View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Belkin Surf wireless modem/router with this computer (Vista) no problems at all. When I boot up my HTPC (Windows 7) all is fine until it tries to connect with the Belkin Surf. Then its Blue Screen of Death and no joy. If I turn off the modem, the HTPC boots up perfectly normally. Turn the modem on and as soon as I try to recognise the home network, it crashes again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have replaced my father's wired modem (he's with [url]... in the UK) with a Belkin Surf+ (F7D2301uk) router running firmware version 1.00.16. When he tries to access the network from his Tosh C660 Win 7 Home Premium, 64bit laptop the network connection between the laptop & router disconnects after a minute or so. The only way to reestablish a connection is to Disconnect and Connect again in the Wireless Network section of Networking panel. But here's the weird bit. My own Mac Book keeps connected fine without any problems as does my Sony Ericsson X10 phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, brand new Inspiron n7110 lappy running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit). Got it home, fired it up and found that it could see the network, but refused to actually do anything with it, or even cough up a specific error message other than 'Windows was unable to connect to (networkname)'.Fiddled with it for a while, entered and re-entered the passkey, mucked about with settings, made sure that the network name and whatnot were all entered correctly, and eventually got annoyed and simply disabled security. Lo and behold, it worked beautifully... sometimes. Connectability was still badly erratic (didn't get any unplanned disconnects, but when it booted up, it was pretty much even odds as to whether or not it would connect). But as soon as I re-enabled security (WEP, in this case.I suppose I really should figure out how to get WPA to work, but one problem at a time >.<)The router is a Siemens SE567.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy WinXP Home PC won't connect properly (limited connectivity/no internet) via ethernet cable to my router (Belkin N150). Ipconfig /all shows the IP address as 169.254.117.71 but this is determined by an entry in the registry at HLMSYSTEMCurre....'DhcpIPAddress' - REG_SZ - 169.254.117.71. Also listed at 'IPAutoconfigurationAddress'. My laptop connects fine plugged into the same port getting it's IP automatically (192.168.2.2) and getting internet fine. I've tried adding a DWORD entry 'IPAutoconfigurationEnabled' = 0, also tried deleting the 2 values.Tried setting the IP manually to 192.168.2.6 - limited connectivity goes away but I get no internet connection from the router nor file sharing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently updated to Windows 8, and before updating, Windows 8 setup recognized the drivers for my Belkin G Desktop wireless card. After installation, my system was able to connect to my wi-fi network without any problem. However, due to the power going off at my home, an automatic update on Windows 8 got interrupted.
Since then, it has caused a ton of problems, which caused me to finally re-install Windows 8. Now, however, it does not recognize the wireless card and its drivers, and does not let me install from the CD, or through any alternate sources ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedCan I set up WPA2 on my Belkin N router F5D8236-4 V3 for a Macintosh running OS10.6.8? And for another machine running OS 10.8? The manual seems to talk about WPA2 for Windows and WEP for Macs, but I can't tell if this is because there are some issues before using the protocols.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA N600 Router Model F9J1102v1 router first installed in July 2012 with WPA-PSK, MAC Address Filtering and "Self Healing" enabled would not allow a new PC to connect via an RJ45 port. Belkin support ask for the unit to be reset to factory settings which is done and the Security system re-enabled again. Valid MAC Addresses start to be added and midway a PC is discovered in the Network without its MAC address added. Closer scrutiny reveals that another unknown device has also found a way into the router and that the 'Block' option on the MAC list is also failing to work. Anyone think of what one should do with this security shambles other than turn the thing off quick?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new N600 dual band router (2.4 and 5.0 GHz). I set up security to use WPA/WPA2 PSK (AES) on both bands. The devices that can see the 5.0 band could connect without issue, however those devices that can only see the 2.4 band (older devices like the Nintendo Wii, my desktop computer with wireless, and iPhone 4's could not connect). In troubleshooting, I finally disabled security on the 2.4 band and everything connected without issue, but I cant figure out how to successfully enable security on both bands at the same time.

I have the version 3xxx adapter yet I can't get it to work at all.
I've tried letting windows see it, manually pick drivers from the file I download, that doesn't work. I've tried using the installer and that only makes things worse. IT SAYS IT SUPPORTS 64bit 7!
I have a WUSB11 v2.8 laying around but that is even worse looking 64bit driver wise.
For some reason my laptop has stopped connecting to my wireless network. It shows up as available with Excellent signal. I know the password is correct and that hasnt changed but now when i right click and connect it INSTANTLY says "Windows cannot connect to Area51" before it even seems like its tried. I gave windows a chance and see what it thought. Just told me to restart the router which i had already and that didnt work.Tried changing the encription method and its made no difference, be it AES, TKIP, AES + TKIP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK. Every setting i try just doesnt work, but i can connect with my iPhone?!
Here is the details from CMD
