The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a router so I could connect my Toshiba laptop to the internet. After I connected the ethernet cable to the router and plugged everything in, I installed the program from the CD that it came with. After the whole process, it says "You are now connected to the internet!". Yeah well when I try to get on the internet, it suddenly takes the connection off. On my wifi status, it says it's not connected anymore. When I try to connect again, it says I'm connected, although if I get on internet explorer, it takes off the connection again. Though when it is connected, it says no internet connection available although I am connected to the router. So basically, I'm connected to the router, but not the router to the internet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Belkin n150 router. Connected it to my modem and PC and I'm recieving internet. Connected my phone and laptop and getting wireless.The issue, however, is that I cannot login to the router page. The login says to leave blank for default, but it gives me an incorrect password error. I have tried resetting using the button located above the power cable to go back to defaults, but I continue to recieve the error.
I have tried a all the other usual default passwords, password, administrator, admin, etc.I've gone through pages of google search results and found nothing. Have I missed something obvious or did Walmart sell me a defective router?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one desktop PC at home, Windows XP, and have a Time Warner wired modem for internet. I work from home and connect to my office computer through Remote Desktop Connection.I purchased a Roku2 video streaming player and bought a Belkin N150 wireless router in order to get the signal from my desktop computer out to the living area where the Roku is located. The connection with the Roku is perfect. However, my remote desktop connection now disconnects constantly and internet browsing on the local computer is very slow and choppy.The configuration I used is 1) Belkin ethernet wire from Belkin to back of modem 2) modem ethernet wire from Belkin to computer.If I remove the Belkin and put everything back the way it was, all is fine ... but, of course, we then have no Roku.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently had trouble with my Comcast Xfinity internet service and called to have them send a refresh signal. I was up and running again with my ethernet, but my wireless service using a Belkin N150 wireless router hasn't worked.From everything I had read I needed to do a hard reset of the Belkin N150 router and then reconfigure it's settings. Well I did the hard reset and power cycled everything, the modem, computer and router. I then plugged in everything again and connected the modem to the WAN on the router with one cable, and the computer to the LAN on the router with another cable. (I am using a Macbook Pro operating with Mac OSX). Now I cannot connect to the url...to configure the settings on the router at all!
I think the problem has something to do with my IP address. I opened the network settings and saw that my IP address is 50.138.25.x while my Subnet Mask is 255.255.254.0 and the router is being listed as 50.138.24.x. How to change this IP address to get my router connected or could it be another problem?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy WinXP Home PC won't connect properly (limited connectivity/no internet) via ethernet cable to my router (Belkin N150). Ipconfig /all shows the IP address as 169.254.117.71 but this is determined by an entry in the registry at HLMSYSTEMCurre....'DhcpIPAddress' - REG_SZ - 169.254.117.71. Also listed at 'IPAutoconfigurationAddress'. My laptop connects fine plugged into the same port getting it's IP automatically (192.168.2.2) and getting internet fine. I've tried adding a DWORD entry 'IPAutoconfigurationEnabled' = 0, also tried deleting the 2 values.Tried setting the IP manually to 192.168.2.6 - limited connectivity goes away but I get no internet connection from the router nor file sharing.

So I don't think it is the router. I have tried to reinstall the router. And the PC tells me there is a network available, but it will not connect. My question is... Can the wifi card be bad? Is there a key combination that might have been put in by accident?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin N300 router. When a computer is hard-wired to the router, I get about 26Mbps, but all of the wireless devices in my house are limited to about 56kbps. I tried logging into the router to see if there was something "choking" the connection speed, but nothing really jumped out at me. Is there a setting of some kind that could be causing this?
I do have a signal repeater since my house is so big, but there is nothing within those controls that would seem to have that kind of effect either.
I bought my own modem, a Motorolla Extreme something or other, is a DOCSIS 3.0. My router is a Belkin N150. When I plug my desktop computer directly into the router, I get speeds upwards of 50Mbps. The wireless, however, gets about 0.15Mbps download, but as much as 12Mbps upload.
I know it's not computer specific, because I plugged my laptop directly into the modem and got the full speed. AND I put a wireless adaptor on the desktop and got the slower speeds.I live in a densely populated area and there are 27 other (visible) wireless networks available (all locked, unfortunately. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this situation in the first place). So I tried every channel, doing a speedtest with each, and I got almost identical results each time: 0.12-0.17Mbps download, 11-13Mbps upload. I can't imagine that getting only 0.15Mbps could be a result of a channel being clogged, but I tried it anyway;
