when I restart it? I guess this could work if it would be a one time thing but I had to power-cycle the modem and it stopped recognizing the router even with the cloned MAC address. So I had to do the whole spiel again.
Is there any way to make this work easier? Should I update my router's firmware to the "smart" one?
I have an E4200 wireless router and have bought myself an external hd for media sharing (STOR.E STEEL S 1TB disk (PA4252E-1HJ0). Unfortunately this disk comes with a Virtual CD partition on it, which can not be deleted or removed (url....)!! Despite this being massively annoying by itself it also renders my disk useless, as my router does not recognise the disk (to to the additional partition). Is there any possibility to extend the firmware or to provide a fix that allows me to use the partitions on the disk, despite this additional "virtual" device?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a E3000 and just upgraded my Mac with the OS X Mountain Lion. I can't access my external HD anymore, although when I go to the router set up, on the storage tab, the router appears to recognize the HD.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just updated Cisco software and my external hard drive is no longer recognized by Cisco. It is a Seagate drive that is listed on the Cisco tested - passed - approved list. It worked prior to this update. I have disconnected the drive. Reconnected it. Rebooted. Turned machine and router on and off and its still not recognized.

When I resume from sleep, my WUSB600N fails to be recognized. All other USB devices are recognized. Using up to date chipset, and Windows 7 drivers for the WUSB600N. Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 Rev 2.1.

My problem is that whenever I put my laptop into sleep mode, upon waking it up I get a USB not recognized, and have to remove and reinsert by 600N device. Even if I log off before putting my laptop into the sleep mode. I'm fairly sure I have the latest driver update, but can't be sure.

if we bought the right thing, whats wrong then? : The problem is, she installed everything like how its told in steps 1a-g of: steps [URL] then she plugged in restarted like the next step told. even after a new restart, the laptop seems to not recognise the card. even the power light isn't light up. Is the power light only light up when its also installed and recogised by the computer? or does it have to light up from the moment its connected to the slot? we couldn't also find it at the device manager:
the network adapters we found are, i think, the build in ones. at what folder at the hardware tree had the card in de bus has to appear? i dont know what the only device thats not recognised here, must be, but we cant install it with the cdrom of the cisco card, so i dont thing it is the cisco card?
I have a DVR connected to CCTV cameras that I would like to connect to my computer via Ethernet and a Netgear N150 router which also handles my broadband. A program called VideoViewer is installed on the computer which works with the DVR to view images on the computer via ethernet.it works with a Zoom router, but not the Netgear.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have never had to do anything to connect to my fathers netgear router or my own netgear router. I would just turn on my pc and have internet. After my brother touched my computer it no longer recognizes any wireless connection. My internet provider says that I need a new router. I don't think that is the problem because after my brother played with my computer it was unable to see any connections (not even neighbors which I normally see). This makes me think something is wrong with my computer not the router.
PS. I do have my wireless switch turned to on. My brother doesn't know what he did but will not be allowed to play with it again.

my Huawei E353 dongle/modem is not recognised by the MR3420 router. The router functions perfectly with a different dongle (E122). The E353 works fine when connected directly to laptop so I am happy it is functioning fine. Could not find a bin file for the E353.

I received the device today from Amazon UK. The device fails to connect with my Vodafone Huawei K3770. I have tried various things including selecting PAYG and Contract, tried manual settings. Also in Modem Settings there were no modems, hence installed a version of the K3770 for TP-MR3020.
Though the device is expected to work with K3770 (as stated on various sites) there seems to be no modem bin file provided on the TP Link site.
There is a way to block access to a website by password protecting it through my linksys router, which is one of thoe wrt54gs. I know I can completely block access of a website and can restrict the viewing hours of facebook at certain times through the router admin IP site but was wondering if it was possible to make it so you have to use a password to view said certain site. If there isn't is there any way maybe through a program or do I have to go through my ISP to see if they can do what I am asking for.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an e2000 wireless router. I have the latest software version for the Cisco software.I have noticed that Cisco sets up the same password to access the router setup page as the wireless password..Anyone that connects to the main SSID will be able to connect to the setup page at 192.168.1.1...I know that I can change the password in the linksys setup page to whatever I want, but then when I open the Cisco software, it wants me to change the password to match what the administrator password is.Don't they realize that a wireless password is different than the Administrator password to access the router settings?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried multiple times to hard reset my Wireless G WRT54G ver.2 router, but have had no success. I held the reset for 15 sec, 30 sec, 2 min, etc and also tried holding it and then unplugging it and then plugging it back in. I've tried everything that I have seen suggested. My problem is that I don't know what the password is to access my router's web utility thing and I need to change the IP address. With every reset attempt, I hope that the default admin password will work, but sadly no.
