I found anod secruity network filter driver for D-Link router to install on my pc , I don't use d-link router so it shouldn't be there, and also someone around my area is using my wireless internet connection, this how they must of got in. Now should this be deleted .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 NICs in my Windows 7 PC at work.NIC #1 connects to our private network and is also how I connect to the internet. NIC #2 connects to our customer's network and does not allow internet connectivity for me.When I first boot up my Windows 7 machine I get the following info in route print:Despite the fact that I have a persistent route with metric 1 to send my internet traffic to the 172 subnet, the internet requests go to the 10 subnet. I am guessing that is because the non-persistent route to the 10 subnet has a metric of 20 vs. the 21 for the 172 subnet. I delete the route 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 10.242.1.254 and I am able to connect to the internet again.HOWEVER, after something like 4-6 hours, (without rebooting) the bad route automatically reappears in my route table! I become aware of it because I suddenly have connectivity problems. There are no entries in the Windows Logs that seem to be related (i.e., no DHCP renewal requests.) so I do not know how or why it reappears.

Our network is currently setup as this:We have two Internet providers. One for each network that are physically separate except a a Cisco 3560 which is used for failover. In the event one ISP goes down, one network can use the others ISP, however, it has no access to the other network beyond that switch.Currently, each network has a web content filter (SmartFilter) server which is going end of life in a year. We would like to replace each server with a single box at the front of the network for filtering. Other bonuses would be things such as bandwidth control, virus protection, etc.Perhaps the most important thing is to make sure our ISP bandwidth download speed does not get hampered by the device we choose to put at the front. We have 50mb download on one and 30mb on the other. If the device throttles the download at 10mb then it's useless to us.

I would like only to allow those devices that belongs to the domain, meaning if a user connects a computer or any devices that concerns network which I have not allowed the mac addresses, it will be denied access to the network. However, any of the allowable devices could able to use any port of the switch, meaning I dont want to associate an allowable Mac Address to a physical port on the switch.

Of course, it doesn't tell me which entry is invalid and I have a number of them. After further checking.. View 1 Replies View RelatedI had no problem running both 2.4 and 5.0 Bandwidth. With WiFi password and without. It does it's job. The 2.4Ghz Range Plus works. I have set up the router on the 2nd floor at the highest it can go. And everyone get's full bars all over the house. I even get 4-5 bars outside in my car on my phone.
The only issue I have with this thing is a damn new netbook I got for Christmas with a Mac Address starting with 0C-EE-E6-XX-XX-XX. The Router finds the Mac Address invalid. In which I can come to understand cause seeing a Mac Address starting like that is completely new to me. Every Mac Address I have, started with 00 except the netbook. So now, I spent days trying to find firmware updates, patches, anything! I even attempted to spoof the Mac Address on the netbook but Microsoft has a bug on Windows 7. (I have the Starter Edition that came with the netbook)
Windows 7 Mac Spoofing works with WIRED Connection. But it does not work with WIRELESS Connection. I used 3rd Party Tools: SMAC and etc... I attempted Registry Edits, I changed even the value key to the "Orginal Mac Address" and it just wont change [New Strings/Network Address Edits included]. I have been banging my head about this for a week now. The Internets has many answers but they did not work. So Spoofing the Mac Address is out of the question. Until Microsoft fixes this bug.
Anyway: Did D-Link release any sort of beta update/driver/firmware or anything to resolve this at all? Is there a modded firmware to force the Router to take this stupid paradox of a Mac Address?

Nothing to do with Revision, cordless phones,I saw this asked once before specifically here, but it was never answered.After several attacks via our cable network and neighbors, we've HAD to turn on MAC filtering. There are TONS of devices attached normally so two situations popped up:
#1: What happens when you max out the authorized MAC address listings? Does the page get longer when you save/reboot it? Do I have to do it manually from there forward and where can I get down to the core programming level to edit the code and put the MAC's that are around and on 100% of the time to open up the plug-in list on the GUI?
#2: Guest Zone - we NEED a way to have random guests get on our Network with a different password we can randomly change to prevent the outside abuse, etc. but am I understanding what little else has been posted that the MAC filtering also covers the Guest Zone and therefore I have to stick them in there before they could simply log on with the current password? Is there any way to change/stop that without eliminating MAC filtration as a whole?
I deleted the above program and now my wifi does not work. I've updated the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled them and finally have replaced the wifi adaptor itself,

We formally had a "Linksys" router, now we have "Cisco Linksys e2500" . I had not made the connection that Linksys and Cisco were the same. We had "linksys" deleted from our "program". I currently use the RV042 with Protect Link enabled to filter out various categories from our network traffic. I noticed that this feature is not included with the RV042G.
Is this something Cisco will decide to add back in later? In the meantime, how to block content on the network? The basic URL and keyword filter will not meet our needs, since it is much easier to let a service such as Trend Micro manage what is blocked in the categories they offer.
I'm new to IT, and have been put in charge of managing our servers hile my boss is on vacation.We currently have a Sonicwall Network Security Appliance that handles our Firewall/VPN and have web content filtering set in place.I have a user who belongs to 2 CFS policy groups that we have set up. I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.
Having an issue with a Cisco Linksys E1500 on a home network. The device has a feature to provide a guest wireless network but the guest network can't get to the internet. A wired connection is fine, as is the normal wireless network but not the guest. The cheesy thing is, that it doesn't list an option for what type of wireless security protocol you want on the guest network. I'm assuming that it uses the same security protocol that the normal wireless network uses, but who knowsEspecially weird is that it asks you what password you want on the guest network but then the guest network show to be insecure when you try to connectthought maybe it was something funky with some of my configurations so I went ahead and factory defaulted it and just set it up with an insecure network for both the normal and guest networks. This didn't solve it. The guest network still couldn't get to the internet. In fact, the guest network can't even ping the router.
